Su Qi and Gu Beiheng had just stepped off the carriage when a dignified figure came floating over like a whirlwind. It was hard to imagine him, looking so cheerful, swearing profusely.

"I am Wang Ting's mother from the vanguard team." The old woman lowered her head.
Su Qi felt something was fishy going on, and after asking around, she learned that the medicine in the kitchen was made for the former prefect's concubine's daughter. Wang Ting's mother, upon seeing someone making fun of him and the orphan girl, felt murderous.
She thought that a concubine's daughter from a poor prefectural government family was not worthy of her son.

The sound here startled the shadows in the trees.
Shadow raised his eyelids and landed next to Su Qi, revealing a dagger in his hand.
"Shadow, don't move." Su Qi glanced at Shadow and stopped him. She sniffed the water and took out a silver needle to stir it.
The silver needle had no reaction and there was no smell in the water.
Mrs. Wang was very arrogant. She didn't know who was in front of her. She just thought it was the family of a general like her son. She wondered why she didn't live in such a courtyard and had to let the young and rich live there.
He was already angry, and now he yelled, "I told you that you are wronging me."
