Chapter 80 Apology

She straightened her clothes and tried to look presentable, but the resentment on her face was still clearly visible.

After the curtain inside the tent was lowered, the atmosphere became more solemn, as if the air was condensed by the tense atmosphere.

Madam Wei sat down, her face expressionless as she spoke directly, "Nifeng, you must apologize to Su Huaiyue for this matter."

Although it was a request, there was no room for negotiation.

The second sister-in-law looked up to retort, but met the old lady's sharp eyes, she immediately lowered her head, her words becoming weak and soft. "Yes, I was wrong. I shouldn't have acted on my own initiative."

Su Huaiyue smiled coldly. Did he have to accept her apology? That didn't make sense.

"I can't hear you~"

Mrs. Wei endured the humiliation and apologized loudly again: "I'm sorry, it's my fault."

Su Huaiyue crossed his arms over his chest and scratched his ears, his movements showing a hint of impatience.

"I can't hear you!"

Mrs. Wei's chest heaved violently with anger, and she screamed at the top of her lungs, "I'm sorry! I was wrong!"

Now not only the people in the tent heard it, but also the people a mile outside the tent heard it.

Afterwards, Su Huaiyue feigned surprise, looking at Wei Ersao with a questioning look in her eyes: "Are you apologizing, Second Sister-in-law? Why do I feel like you're not sincere? How about I find a man and put him in Second Sister-in-law's room, and then I'll bring people to catch the adulterer, and then we'll be even, how about that?"

When these words were spoken, not only Wei Ersao but everyone else was choked and speechless.

Wei Ersao stared at Su Huaiyue blankly, the fear in her eyes magnified infinitely. She was clearly smiling, but in Wei Ersao's eyes, she was scarier than a ghost.

Now everyone could see that Su Huaiyue was playing a trick on Wei Ersao.

The atmosphere in the tent was as tense as a pulled rope.

Although Wei Ersao had already apologized, the reluctance on her face did not diminish at all.

She looked around and found that no one spoke for her, so she could only sit there helplessly.

Su Huaiyue looked at this scene and understood.

She knew that if she accepted the apology easily, such things would probably happen again and again in the future.

So, she put away her playful expression and said bluntly, "I don't accept your apology. If everyone is like this, doing something wrong and just saying an apology will get away with it. Then what about the rule of law?"

When Wei Ersao heard this, her expression instantly turned awkward, and her tone became sharp: "Su Huaiyue, don't be so shameless!"

The air in the tent seemed to freeze, and even the slightest breathing sound became clearly audible.

Su Huaiyue remained unmoved. She just smiled and said coldly, "A woman's reputation is very important, and you actually conspired with outsiders to kill me. This is not something that can be solved with a simple apology."

Madam Wei frowned, trying to ease the confrontation.

She slowed down her tone and said tentatively, "Huaiyue, we are all family after all, harmony is the most important thing."

“Not everyone is worthy of being considered family.”

Su Huaiyue replied calmly. She still maintained her position and ignored the resentful look of Wei Ersao.

The old lady paused, knowing that it was not appropriate to say anything more at this time, so she turned to look at Wei Ersao, and said in a more serious tone: "Second sister-in-law, you are not allowed to have any contact with Wang Laosan in the future. If you do it again, don't blame me for being rude."

Although Wei Ersao was extremely reluctant, she could only agree due to the majesty of the old lady: "I understand."

She spoke bluntly, but the reluctance and stubbornness in her tone did not escape the eyes and ears of those present.

Wei Che stood behind Su Huaiyue and watched all this silently.

He felt disgusted by what Wei Ersao had done, but also felt a little admiration for Su Huaiyue's firm stance.

At this time, the officials finally arrived, and their hurried footsteps attracted the attention of people in the tent.

The leader, Lord Li, looked around and said in a serious tone, "Everyone, set off immediately. We must reach the next stop before dark, otherwise there will be no water and food!"

The people in the tent were in an uproar and began to pack their things nervously.

Seeing this, Su Huaiyue also started to get busy.

She was about to pack up her things when she felt a firm gaze behind her.

Turning around, she saw that it was Wei Zhi who had been following her silently.

That look of concern and worry made her smile involuntarily.

"Don't worry, mother. I will protect you from now on."

Wei Zhi said softly, but his eyes were full of determination.

"Well, with you here, mother is naturally not afraid."

Su Huaiyue responded, looked at him gently, and then continued with what she was doing.

Wei Ersao stood aside, looking a little at a loss.

She glanced at Su Huaiyue who was packing her luggage. Although her anger had subsided a little, she still couldn't hide her inner resentment.

At this time, Madam Wei walked up to her and gently reminded her: "Nifeng, no matter what you think in your heart, the matter at hand is the most important."

"Yes, Grandma."

She reluctantly agreed, suppressing her unhappiness.

In fact, she was still afraid of the majesty in the old lady's words.

On the other side, the timid fourth sister-in-law was in a panic, not knowing what to pack first. The third sister-in-law came over to help and advised: "Take your time, don't be anxious, it's not too late to find things if they are lost."

Time passed quickly, and everyone finally packed up their things, stood in groups of three or four, and started to walk out one after another.

Su Huaiyue felt Wei Yunrou approaching cautiously and said carefully, "Sister-in-law, I knew you were wronged!"
