Chapter 250 Finally Free

Chapter 250 Finally Free

They ran for most of the day until night fell. The horse was very tired, so Lu Bin stopped to rest.

"Miss, how are you?"

Lu Yanhan rubbed his sore arm and replied, "I'm fine. Are you cold? You've been in the wind and snow."

Lu Bin also shook his head. The warmth in his heart could resist any coldness.

Lu Yanhan lifted the curtain wider and said to Lu Bin, "Go and tie up the carriage, then come inside to warm up."

Lu Bin saw a forest on the side of the road. There was no light around. He thought there must be no houses or people walking around.

So he led the carriage into the woods, tied up the horses, locked the wheels, and then climbed into the carriage.

Lu Yanhan touched his face with heartache. His face was so cold that it was completely bloodless. She wrapped him with the quilt she used in the carriage.

Lu Bin quickly pushed it away: "I'm not cold, you wrap yourself up. It gets even colder at night, don't catch a cold."

Then Lu Bin took out a bag of food from the box under the car seat. When he opened it, he found that the biscuits were so frozen that they could kill a dog and were impossible to bite.

Lu Bin thought for a moment and said to Lu Yanhan, "I think we should build a fire. I'll also bring some cooking utensils and boil some hot water for you."

Lu Yanhan nodded and said, "Warm yourself up for a while before going."

The two of them sat together for a while, and then Lu Bin got out of the car to pick up some firewood and lit a fire.

He had prepared this carriage a long time ago, and filled it with food and some cooking utensils, thinking that they would be useful during the escape.

He made a fire outside to boil water, and Lu Yan finally had time to look at the things in the car.

She found that the space under the seat was empty, with quilts and clothes on one side and food and other items on the other side. She took out all the quilts.

The temperature is very low on this snowy night, and using all these quilts should be enough to get through it.

There was an empty space in the middle of the three seats. Lu Yanhan spread the quilt on it. It was just enough for two people to lie down, and it should still be warm.

Lu Bin boiled some hot water in a small pot, and Lu Yanhan took the pancakes out and soaked them in the hot water until they were soft. Then they started eating.

The more Lu Bin ate, the sadder he felt.

He put down the bowl, held Lu Yanhan's face and said, "Miss, I'm sorry. I made you live like this. I'm really sorry."

Lu Yan smiled and shook his head.

"Once we're in the city, I'll get a better carriage and take you to eat some delicious food. From now on, we'll choose a city you like to live in."

Lu Yan smiled and replied, "What's the point of eating well? What's the point of living well? I think it's good now! No one can force me to do things I don't want to do, and I don't have to marry someone I don't like for anyone else."

She threw herself into Lu Bin's arms and said solemnly, "I finally have a day of freedom."

The two of them ate these tasteless hot water cakes with snow, and they tasted like delicious delicacies.

The two happily discussed their future.

"You like warm places, so let's go south to Yuanwu, okay?" Lu Bin asked.

"Okay, I haven't been out of Tianyao yet, so I don't know how far Yuanwu is."

"It's quite far. Let's go to a small town. I'll find a job as a constable and I can support you."

Lu Yanhan knew that Lu Bin had always wanted to be a constable. If he didn't have to stay at home to take care of her, he would have left Cheng'an Marquis Mansion to become a constable.

"Great! The constable's uniform looks great!" Lu Yanhan smiled and said, "Once we get to the city, I'll exchange the things I have for silver. I should be able to buy a small house."

Lu Yanhan knew that Lu Bin had no money.

He also received a monthly salary in the Marquis' Mansion, but most of his salary was spent on Lu Yanhan, buying her the food she wanted to eat, her favorite rouge and powder, and other items, so there should be very little left now.

"Miss, keep all your things. I have enough money for us to buy a small house." Lu Bin replied.

He was not afraid at all. He was young and capable of supporting her. He would never let her suffer.

The future will be happy and joyful.

After finishing their meal, the two went back to the car to rest, hugging each other tightly in the quilt, which was more comfortable than any high bed with soft pillows.

Lu Bin kissed Lu Yanhan wantonly.

The two had never been so presumptuous before.

In the past, I always bit this pleasure in my mouth and swallowed it in my throat, but this time I can release it completely.

"Miss..." Lu Bin murmured.

Lu Yanhan turned over and lay on top of him, whispering in his ear: "Don't call me Miss from now on, call me by my name."

"Okay, Yanhan."

The hot breath overflowed from the car.

Suddenly, Lu Yanhan on Lu Bin stopped moving and let out a low growl of pain.

A drop of warm liquid dripped onto Lu Bin's face.

Lu Bin widened his eyes in surprise and looked at Lu Yanhan. More blood flowed from her body onto Lu Bin's body. A long arrow pierced her entire body.

Lu Yanhan knew that she would not survive, so she touched Lu Bin's face with trembling hands.

But her face was full of smiles, as if she was relieved.

Lu Bin let out a painful roar, and then another arrow pierced through the wooden board of the carriage and pierced into Lu Yanhan's body.

Lu Yanhan used up the last bit of her strength and pressed him tightly into the carriage.

She could no longer make a loud sound, and uttered the last words in a hoarse and low voice: "You. Must. Live. For. Me."

Her hands loosened and her head dropped, but her body remained upright.

This time, it was her turn to protect Lu Bin.

Lu Bin roared in pain and anger from his chest.

He laid Lu Yanhan on her side, pulled out the arrow from her body, and then held her tightly in his arms.

"I shouldn't have done that! I shouldn't have done that! I'm just marrying someone else, at least I can still live! I can at least watch you from afar! I should be the one to die!"

"You let me live. How can I live without you?"

Lu Bin only held Lu Yanhan tightly in his arms and could no longer hear the whistling sound of arrows beside his ears.

Finally, an arrow pierced his body.

"I can't live for you, Yanhan, I can't do it. I want to go and accompany you."

After all the arrows were shot, the man in black came forward.

Unexpectedly, so many people were mobilized for Lu Bin.

I think he knew that his martial arts skills were quite good, so he was determined to kill them here.

The leader went forward to check and confirmed that both of them were dead.

"Is it burned?" asked the person below.

"No, the master has ordered that people must know."

The man removed the stone that was blocking the wheel, untied the horse from the tree, and whipped the horse's butt.

The carriage carrying the two bodies sped past.

The group of men in black walked in the opposite direction, as they had other tasks.
