In an instant, Mo Qi broke out in a cold sweat, but he dared not show it on his face.
"What are these?" Zhong asked, somewhat disappointed. Clearly, what Cai Mama and the others had found was not what she had expected.
Su Feiling, however, immediately noticed something amiss, staring at the medicine bottles and saying, "These medicine bottles don't seem to be yours, do they?"
Mo Qi replied without hesitation, "Indeed, these are not my medicines. These are all for the young master. I was just preparing them for him."
As he spoke, as if afraid they wouldn't believe him, he added, "Young Master drinks a lot of alcohol and is prone to injury, so this servant has prepared extra hangover remedies and wound medicine."
Su Feiling glanced at him and instructed Zishu, "Go and fetch the imperial physician."
"Yes," Zi Shu replied, and then went to call the royal physician.
Seeing that they were going to call the imperial physician, Moqi's heart jumped into her throat.
Oh no, I wonder if the physician will discover the packet of poison the young lady gave me.
Mo Qi racked his brains, already thinking of an explanation for being caught.
The physician arrived shortly afterward.
"Lord Marquis, Madam, Second Miss." The royal physician, unaware of what had happened, entered and bowed to Su Renyi and the others.
Su Feiling gestured with her chin at him: "Check what kind of medicine this is?"
The physician hesitated for a moment before replying, "Yes."
The physician examined each of the medicine bottles that Granny Cai had found.
Mo Qi dared not show too much concern, nor dared to be too indifferent. She tried her best to remain calm and watch, but when the physician examined the medicine packet, cold sweat broke out uncontrollably on Mo Qi's body.
The physician, in particular, spent the longest time examining that medicine packet, which frightened Mo Qi so much that her legs went weak and she almost couldn't stand up.
Fortunately, Su Feiling, growing impatient, asked, "How is it? Have you found out?"
The physician rewrapped the medicine packet and bowed to Su Feiling, saying, "This old servant has checked them all. Most of them are wound medicine and hangover medicine."
Su Renyi and Zhong Shi raised their eyebrows; Mo Qi had indeed not lied.
Su Feiling, however, focused her attention on the medicine packet that the physician had examined for a long time: "What kind of medicine is that?"
"This..." Su Feiling's question really stumped the imperial physician. He had examined it for a long time but still couldn't figure out what kind of medicine it was.
Seeing the physician's embarrassed expression, Su Feiling's suspicion deepened. She was about to ask something else when Mo Qi suddenly knelt down: "This is...this is the young master's...aphrodisiac."
Mo Qi, as if he had nothing to lose, gritted his teeth and spoke.
Mo Qi's words immediately caused everyone present to feel extremely awkward, especially Su Renyi.
Only Su Feiling, with a clear mind, looked at the imperial physician and asked, "Is he right?"
Without a second thought, the physician nodded: "Yes, that's the kind of medicine."
No wonder he couldn't detect it earlier; this medicine must be very potent.
Upon hearing the physician's reply, Moqi silently breathed a sigh of relief.
He guessed right; what the young lady said was true. These people really couldn't detect the poison.
Su Feiling was still somewhat suspicious, and looked at Granny Cai again: "Where did you find these medicines?"
Granny Cai bowed and said, "It's in the medicine chest. This old servant just thought these medicine bottles were luxurious, so I brought all the medicine here."
If she had known it was the young master's medicine, she wouldn't have brought it.
"Alright, you may leave." Seeing that there was nothing suspicious, Su Renyi dismissed the physician.
"Yes." The physician bowed and withdrew.
Madam Zhong was still somewhat suspicious and looked at Granny Cai, asking, "Besides these medicines, did you find anything else?"
Granny Cai shook her head: "There are none else."
The lady originally wanted her to search Moqi to see if he had been bribed, but there was nothing valuable or silver in Moqi's room, except for a few medicine bottles that looked rather luxurious.
Mo Qi finally seemed to know what they were doing and asked curiously, "What is Madam looking for?"
Upon hearing this, Madam Zhong no longer concealed her intentions and asked sternly, "Did you harm Yuan'er?"
Mo Qi was shocked and stared wide-eyed in disbelief. He said anxiously, "How could it be this servant who harmed the young master? This servant saved the young master's life! This servant is the young master's close attendant. The young master has been so good to this servant. How could this servant do such a disloyal thing!"
Mo Qi then raised his hand in a wronged manner and swore, "Heaven is my witness, I am loyal to the young master and have no other intentions. If I have harmed the young master, may I be struck by lightning and die a horrible death!"
As Mo Qi swore, he frantically chanted in his mind that the oath was invalid.
Su Renyi and Zhong Shi were taken aback by Mo Qi's loyal and devoted appearance.
Mo Qi seized the opportunity and immediately kowtowed to Su Renyi and Madam Zhong, saying, "This servant failed to protect the young master this time and knows that I am guilty. This servant wishes to accompany the young master to exile. I beg the Marquis and Madam for permission!"
He was reluctant to use the young lady's method, but now it seems that this is indeed his only way out.
Mo Qi's sudden request completely dispelled Su Renyi and Zhong's suspicions about him.
He was even willing to accompany her during her exile, which shows his loyalty to Yuan'er.
Su Renyi sighed silently and agreed, "It's rare for you to be so thoughtful, so I'll grant your request. You can go with the young master tomorrow."
"Thank you, Lord Marquis." Mo Qi kowtowed to Su Renyi again, while also feeling sorrow for his future.

Mo Qi was willing to accompany Su Lin to exile, and Zhong Shi's attitude towards him changed instantly: "Young Master has injured his leg, you must take good care of him on the way."
