Kaito moved incredibly fast.
Sometimes you can't blame reporters for saying the police are incompetent. The main problem is that every time the police deploy a large number of officers, they are full of confidence beforehand, but afterwards they always manage to let Kaito Kid escape, which is full of flaws.
The museum's restrooms were eerily quiet.
After confirming that no one was around, Kaito finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, looking at his mother's affectionate gaze in the photo, Kaito suddenly felt a tickle in his head, as if he had overlooked something important.
But he quickly put this strange feeling out of his mind—as long as he handed these photos to Koizumi Akako, he could get clues about the Pandora Gem and get one step closer to figuring out the truth about his father's death!
Thinking about this, his eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation.
"Perfect~"
Kaito put away his phone and was about to leave when suddenly—
"Click"
The door to the next cubicle suddenly opened without warning.
"Kaito Kid, the game is over."
Conan pushed up his reflective glasses and slowly walked out of the cubicle. Beside him was Heiji Hattori, who stood with his arms crossed. The two of them, one on the left and one on the right, were like two gatekeepers, blocking Kaito's escape route.
Kaito's pupils contracted slightly, but he quickly regained his composure: "Oh, two famous detectives, what a coincidence! What, even going to the bathroom together?"
"The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind."
Heiji Hattori grinned, revealing a set of bright white teeth that contrasted sharply with his skin tone; he could easily be a spokesperson for Darlie toothpaste.
“We knew you’d slip away from here.” Conan pushed up his glasses, the lenses flashing with tracking signals. “The tracker has been attached to you from the moment you started posing as a staff member.”
Kaito subconsciously touched his back and, sure enough, felt a tiny device inside his collar. He was secretly annoyed; he had been so focused on escaping that he hadn't noticed someone had tampered with it. He had been careless.
"Now, surrender."
Conan held up his tranquilizer watch. "You can't escape."
Heiji Hattori silently held up the toilet plunger and made a kendo starting gesture.
Seeing this, Kaito looked around—the only exit was blocked by two detectives, and the window was too high to climb out of. The situation seemed bad, but what kind of storms hadn't Kaito Kid weathered?
They're just two detectives, not some overpowered genius like Yuzuru Hanyu...
"Two renowned detectives, do you really think you can catch me like this?" Kaito suddenly gave an elegant bow, a smoke bomb appearing between his fingers without his knowledge. "Phantom Thief Kid never—"
"Clap clap clap".
A crisp clapping sound came from the bathroom entrance, the door was pushed open, interrupting Kaito's performance.
The three of them turned around, completely bewildered. Another expert?
A tea-haired loli was slowly walking into the bathroom, playing with a strangely shaped silver flashlight in her hand. Her icy blue eyes swept over the three people, and a dangerous smile appeared on her lips.
"The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind..." Ai repeated Hattori's words in a cool voice, but with an added sense of inexplicable oppression. "And what about the hunter waiting with a gun?"
Conan and Heiji Hattori looked like they'd seen a ghost, their faces turning deathly pale.
"Haibara?!" Conan's voice changed.
Heiji Hattori even took two steps back, nearly bumping into the sink: "Hey, Kudo, this isn't part of the plan!"
Kaito looked at the two of them with curiosity and asked in confusion, "Why are you two so flustered? She's just a little girl."
He had met Ai a few times and only knew that she was always by Hanyu Nan's side, but he had never known how terrifying this seemingly harmless little girl was until Ran intervened and he was completely unaware of how badly she was beaten up.
Let me introduce myself.
Ai walked slowly forward, the shrinking light spinning on her fingertip. "I have an experimental project going on recently—can a mouse really beat a cat?"
