Zhiyi quickly agreed. He and Juanmao didn't waste any time and immediately packed a bundle. They put dozens of coins and a few steamed buns in it and were ready to go.
As soon as the two men reached the door, they saw a dozen people walking towards the dilapidated temple.
Zhiyi quickly stepped back.
"Grandpa Ke. Someone's coming."
Old Ke held Erbao in his arms, followed closely by Dabao and Zeng Wuming. The four of them hid in the cellar.
The kitten crawled over very quickly. It has been learning to crawl with Erbao these past two days. It feels more stable and faster than walking. The kitten likes crawling.
The kitten crawled under the statue of the Earth God and lay there picking its toenails.
The door was slammed open with a bang.
A few men with vicious looks came in and rummaged around, frightening the timid beggar children in the dilapidated temple so much that they started crying.
"Gentlemen. This is a beggar's den. You won't find anything here." The black-faced man stepped forward and blocked the way in front of a big man. He stared at Xiao Taohua with a fierce look.
The big man snorted coldly, and his nose hairs twitched. "How do you know what we're looking for?"
"I don't know. I just said that you can see everything in the dilapidated temple at a glance. There is nothing valuable." Black Face explained anxiously.
The big man reached out and pushed the black-faced man down.
He grabbed Xiao Taohua and smiled greedily. "Little girl, how about going with me to eat delicious food and drink spicy drinks?"
Xiao Taohua clenched her trembling back teeth to calm herself down. "Not good."
Zhiyi knew he was in trouble now, having encountered an LSP. Several other big men were questioning some younger beggars.
One of them grabbed Little Gigi's arm and lifted him up. "I heard you have outsiders coming in and out here, right?"
Little Gigi opened his eyes wide and nodded. "Yes. Yesterday, some people from the town came to steal our steamed buns, but we chased them away."
Then little Jiji asked the big man, "Uncle, you are so awesome. You know all this. Can you please not let them steal my buns?"
Seeing the pure eyes, the big man lowered his eyelids and suppressed his doubts. "Is anyone staying here tonight?"
"We all live here." Little Gigi pointed at the people in the dilapidated temple.
The big man was speechless when he saw the question.
He put little Gigi down, but then threatened her again, "If you lie, I'll cut off your tongue."
Little Gigi covered her mouth and nodded, "I'm not lying."
Little Taohua over there has started crying loudly.
The other big men looked at Xiao Taohua crying breathlessly, their faces turning pale with fear. They said unhappily, "It's already this late, and you still have this thought in your mind?"
The man stared at Xiao Taohua thoughtfully and made an uncouth gesture at her.
Zhiyi quietly walked over and put some medicine on him. "Uncle, my sister is not sensible, please don't bother with her." Zhiyi's flattering look made the black-faced people confused.
The big man laughed.
"Kid, you better know what's best for you. I'll come back tomorrow."
A few people didn't stay any longer and left in a hurry.
Curly Hair was filled with anger and yelled at Zhiyi. "What are you doing? When is it your turn to speak here?"
"Do you think he will let Xiao Taohua go?"
"Let Xiao Taohua leave here first."
Zhiyi showed the powder on his palm with a mocking look on his face. "Don't worry. He can't come."
Curly knew Zhiyi was a capable man, but he had never expected him to resort to such tactics. Holding his nose, he walked over to Zhiyi and apologized.
Curly and Zhiyi ran out quickly.
They had to find Ying Yi and others as soon as possible and have them take the people in the ruined temple away in batches.
Su Qi didn't receive any news from Mr. Ke until noon.
It was impossible for her to not be anxious.
Ying Er and others were outside looking for news, but they didn't hear any news about Mr. Ke and the others.
I did find out a lot about Yunzhou City.
Ying Er spent an hour telling Su Qi and Gu Beiheng the story of Yunzhou City that they had heard.

Gu Beiheng and Su Qi walked in and sat down at the gatehouse.
The doorman called a servant to serve tea, and he ran in to report.

A man in a smoky blue brocade robe came over quickly and laughed out loud when he saw Gu Beiheng. "General Gu, is it really you? I thought the servant was just talking nonsense."
He stepped forward and shook Gu Beiheng's hand tightly, his words becoming a little incoherent with excitement.
Gu Beiheng smiled softly and said, "Don't call me General Gu. I'm no longer a general. Just call me Brother Gu as before."
Ye Mingjie's face darkened and he snorted coldly:

"Leave this small matter to me. Brother Gu and sister-in-law, please come with me in for a cup of tea." As Ye Mingjie spoke, he turned around and ordered the long-time attendant following him to call over the broker who had someone in Yunzhou City.
The attendant responded and left.
Gu Beiheng and Su Qi knew they had to stay for tea, so they followed Ye Mingjie into the front yard.
