Ignoring their shock, Shen Qingtang fired several more shots, wounding several of the men in black who were charging ahead. The power of the gun far exceeded the men's expectations; they were so frightened that they retreated repeatedly, no longer daring to advance.

Shen Qingtang looked at Pei Wuwang with lingering fear, her back already covered in a layer of cold sweat.
If Pei Wuwang hadn't reacted quickly, she probably would have already been entangled by the Gu worms.
She frowned, her eyes filled with despair and confusion: "Who is it? Why are they doing this to me? Who have I offended?"
Her voice was filled with shock.
From being exiled to encountering Wei Yao's Gu worms, and now being hunted down by men in black who are actually puppets controlled by the Gu worms, this series of events has unfolded.
This made her suspect that a huge conspiracy was targeting her.
“I don’t know who it is, but I will definitely find out.” Pei Wuwang looked at her pale face and held her hand tightly with heartache. “Don’t worry, I’m here. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
Shen Qingtang nodded, but her unease did not lessen at all.
She looked at the empty ground; the men in black had vanished without a trace, as if they had never existed.
This unknown fear is more frightening than a direct enemy.
The scene shifts to a magnificent, exotic palace where a woman in elaborate attire sits on a high platform.
Her face carried an air of aloof indifference.
Upon hearing her subordinates report that the assassination attempt had failed, she slammed the teacup in her hand to the ground, shattering it into pieces.
"Useless! All of you are useless!" The woman's voice was icy cold. "So many people, and you couldn't even kill one woman! You even let her discover the secret of the Gu worms!"
The maids around her were trembling with fear and dared not utter a sound.
