Chapter 143 One against four, one move to kill!

Lu Chen had never even heard of this big tree, let alone seen it.

"This world is indeed extraordinary! It cannot be judged by common sense."

Lu Chen suddenly felt an extremely terrifying aura lock onto him. He turned around abruptly and saw a dark figure rushing towards him.

This is a little crocodile demon.

"As expected, these kinds of treasures are always guarded."

Lu Chen moved and instantly disappeared from the spot.

The dark figure missed its target and looked around in shock. Suddenly, it raised its head and looked up at the sky.

A terrifying blade of light descended directly from the sky.

The blade struck its head squarely.

The little crocodile demon quickly gathered all its power, transforming it into a sturdy light shield above its head.

Suddenly, a loud bang was heard.

Lu Chen's blade slashed fiercely at the light shield.

The light shield shattered instantly, but the strike continued unabated, slicing off half of the little crocodile demon's head.

The little fish demon collapsed to the ground, looking utterly unwilling.

Lu Chen was immediately astonished.

"So weak?"

When Lu Chen encountered the little crocodile demon before, he had to use at least 60% of his power to defeat it.

But this little crocodile demon was killed with a single strike.

"What a pity."

Lu Chen stared at the little crocodile demon and suddenly realized something was wrong.

Normally, after a monster dies, it will revert to its original form and can no longer maintain its half-human, half-demon transformation. However, this little crocodile demon in front of me did not change at all.

This further confirmed Lu Chen's suspicions.

The creatures that live in this world are not ordinary monsters.

Moreover, they are far more intelligent than the monsters that come in from outside, and are even skilled in various martial arts techniques.

Lu Chen put away the little crocodile demon's corpse, and at this moment, the aura of many demonic beasts wafted from the vicinity.

The demonic beasts from Black Dragon City, not far from here, sensed the fluctuations of the battle and rushed over.

But Lu Chen ignored the monsters and walked straight toward the strange tree!

Just then, Xiaobai's voice rang in Lu Chen's mind.

“Master, I remember now, this should be a Crimson Flame Ancient Tree.”

"The Crimson Flame Ancient Tree?"

Lu Chen was surprised.

I'd never heard of this name before.

But Xiaobai's memories come from the Palace Master of the Heavenly Demon Palace, so they are naturally accurate.

"This Crimson Flame Ancient Tree is an extremely precious treasure with great uses. Master, quickly cut down its trunk and take the whole thing with you."

"Why not dig it up completely?" Lu Chen suddenly thought, "Perhaps we can transplant this Crimson Flame Ancient Tree."

"The Crimson Flame Ancient Tree can only grow in specific environments; it cannot survive under normal circumstances."

Xiao Bai offered an explanation.

There's nothing that can be done.

Without further hesitation, Lu Chen rushed forward and casually slashed at the trunk of the Crimson Flame Ancient Tree. However, the top-grade spiritual weapon, the Blood Demon Blade, only left a shallow mark on the tree, without even breaking the bark.

This scene shocked Lu Chen.

"What a sturdy tree trunk."

Lu Chen refused to believe it. His blade glowed with a blood-red light, and he concentrated all his power into it, slashing at the tree trunk once more. With a deafening roar, the bark exploded, revealing a heartwood the color of magma.

However, the tree still stands tall, radiating intense heat, like a giant tree of fire.

At this moment, the surrounding demonic beasts rushed over and were shocked to see Lu Chen chopping down a tree.

"Quick, grab it! This must be a treasure."

These elite monsters from Black Dragon City were naturally unwilling to be left behind and rushed forward to seize the prize.

Lu Chen's expression turned cold, and he suddenly turned around to face the eight enormous demonic beasts present.

The way these demonic beasts looked at Lu Chen was no longer as friendly as before.

After entering this underground dragon blood, most of the monsters acted alone, but some had a good relationship with each other and therefore acted together.

When encountering other companions, if there are no rare treasures, they will naturally live in peace. However, once their own interests are involved, or if treasures appear, they will definitely fight for them.

In this underground world, everything depends on individual strength; the most valuable resources are obtained by the most capable.

There were eight demonic beasts in front of them, two of which were demon kings, and the rest were ordinary great demons. However, all of these demonic beasts were extremely large in size.

Even the smallest one looked much taller and more imposing than Lu Chen.

"It seems you intend to kill and steal the treasure."

Lu Chen, however, laughed instead.

After entering the underground dragon's lair, he did not make any deliberate moves. These demonic beasts actually thought he was easy to deal with, but they did not know that he was a human and that the demon race was inherently mortal enemies.

"Of course! If you know what's good for you, get out of here right now and you might save your life. Otherwise, you'll die here."

One of the demon kings looked at Lu Chen with great indifference; its true form was an incredibly large tiger.

Lu Chen couldn't immediately identify the specific species, since the demon king had a tiger's head and hadn't yet revealed its true form.

Of course, Lu Chen was too lazy to bother to identify it.

To him, all demon kings were the same.

"Really? Then why don't you guys go for it?"

Holding the Blood Demon Blade, Lu Chen calmly looked at the eight demonic beasts in front of him, showing no fear whatsoever.
