Bai Shaojie secretly blamed himself for not thinking of this point. When training in the Black Dragon Mountains, one must be careful in every aspect.
There are some things that should absolutely not be done.
Bai Shaojie knew this, but Lu Chen and the other newcomers, who were visiting for the first time, did not.
"Hurry, hurry, hurry!"
Bai Shaojie rushed back quickly and returned in no time. Sure enough, he saw Lu Chen and the others grilling meat, and the aroma of meat wafted over from afar.
The meat looked like it was almost done roasting, and Lu Chen and the others looked quite excited, seemingly proud of their actions, which left him speechless.
However, his two senior uncles, Jianyu and Jianxue, stood to the side and did not seem to offer any advice.
"Oh no!"
Bai Shaojie's lips tasted bitter, but he forced himself to step forward and said, "Uncle-Master Jian Chen, quickly put out the fire! It's too dangerous!"
Just now, while Bai Shaojie and the others were killing wild boar demon beasts, Lu Chen was not idle either. He actually discovered several rather large black sheep demon beasts searching for and eating spiritual herbs.
Then, Lu Chen had a sudden urge to eat roasted lamb skewers, so he easily slaughtered a sheep, lit a fire, and started roasting the whole lamb.
At this moment, the black mutton exudes an extremely rich aroma, making one's mouth water.
Seeing Bai Shaojie's extremely nervous expression, Lu Chen remained calm and said, "You're back. Don't worry, it'll be ready soon. I'll share half with you later!"
"Uncle-Master!"
Bai Shaojie grew anxious and said, "The wind is strong in Black Wind Valley. Once those demonic beasts smell this fragrance, they will definitely swarm here, and then it will be dangerous!"
"It's alright, this is the effect we wanted. How long would it take us to find them all by ourselves? Wouldn't it be more satisfying to lure all these monsters here and wipe them out in one go?"
Lu Chen remained unconvinced.
"ah?"
Bai Shaojie and the others turned pale with fright upon hearing this.
Luring all the demonic beasts over to wipe them all out at once? That's a ridiculous idea!
Although the strongest beasts in Black Wind Valley are only level four, one level four beast is enough for them to handle. If they all rush in, along with a large group of level two or three beasts, it will trigger a beast tide.
The monster tide is extremely terrifying.
Without the intervention of their two senior uncles of the Sword generation, these people would undoubtedly perish against this horde of demonic beasts.
As for this Uncle Jian Chen, Bai Shaojie didn't know how strong he really was, but he figured he was no match for the two uncles. How could he be so arrogant?
"But……"
Bai Shaojie looked at Lu Chen and wanted to persuade him, but then gave up.
Seeing that neither of his two senior uncles, Jianyu and Jianxue, had said anything, he knew that there was no point in saying anything more.
"Alright! We can eat now!"
Lu Chen then broke up the whole roasted lamb and gave some to each person.
"It's really good!"
Lu Chen was very satisfied. He had thought the black sheep meat was a bit tough, but to his surprise, it turned out quite good after roasting.
Lu Chen didn't prepare anything for this training trip. He just asked the kitchen of Wanjian Manor for a lot of seasonings, just so that he could have a bite of fresh roasted meat after arriving at the Black Dragon Mountain Range.
"A delicacy! I never imagined that the meat of a demon beast could be so delicious. It's rich in spiritual energy, tender yet chewy!"
This black sheep is really good. Lu Chen regretted it. He had only slaughtered one sheep and let the rest escape.
Once we leave this place, we might not be able to eat it again.
Bai Shaojie ate cautiously, constantly glancing around nervously.
The meat I ate tasted bland.
But to my surprise, what I feared finally happened.
Suddenly, faint lights appeared all around, and a fierce aura was gradually approaching.
Bai Shaojie and the others immediately put away the roasted mutton in their hands, looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
"It's a Black Wind Wolf!"
"More than thirty of them, everyone be careful!"
Bai Shaojie immediately reminded everyone, then drew his sword and held it in front of them.
The same was true of the other nine people he brought with him.
That's it?
Lu Chen remained calm, though somewhat disappointed. He had expected to attract some powerful monsters, but all he got were a few dozen wolves.
"This wolf meat, it doesn't taste good, does it?"
Lu Chen turned his head and glanced at Jian Xue.
"How would I know?" Jian Xue glared at her. She hadn't eaten the roasted black goat meat, let alone the meat of the black wind wolf, so she was quite annoyed by Lu Chen's gaze.
After finishing the roasted meat, Lu Chen took out a pot of wine, took a sip, and said, "Alright, stop standing around, let's finish this quickly and take down these Black Wind Wolves. There might be a big feast later!"
Yiyi and Chan'er never questioned Lu Chen's orders and immediately rushed forward with their swords.
Bai Shaojie and his group also took immediate action.
These Black Wind Wolves were merely level-two demonic beasts, and in less than a moment, they were all wiped out; not a single one escaped.
These black wind wolves are much weaker than iron-skinned wild boars; they are utterly vulnerable.
The battle had just ended when suddenly, the earth shook violently.
Everyone was stunned.
"What happened?"
Bai Shaojie's expression changed drastically, and he immediately soared into the sky, looking in the direction from which the tremor came.
"It's a one-horned bull!"
"No, it's a herd of one-horned bulls!"
Bai Shaojie cried out in surprise.
Suddenly, he looked up at the sky, his face turning deathly pale.
"My God, there's a two-headed vulture!"
