Chapter 924 The True Evil Demon King

Time always flies when you're having a leisurely time.

A few days have passed in the blink of an eye.

Early morning, Teitan.

"Conan, here's the manga you wanted."

"Wow, how come there are so many?"

Early in the morning, Conan had just walked into the classroom and sat down when Mitsuhiko came over carrying a heavy bag. When he put it down, the table shook.

"Of course, after all, there are 24 volumes in total."

Mitsuhiko shrugged, looking as if he had done Mitsuhiko a great favor.

"24 volumes..."

Conan never expected the manga to have been serialized for so long.

Recently, due to someone's hobby, the Suzuki Group has invested a lot of incentive funds in the anime and manga industry, and various authors of novels, anime, and comics have been updating their works at a frenzy.

The entire world of anime and manga is thriving, full of vitality and growth.

"Oh, by the way, when you return them, remember to return them separately. If you return them all at once, it will be very tiring for me to carry them back." Mitsuhiko reminded Conan as he left.

Conan was speechless. "Then why don't you lend me the two at once?"

There's so much, it must be tiring for him to carry it all...

Before Conan could finish his internal monologue, a red figure sat down next to him, and Conan instinctively shrank back.

Wearing a red sweater, Ai placed her super-sized backpack on her desk. Noticing Conan's little action, she smiled slightly and said, "Oh, so the great detective reads comics too."

Conan: "..."

What are you talking about? Detectives are human too!

Conan has always kept his distance from this wicked little girl, avoiding any trouble if possible. Now, hearing her words, Conan leaned back and chuckled dryly, "Detectives need to relax their brain cells occasionally. What do you scientists know?"

"That's fine too."

Ai nodded in agreement, revealing a smile that Conan found extremely wicked: "After all, a lively little mouse is always more suitable for experiments than a half-dead one. After you've relaxed your brain cells, remember to draw two vials of blood from me so I can see the difference between the relaxed and unrelaxed detective cells."

Conan: "!!!"

He really wants to slap himself right now; why did he have to say that?

Two vials of blood, said so easily.

The problem is, that syringe is the kind used to give injections to pigs, and it's thicker than a pig's lifespan!

Conan stared at the heavy bag of comics on the table, then stole a glance at the silver thermos Ai had placed on the corner of the table—it was from here that she had taken out the syringe last time. The thermos was still gleaming coldly, which sent a chill down his spine.

"Relax, relax is fine, but forget about the blood test, okay?" Conan chuckled awkwardly and moved his chair back. "Look how thin my arm is. If I have two vials of blood drawn, I won't be able to run in PE class this afternoon. What if Genta and the others laugh at me..."

"oh?"

Ai tapped her fingertips lightly on the table, the cuff of her red sweater slipping down to reveal a small section of her fair wrist. "Are you worried about PE class, or are you worried that when you can't run anymore, I'll 'casually' give you an extra slap?"

No sooner had she finished speaking than Genta's loud voice suddenly came from the back door of the classroom: "Conan! Mitsuhiko said you borrowed a manga, hurry up and take it out so we can share it!"

With the sound of footsteps, Genta and Ayumi ran over carrying the bread they had just bought. Their eyes lit up instantly when they saw the large bag on the table.

Conan, grasping at straws, immediately pointed to the bag and changed the subject: "Come on, the manga is here, let's go look at it over there!"

As she was about to pick up the bag and hide in the corner of the classroom, Ai grabbed the edge of the bag first, looked up at Genta and Ayumi and smiled gently: "Don't rush, Conan said he'll do me a small favor after I finish reading the manga, it's not too late to read it after that."

"Help? What kind of help?" Ayumi tilted her head curiously.

Ai picked up the thermos and slowly unscrewed the lid—it contained no syringe, only a cup of steaming cocoa. She poured a small cup and handed it to Ayumi before turning to Conan, whose face was stiff: "It's nothing, I just wanted to see if Conan could solve the mystery I gave him yesterday faster once he relaxed. After all..."

She paused deliberately, her gaze sweeping over Conan's arm. "If you can't untie it, you'll have to find another way to 'energize' yourself."

Conan looked at Genta and Ayumi's expectant eyes, then at the barely concealed amusement on Ai's lips, and could only groan inwardly before nodding with a forced smile: "Okay, okay! It's just a mystery puzzle, I'm sure I can solve it!"

He didn't notice that when Ai put the thermos back in the drawer, her fingertip quietly touched a small transparent box inside—inside the box, two syringes, thinner but longer than the last one, were lying quietly.

In Ai's eyes, Conan and his friends are like lab rats in her laboratory, and as a scientist, she naturally wants to let them get some exercise.

Just like chickens, domesticated ones are never as chewy as wild ones.

Sigh, this scientist really goes to great lengths for the physical and mental health of the mice.

Ai took a sip of cocoa and sighed softly.

Meanwhile, the great detective had completely given up resisting, hanging his head with a look of utter despair.

Compared to that guy Hanyu Nanami, Ai Haibara, this black-hearted loli, is the real evil demon king in their eyes.

Ekoda, 2nd grade class B.

Kaito Kuroba rested his chin on one hand, idly twirling his pen, his gaze occasionally glancing towards the other end of the classroom—where Aoko Nakamori and Akako Koizumi were huddled together, chatting and laughing as they flipped through a fashion magazine.
