Chapter 24 Are you trying to kill me by stirring up trouble?

Chapter 24 Are you trying to kill me by stirring up trouble?

Gu Keke had already stepped halfway into the dormitory building. Seeing that Liang Jun hadn't followed, she tilted her body and looked in this direction.

"Liang Jun?"

Liang Xun gave the other person a look, then nodded at Luo Chuange.

"Don't worry, there are no rules in the dormitory that could be fatal to players yet. As long as Coco and I don't break them, there won't be any problems."

“Di Qing…”

Liang Xun remained silent for a while, then said, "She probably won't do anything out of line to us."

Luo Chuange's expression was uncertain. "Anyway, just be careful."

After saying that, he turned around and caught up with Song Ming, and the two walked into the boys' dormitory building one after the other.

Liang Jun also walked in the direction of Gu Keke.

What were you just talking about?

While climbing the stairs, Gu Keke asked Liang Xuan a question out of curiosity.

After thinking about it, Liang Jun decided not to tell her for the time being.

Liang Jun worried that Gu Keke might not be able to control her attitude towards Di Qing if she formed a prejudice against someone without solid evidence.

She smiled and shook her head. "It's nothing, let's go back to the dorm."

The key unlocked the golden lock, and Gu Keke and Liang Jun pushed the door open and entered, only to run into Di Qing, who was about to leave the dormitory.

Di Qing held a plastic cup in her hand. She glanced at the person who came in and spoke in a nonchalant tone.

"I'm going to wash up."

Before the two could even make way for Di Qing, he had already bypassed them and walked out of the dormitory.

"What exactly is she pulling at?"

Gu Keke snorted and sat down at her desk. "So young, yet so temperamental!"

Liang Jun sat opposite her and whispered a reminder: "Pay attention to the rules."

Maintaining good relationships with roommates —

Even though Gu Keke was unwilling, she could only force a forced expression on her face.

It looked like a forced smile.

“She’s still young, and she’s going through puberty,” Gu Keke took a deep breath, trying to justify herself, “So what if she’s a little arrogant…”

Gu Keke was about to turn around when she suddenly remembered something and asked Liang Xun again.

"Should we ask her about Jin Suo when she gets back?"

"Jin Suo?"

Liang Jun's gaze shifted to the door latch. "What do you want to ask her? Why did she only explain one of the two red marks?"

Gu Keke nodded, her voice still somewhat urgent, "She shouldn't have kept anything from us."

"Don't ask, it's best not to ask." Liang Jun said seriously.

She recalled Luo Chuange's warning, "It's enough that we know something's fishy about this; we shouldn't alert them unnecessarily."

No sooner had he finished speaking than there was a knock on the dormitory door.

Liang Jun gestured for Gu Keke to be quiet before going to open the door.

Di Qing, holding the water-stained cup, returned to the dormitory.

She didn't look up to acknowledge the two people in front of her, but instead busied herself with something at her desk.

“Di Qing,” Liang Xuan spoke first, “where did you get your cup from? Coco and I also want to go wash up.”

Di Qing turned around at the sound. Her gaze quickly swept over Liang Xun, then settled on the wardrobe beside her.

“I took them from the cabinet,” Di Qing said lightly. “Everyone has one.”

Without saying another word, she grabbed her lamp and climbed into bed.

Liang Jun opened the wardrobe and, sure enough, found some basic toiletries in their respective compartments.

The two carried their own washbasins, and Gu Keke also took an extra key with her, and they left the dormitory one after the other.

There was no electronic clock in the dormitory building, so the group could only tell that it was not yet lights out by the dim lights still on in the corridor.

The only good thing about dormitory 544 is its proximity to the public restrooms—they're right outside the door.

As soon as Liang Jun stepped out, she noticed the sliding partition door at the end of the corridor.

The sliding door has a frosted finish, making it impossible to see where it leads.

Liang Jun wasn't really interested in doing any research, so she turned around and walked into the public restroom with Gu Keke.

The facilities are no different from those in a regular student dormitory.

A mirror covered the entire wall, below which were evenly spaced iron faucets. A long sink still held traces of water, its end marked by a black hole for drainage.

To be on the safe side, the two of them didn't go inside, but instead chose the first two spots near the entrance.

In such an environment, washing itself is unnecessary—but if the sticky sweat and dried blood on the body are not cleaned, it will further wear down the player's mentality.

Keeping oneself clean and tidy might be a sign of a glimmer of hope for survival.

Liang Jun turned on the tap, and the excessive water pressure caused cold water to splash out directly.

Listening to the rushing water, she found a rare sense of peace.

She wet and wrung out the towel provided in the dormitory, then wiped it on her face.

The cold touch brought her back to her senses instantly. Liang Xun stared straight at the mirror in front of her, but couldn't see her own face clearly.

The mirror looked as if it were covered in dirt, blurry from top to bottom.

Looking in the mirror, Liang Jun could only make out the outline of her own figure.

The dormitory corridor lights flickered, appearing even dimmer than before.

"Hurry up, we need to go back right away."

Liang Xun urged Gu Keke beside her, and the two of them quickened their wiping movements.

After rinsing their mouths in the cups they borrowed, they hurriedly returned to their dormitory under the dim light.

