The cave was pitch black.
The dark figure seemed to know the way well, descending deep underground, where a glimmer of light suddenly appeared.
Before them stood an ancient and unique palace.
This was once the Heavenly Demon Palace.
The dark figure passed through the passageways and reached the depths of the palace, where it suddenly stopped and knelt down.
"How's the matter going?"
A faint, ethereal voice echoed through the palace, like a ghost, impossible to find.
"Reporting to Master, human cultivators, demonic sects, and demon races have all dispatched their strongest warriors into the Heavenly Demon Secret Realm. They are currently engaged in fierce battles, vying for the Heavenly Demon Stones, and are likely gradually approaching the Heavenly Demon Palace!"
The shadowy figure dared not utter a sound; even its voice trembled slightly.
He knew how terrible his master was.
"Hmph! I told you to spread the method of absorbing and cultivating the Heavenly Demon Stone, but you only passed it on to the Demonic Sect, didn't you?" The ethereal voice carried a hint of anger.
"I acted on my own initiative and deserve to die. But I don't understand why this cultivation method was passed on to the human cultivators?"
"Don't ask any more questions. Just do what I tell you to do. If you think you're right again, you'll know the consequences!"
"Yes! Thank you for sparing my life, Master!"
"You know what to do? Get out!"
The shadowy figure dared not utter a sound, immediately turned and left, following the passage it had come from, not daring to take a wrong step, and only after leaving the underground palace did it breathe a long sigh of relief.
Until he left.
Inside the underground Heavenly Demon Palace.
The ethereal voice sneered and muttered to itself, "The Demonic Sect? If you were all such useless trash, why would I, the Palace Master, resort to such a desperate measure? Hoping that a genius will emerge from the human race? I hope this time, I can have my wish fulfilled!"
