After breakfast, everyone bid farewell to the hospitable Feng family.
It's unclear what secret agreement Ran and Aoko reached in the room, but the gloom and unease on the chuunibyou girl's face vanished, replaced by an exceptionally relaxed and happy expression. Her eyes sparkled, and she no longer avoided Yuusuke's gaze, instead displaying a hint of cunning.
Yuzuru, curious, tried to lean closer to ask, but Aoko grinned and winked at him, then put her finger to her lips in a "shh" gesture: "It's a secret between girls! I won't tell you~ Hehehe~"
After saying that, she playfully stuck out her tongue.
Xiao Lan then invited, "Qingzi, if you're free this weekend, why don't you come to our villa? Hongye and the others usually come over on weekends too, it's very lively."
"Really? That's great! I'll definitely go!" Aoko happily agreed, then secretly glanced at Yuzuru.
Xiaolan looked at her boyfriend's helpless yet secretly pleased expression, as if to say, "Oh dear, I've accidentally attracted another admirer." She glared at him again, muttering under her breath, "Always finding 'girlfriends' for me... Being the best, most magnanimous girlfriend in the world is truly difficult..."
Yuzuru could only play dumb, flashing an innocent yet handsome smile in an attempt to get away with it.
As they parted, Officer Nakamori Ginzo was chatting and laughing with Kogoro Mouri not far away, completely unaware of his little white cabbage's situation.
Taking advantage of her father's inattention, Aoko suddenly mustered her courage, stood on tiptoe, and quickly kissed Yuzuru on the corner of his mouth. Then, like a startled rabbit, she jumped away, blushing, and exclaimed, "Yuzuru-kun...see you this weekend..."
After the kiss, she subconsciously licked her lips.
It's so sweet! Like the finest honey!
This morning was no illusion!
For Aoko, who had unexpectedly discovered the "ultimate dessert" and seemed to have obtained a "tasting license," she almost couldn't control herself and pounced on it for a couple more bites. Fortunately, her remaining rationality held her back.
Yuzuru touched the spot where he had been kissed, watching the girl's slender and lively back and Inspector Nakamori's thick-skinned manner, completely oblivious and still laughing heartily, a meaningful smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
This weekend looks like it's going to be very, very interesting.
...
.........
The next two days passed by very leisurely.
Yuzuru resumed his regular school life, spending his days with Ran, Sonoko, and occasionally Momiji, who would stay overnight at the villa on weekends, going to and from school together, enjoying the daily life filled with the fragrance of young girls.
Now there's one more person secretly chatting on their phone during class.
Besides Kazuha, a long-distance "girlfriend" in Osaka whom I maintain my relationship with through Line, I also have another friend on my contact list, Nakamori Aoko, who is very close to me and sends me messages from time to time.
[Aoko: Yuzuru, math class is so boring... (accompanied by a crying emoji)]
[Nan: How about the weekend?]
[Aoko: !!! (Instantly sends a cat emoji with sparkling eyes)]
[Aoko: I'm going to Yuzuru's house this weekend! Ran said the villa is huge and has a hot spring! I can't wait!]
[Nan: Yeah, I saved you a special 'dessert'.]
On the other end of the phone, Aoko, in her classroom at Ekoda High School, saw the message and her cheeks instantly turned bright red. She buried her face in her arms, letting out suppressed, silly giggles. Her toes curled shyly inside her shoes, and she felt like her whole body was bubbling with pink bubbles.
Another good student has been led astray by someone and is now running wild down the path of depravity.
Sitting next to her, her deskmate Koizumi Akako glanced sideways at Aoko's lovesick expression as she grinned foolishly at her phone, a knowing and amused glint in her red eyes.
She thoughtfully twirled her red hair with her fingertips, but didn't ask any questions. Instead, when the teacher's gaze swept over, she casually flicked a small pebble, knocking over the pencil case of a student in the back row, successfully attracting the teacher's attention and covering for Qingzi.
"Snap!"
A crisp sound successfully drew all of the teacher's attention.
"Kaito Kuroba! It's you again! Still making noises in your sleep! Get out here and stand in the corner!"
Kaito, the innocent scapegoat: "???"
The witch, keeping her efforts hidden, continued elegantly reading her magic book. "Well, I just suddenly wanted to practice my precision slingshot; I wasn't covering for that philandering cat."
Hongzi's feelings were still a bit complicated.
That Yuzuru Nanami, he really is a troublemaker!
It's only been a few days?
He completely captivated Aoko, and Kaito's image seemed to have been completely erased from her mind.
Now that the two meet at school, Kaito habitually tries to greet her in that annoying, self-proclaimed cool way, but Aoko just glances at him indifferently, her eyes calm and unwavering, as if she were looking at an ordinary, not-so-familiar classmate, and even a little...disdainful.
Then he walked away and went to chat with other girls.
There was no anger, no complaints, and not even the usual frustration and hidden concern.
Complete indifference and letting go.
This change left Kaito with a strange emptiness in his heart, a feeling of blockage, extreme discomfort, and general unease.
He would rather Aoko still yell at him, hit him, and call him "idiot Kaito" like before; that would feel better than their current state of complete estrangement.
A woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea!
He didn't know what had happened, but he had a keen sense that his mother and Aoko were keeping some kind of secret from him, and this feeling of being excluded was terrible.
