Su Xuening glanced at Xuan Yuanzhan, whom Ye Yun was supporting. Seeing that he had his eyes closed and could barely stand, she thought he was injured and immediately asked anxiously, "What's wrong, Your Highness?"
Ye Yun was a little embarrassed to explain.
Mu Lingchen chuckled dryly, "I invited Xuan Yuanzhan for drinks today, and he accidentally drank too much. Please don't mind, cousin."
As Mu Lingchen spoke, he and Ye Yun helped Xuan Yuanzhan into the house.
Su Xuening looked at Xuan Yuanzhan, who was quite drunk, and felt embarrassed to tell him that he wouldn't sleep in the room, since the main house had always belonged to someone else. After a moment of silence, she let them in.
Mu Lingchen and Ye Yun helped Xuan Yuanzhan to bed. Mu Lingchen even took off Xuan Yuanzhan's boots and then looked at Su Xuening and said, "He drank too much, so I'll have to trouble you to take good care of him, cousin."
What could Su Xuening say? She could only nod.
"Then I'll head back now." Mu Lingchen nodded to Su Xuening and left, giving Ye Yun a wink before he left.
Ye Yun was quick-witted: "Um, I'll go get you a bowl of hangover soup."
After Ye Yun finished speaking, he slipped away, not forgetting to close the door for the two of them after he left.
Su Xuening stood by the bed in a daze for a while before she seemed to come to her senses. She glanced at Xuan Yuanzhan, who was drunk and unconscious on the bed, and then turned around to fetch some hot water.
Su Xuening wrung out a cloth and wiped Xuan Yuanzhan's face. She stared at Xuan Yuanzhan's handsome features, feeling a little guilty.
I didn't hear him practicing his swordplay that night, so I thought he had gone to bed early. I didn't expect he had gone out drinking.
Is it because of her?
Su Xuening felt as if her heart was being squeezed tightly; even breathing was incredibly painful.
Not daring to look at his face again, Su Xuening got up to leave, but was suddenly grabbed by the hand.
Su Xuening looked up, only to find that Xuan Yuanzhan had already opened his eyes.
Su Xuening was startled. Just as she was about to speak, she felt a tight grip on her wrist and fell onto the bed.
