When Hanyu finally put the other end of the chocolate in his mouth, Kaito's camera precisely captured that moment.
Through the viewfinder, he saw his mother's eyes shimmering beneath her half-closed eyelids, and Yuzuru's hand was firmly gripping her lower back, pressing her against him—this should have been a shocking scene, but the illusory filter of reality made his brain automatically rationalize everything.
"It's just that elders care about younger generations."
Kaito mechanically pressed the shutter.
His task was complete, but to prevent Koizumi Akako from denying it, he needed to take a few more photos.
As Kuroba Chikage retreated, panting, glistening chocolate stains remained on her lips. Her legs were so weak she could barely stand, relying entirely on Yuzuru Nan's arm around her waist for support.
The feeling of being in the public eye made her fingertips tingle with excitement.
It felt as if an electric current was flowing through my body, and every nerve was throbbing joyfully.
"Is it good?" Her voice was so hoarse it was almost unbelievable.
"It's delicious."
Yu Sheng Nan licked away the last chocolate stains from her lips and chuckled, "Master's wife is sweeter than chocolate."
Their lips and tongues intertwined, and the rich chocolate made the kiss even sweeter.
Kuroba Chikage abruptly withdrew her hand, her chest heaving violently.
The perfume she was wearing today was bitter orange and white musk. The unique scent was originally fresh and elegant, but now it was mixed with the sweetness of melted chocolate, creating a kind of dizzying and ambiguous atmosphere.
Kaito's camera faithfully captured his mother's trembling fingers as she adjusted her collar, as well as the lingering flush on her neck.
"This isn't fair!"
Seeing the two acting so intimately, Yukiko couldn't accept it. She grabbed Hanyu Nan's tie, her sunglasses sliding down to the tip of her nose, and said, "You naughty little brother, I want some too!"
Her pouty expression made her look just like a little girl vying for attention, completely unlike an internationally renowned movie star.
Kuroba Chikage, who was straightening her slightly disheveled collar, raised an eyebrow upon hearing this: "Is Yukiko... jealous?"
"Who...who's jealous!" Yukiko stammered, then puffed out her chest. "I'm just protecting my right as the older sister!"
Yuuki Kusunoki couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at Yukiko.
She had curled her bangs today, and her long, brown hair cascaded over her shoulders, swaying gently with her excited movements.
"Does my dear sister want to feed me chocolate too?" he teased her on purpose.
Yukiko's face didn't blush at all. She raised her chin, looking confident: "Of course! What Sister Chikage can do, I can only do better!"
Kuroba Chikage covered her mouth and chuckled: "Are you sure, Yukiko-chan? This requires... skill."
"Tch, don't look down on me!"
Yukiko snatched the chocolate box, her fingertips hovering over the dazzling array of chocolates before finally choosing a heart-shaped one. "When I was kissing my naughty little brother, you were probably still nowhere to be found!"
She spoke smugly as she put the chocolate between her lips.
Unlike Chikage Kuroba's shyness, Yukiko's movements were elegant and deliberate, almost theatrical—she slightly tilted her head to show off her perfect jawline, her eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, every detail meticulously designed.
Yuzuru smiled and leaned closer, but just before touching it, he suddenly turned and bit the other end of the chocolate.
Yukiko's eyes widened, not expecting him to pull this move, but she quickly reacted and used the tip of her tongue to push the chocolate toward him.
The two exchanged toasts, the chocolate melting between their lips and teeth, its sweet flavor spreading far and wide.
The faint scent of rose perfume lingered around Yukiko, contrasting sharply with the bitter orange scent of Chikage Kuroba.
"Click".
A faint sound of a camera shutter could be heard not far away.
The sound was almost negligible amidst the clamor of the crowd, but it stood out remarkably clearly in this quiet corner.
Kaito was holding up his phone, recording the scene with a blank expression.
As a master thief, his voyeuristic skills were impeccable. He meticulously selected angles and even used the light perfectly, capturing every detail flawlessly.
"Have you taken enough photos?"
A calm voice suddenly rang out beside me.
Kaito's hand trembled, and he almost dropped his phone.
He inwardly groaned, but kept a straight face. He slowly looked down and saw a young detective wearing glasses staring straight at him with sharp and inquisitive eyes.
Holy crap, how did this guy get here too?
"What's wrong, little one?" Kaito thought to himself as he quickly adjusted his expression, raising the corners of his mouth to reveal a standard waiter's smile.
Conan pushed up his glasses, the lenses reflecting a classic white light: "Uncle, you seem quite interested in the guests over there?"
Kaito's heart skipped a beat, but he remained outwardly calm: "Ah, is that Ms. Yukiko? I'm a huge fan of hers. I've loved her acting since I was little, and I couldn't resist taking a picture to remember this opportunity..."
Conan followed the "staff member's" gaze and witnessed his mother and Yuzuru sharing the same chocolate.
Logically, he should have been shocked or even angry, but the illusion made him automatically imagine it as a normal interaction of "older sister loving younger brother".
"Isn't it normal for an older sister to feed her younger brother chocolate with her mouth?"
Conan muttered to himself unconsciously, then shook his head slightly as if trying to shake off the strange thoughts in his mind, turning his attention back to the suspicious "staff member" in front of him.
Kaito was oblivious to Conan's unusual behavior, as he was intently checking the clarity of the photos he had just taken.
If the photo doesn't turn out well, I'll have to bother my mom to do it again later.
Both were preoccupied with their own agendas—one focused on catching the phantom thief, the other on completing his mission—and neither paid any attention to their mothers' situation.
"Uncle, can I see your work ID?"
Conan suddenly asked out of the blue.
His intuition told him that the "staff member" in front of him was very likely the Phantom Thief Kid.
Upon hearing this, Kaito's heart skipped a beat, but he remained outwardly calm: "Of course..."
Having interacted with Conan many times, Kaito knew very well that Conan was definitely not an ordinary child.
Fortunately, in order to sneak into the exhibition hall, he had managed to knock out a real staff member, change into the person's clothes, and even take the person's work ID along with him, so he wasn't too panicked now...
