Chapter 68 The Plague Virus Spreads on the Supreme Being (2/2)

Lin Peirou was so frightened by Wang San's sudden collapse and death that her legs went weak.

She collapsed to the ground, her voice trembling: "How...how did he die? Was he poisoned?" Her mind was filled with thoughts of "murder to cover it up," and she was terrified that she would be the next to die. She didn't even dare to lift her head.

Shen Qingtang squatted down and stared at Wang San's corpse. Suddenly, she saw his mouth twitch, and a black worm the size of a fingernail crawled out of his mouth. It stopped moving as soon as it landed.

Shen Qingtang's pupils contracted.

This is a commonly used "Heart-Eating Gu". It usually hides inside the human body, and can be remotely activated to poison the host if it is necessary to eliminate the host.

The death was gruesome, and no trace could be found.

“It seems the person behind this is afraid he’ll say too much.” Shen Qingtang stood up.

His eyes turned cold as he picked up the still trembling Lin Peirou. "Let's go back to the villa."

When they returned to the villa, Lu Jiaojiao, her mother, and Officer Li were being isolated in a dilapidated house.

The symptoms of the plague were getting worse, with constant coughing and screams. Pei's father, Pei Yurou, Madam Qin, Madam Qin, and Old Madam Pei stood at a distance, looking at the dilapidated house with disgust, afraid of being infected.

Upon learning that the plague was "intentionally" caused by Shen Qingtang, Madam Pei immediately put on a kind and benevolent expression.

Holding Zhao, the head constable, she sighed, "Head Constable Zhao, how could Qing Tang be so heartless? It's all a human life. Even if there was a grudge, you can't use the plague to harm people. Her heart is too wicked..."

His words were all implying that Zhao, the head constable, should "deal with" Shen Qingtang.

Madam Qin chimed in, "Exactly! What she's doing is no different from murder! If the plague spreads, none of us will survive! We need to keep a close eye on her!"

Madam Qin and Pei Yurou nodded repeatedly.

Their eyes were full of schadenfreude; they had long disliked Shen Qingtang and were eager for her to be punished by the officials.

Pei's father frowned. Although he did not directly criticize her, he said to Shen Qingtang, "Shen Qingtang, you did not do this properly. You should apologize to them and then take out the antidote."

Looking at the faces of this group of people, Shen Qingtang sneered: "They set me on fire, used the fog to harm me, and even tried to kill Nian'an. Now they are just reaping what they sowed. They want an apology? They want an antidote? Unless they pay the price for what they did first."

Before Pei's father could continue lecturing, Shen Qingtang rolled her eyes and sneered, "Are you all dreaming?"

She shook the bottle containing the plague virus in her hand, her gaze falling on Pei's father. Seeing his arrogant and condescending attitude, Shen Qingtang did not hesitate to sprinkle the virus on him.

Within half a quarter of an hour, Pei's father began to cough violently, his face turned ashen, and red rashes, characteristic of the plague, appeared on his body.

He collapsed to the ground, unable to even stand.

The other members of the Pei family retreated in fright, and Madam Qin screamed, "Shen Qingtang! You're insane! How dare you lay a hand on him!"

"What's there to be afraid of?" Shen Qingtang approached step by step.

He sprinkled the virus on Old Madam Pei, Madam Qin, Madam Qin, and Pei Yurou in turn, saying, "Didn't you think I was vicious? Didn't you want the officials to deal with me? Now you'll taste the plague and see who comes to save you!"

The entire Pei family was infected with the plague, writhing on the ground in pain and cursing angrily.

But Shen Qingtang threw her directly into the dilapidated house where Lu Jiaojiao had been isolated, and locked the door with a "click".

The officials were terrified, and no one dared to step forward to stop them.

Shen Qingtang turned to look at them, her tone icy: "Anyone who dares to open the door to save them, don't blame me if I spread the virus to someone and they die."

The officials immediately fell silent and retreated, not daring to even glance at the dilapidated house.

Inside the dilapidated house, Old Madam Pei peered through the crack in the door, crying out to Pei Wuwang outside, "Wuwang! I am your own grandmother! I watched you grow up! How could you stand by and watch Shen Qingtang treat us like this? How could your heart be so cruel! Tell her to let us out!"