There are no lights inside the dormitory. If you want to illuminate the space under the cover of night, the only light source is the desk lamp in your hand.

After confirming that the dormitory door was completely closed, Liang Jun and Gu Keke took their desk lamps and climbed onto their beds.

A desk lamp can only illuminate a very limited area.

Liang Jun sat cross-legged on the bed, holding it in her hands, as if she had been abandoned on a deserted island, surrounded by an abyss that could swallow her up at any moment.

She kept looking towards the dormitory entrance—

One concern was the potential danger outside the door.

Secondly, she discovered that light was leaking through the cracks in the door at the bottom of the dormitory.

Even though the corridor lights are dim, they still serve a very noticeable purpose in a completely dark environment.

Liang Jun stared quietly at the light shining through the crack in the door, but after a short while, the light source suddenly disappeared.

It's eleven o'clock.

Liang Jun whispered, "It's already the lights-out time mentioned in the rules, let's turn off all the desk lamps."

Hearing her say that, everyone was too afraid to even breathe. Even Di Qing obediently turned off the lamp in her hand and slipped smoothly into her bed.

I can finally get a good night's sleep.

Liang Xuan placed the lamp next to her pillow and then covered herself with the blanket.

In such a quiet environment, the approaching footsteps sounded particularly abrupt.

Liang Jun stopped grabbing the blanket. She propped herself up on her side and listened for footsteps outside the door.

Gu Keke and Di Qing also noticed it, as the increasingly heavy breathing of the group was particularly noticeable.

They walked slowly and leisurely, stopping unhurriedly in front of dormitory number 544.

"Knock knock knock".

It was the sound of knocking on the dormitory door.

"Dormitory supervisor, room check!"

It was the familiar loud voice of the dormitory supervisor.

[Hidden rule triggered.]

5. Dormitory lights out at 11 PM. Before this time, dormitory supervisors will conduct room checks; your cooperation is appreciated. After lights out, please ignore any noise and do not open the door.

The actual dormitory supervisor will finish all room checks before lights out.

Now, who can tell what kind of monster is standing outside the door?

Liang Jun and Gu Keke both received the rule reminder at the same time, and the two of them held their breath as much as possible, not daring to make a sound.

Meanwhile, another person was making movements on the bed.

In the darkness, Liang Xun noticed that Di Qing seemed to be searching for something.

Di Qing touched the lamp beside his pillow, then lifted the covers, showing signs of getting out of bed.

"What are you doing?!"

Liang Xun hurriedly tried to stop him, but although her voice was faint, the monster outside the door heard it clearly.

Is anyone in the dorm?

The dormitory supervisor's knocking became more urgent. "Open the door quickly! It's a routine room check!"

Di Qing pointed to the lamp switch, showing no intention of lowering her voice.

"I……"

In the nick of time, Gu Keke grabbed the blanket covering her head, hunched over, and scrambled to Di Qing's bed.

She moved with great agility, and before Di Qing could react, she snatched the lamp from her hand and neatly threw it onto her own bed.

"you……"

Di Qing was a little angry. She pointed at Gu Keke and was about to yell at her when the other woman covered her mouth and nose and used the momentum to fall onto the bed.

She struggled incessantly, muttering to herself without stopping.

Gu Keke pressed her entire body against her, and with her other hand decisively grabbed Di Qing's blanket, wrapping both of them tightly inside.

Di Qing was temporarily suppressed by Gu Keke, while Liang Jun focused intently on observing the situation outside the door.

The dormitory supervisor continued knocking, but after waiting for more than thirty seconds and seeing that no one came down to open the door for her, the dormitory supervisor snorted and stopped knocking.

Footsteps then sounded, heading further away from dormitory 544.

The crisis has been temporarily averted.

To ensure everything went smoothly, Liang Jun waited an extra minute. After confirming there was no movement outside the door, she spoke towards the dark quilt.

"Alright, the dorm supervisor is gone."

Gu Keke then threw off the blanket and sat down on Di Qing's bed, panting heavily.

"I'm so bored!"

"Are you crazy, Gu Keke?!"

As expected, the first thing Di Qing said after regaining his freedom of speech was to fire at Gu Keke.

She searched around the pillow in the dark for a long time but couldn't find what she was looking for, so she reached out to Gu Keke in an unfriendly tone.

"Where's my desk lamp?!"

Gu Keke wasn't in a good mood to talk to her.

Since no one could see, Gu Keke rolled her eyes in the shadows, then scrambled back to her bed and tossed Di Qing's lamp back over.

"for you."

The moment Di Qing received the lamp, he hurriedly pressed the switch.

The lamplight flickered, seemingly a sign of low battery. Di Qing appeared to have not rested well; the dark circles under his eyes were more pronounced, making him look dull and unwell.

She flew into a rage, looking like a blue-faced demon in the dim light.

"Gu Keke! Why are you covering my mouth?! Are you trying to kill me?!"

Di Qing became more and more agitated as he spoke, his whole body trembling. "You and Liang Xun, are you in cahoots?!"

With a knife to her neck, Gu Keke felt helpless. "Heaven has eyes... I saved your life, and now it's my fault?"

Di Qing's eyes reddened with anger. He was about to continue his rebuttal when he was interrupted by Liang Jun on the opposite bed.

Liang Xun calmly asked, "Di Qing, have you received the rules?"
