Chapter 8 Going with the tide Congratulations

Chapter 8 Going with the tide Congratulations

"I said zero points, and that means zero points—"

Lina suddenly lost her temper, and her voice was no longer as gentle as before.

Because she was staring intently at the group of blond-haired men, several of the bolder players looked up and cautiously observed the current situation.

The same applies to Liang Jun and Gu Keke.

The two of them huddled together, noticing that Lina's expression was beginning to contort.

Her red lips parted wider and wider towards her ears, as eerie as a clown's mouth. Her jet-black pupils also began to dilate gradually until there was no trace of white left in her eyes.

Lina's body also began to swell, like a giant corpse.

Those few blond-haired thugs clearly wanted to run away.

Before they could react, Lina grabbed the exam papers with her bulging hands and slapped them in the face.

Once the darkness enveloped everything, the tension skyrocketed.

The group of blond-haired men tried to peel the exam paper off their faces, but the paper seemed to be integrated with their skin, remaining unmoved no matter how hard they tried to tear it off.

The blond-haired man stood there, dizzy and shoving, sobbing unintelligible as to what he was pleading for.

Lina chuckled at them and reached out her hands toward their trembling bodies.

"Students who get zero marks will be punished..."

As she spoke, she exerted force with both hands.

All the players heard the sound of flesh/body breaking open.

It was just torn to shreds like that?!

Internal organs fell off, and blood splattered everywhere.

After Lina dealt with the troublemakers, she looked up and scanned the entire class.

Upon seeing this, the remaining players immediately lowered their heads again.

Even if I had ten more lives, I wouldn't dare look Lina in the eye again.

Liang Xun lowered her head; something was rolling toward her in the distance.

She lay half-lying down, her eyes looking towards the corridor.

It was the brains of one of the petty thugs.

The areas that were originally facial features have been replaced by exam papers pasted on.

Liang Jun's eyesight was fairly good; she could see that there were almost no traces of her answers on the exam paper.

Just as everyone held their breath and dared not breathe too loudly, Lina returned to her normal form once again.

But now that she is so alluring, no one dares to covet her anymore.

"Students, have you all finished your tests?"

Unlike the first time when there was only a perfunctory response, this time, all the players in the audience actively responded to Lina.

"It's done!"

"very good."

Seeing how cooperative the players were, Lina's satisfaction grew even stronger.

"Everyone, please hand your test papers to the student on the outermost side. I'll go collect the test papers."

Upon hearing Lina's words, the sound of papers being passed around filled the classroom.

After handing the test paper to Liang Xuan, Gu Keke slumped onto the table, not lifting her head again.

Liang Jun also kept her head down.

She subtly sensed the distance of the footsteps until she saw the silhouette of a pair of red-soled high heels above her.

Liang Jun didn't say much, and handed over the two test papers with both hands.

Lina had all the students' test papers in her hands. She walked up to the podium and, like a real teacher, arranged the test papers neatly on the desk.

"Alright students, that concludes our self-study session. Now, I will grade your answers."

Upon hearing the words "Study is over," some players in the class tentatively raised their heads.

After discovering that there was no penalty for making eye contact normally, all the players breathed a sigh of relief and prepared for the next part of the process.

Lina graded the papers very quickly—she was a monster, so you couldn't compare her to human standards.

Lina simply glanced through all the players' exam papers and arranged them in descending order of their scores.

"Next, I will call your names in descending order of scores. Students whose names are called, please go to the podium to retrieve your test paper."

Lina smiled warmly, "I also hope that everyone can take this opportunity to get to know each other better."

She laid the exam papers flat on the podium and picked up the first one.

“Di Qing,” Lina said.

The girl sitting diagonally in front of Liang Jun stood up and walked calmly toward the podium.

Lina's eyes were full of admiration as she watched her walk towards her.

When Lina handed the test paper to Di Qing, she gave her a special hug.

"Congratulations, you're number one in our class."

After Di Qing sat down, Lina continued, "Liang Yan."

Liang Jun stood up and walked towards the podium under the watchful eyes of everyone.

The delicate floral scent that had been there was now completely masked by the stench of blood.

The scent was even stronger, especially when Lina hugged him.

"Congratulations, you're second in our class."

Liang Jun's next victim was Gu Keke, who received the same treatment as the previous two.

The first thing Gu Keke did after sitting down was to mutter a disdainful complaint to Liang Jun.

"She smells terrible..."

The fourth place went to a boy named Luo Chuange.

Liang Jun noticed that Lina used the same rewarding words for the boy in the plaid shirt, but no longer gave him a hug.

The admiration in her eyes was gradually fading.

Players whose names were called relaxed for a moment, while those whose names weren't called trembled with fear.

Soon, we arrived at the last exam paper—

"Congratulations, you are ranked forty-sixth in our class."

A flicker of disgust crossed Lina's eyes, but it was quickly masked by a formulaic smile.

She clapped her hands at everyone, and the classroom fell silent.

"Students, today is our first day of school. After class, please go to the dormitory building to assign your rooms."

Lina picked up the teaching materials from the podium again, tilted her head, and smiled slightly at everyone.

"I wish you all a happy learning experience at Wilson College."

After saying that, she walked out of the classroom.

After the sound of her high heels completely disappeared, one or two players tried to rush out of the classroom, but were stopped by several kind players.

"Have you forgotten the rules? How do you determine when get out of class is over?"

The players who had charged into battle were now dejected and returned to their seats, heads hanging low.

Liang Jun's mind was racing.

She and Gu Keke huddled together, exchanging information they already knew about each other.

Do you remember what time the clock in the classroom looked like when we were in class?

Hearing Liang Xun's question, Gu Keke was a little confused, "The clock shows 10:50, but doesn't the rule say the time is wrong?"

“That’s wrong, that’s right.” Liang Xun nodded in agreement. “It’s just that time may be faster or slower, but the cycle of a clock doesn’t change, does it?”

“You mean…” Gu Keke suddenly had a clue.

Liang Jun explained, "During class, the counselor said that this class would last for an hour and a half, which means..."

"12:20." Gu Keke calculated the result instantly. "The official end time of get out of class should be 12:20."

The two of them looked up in unison at the clock in the center of the classroom.

The pointer wobbled, but still moved in a regular pattern.

"12:18." Gu Keke squinted. "It's about right, either 18 or 17."

After a moment of contemplation, Liang Jun said, "We can extend the time by another ten minutes from the original time."

"It's obvious that this school treats students like learning machines." Liang Jun analyzed her point of view step by step, clarifying her thoughts along the way. "As a student who loves learning, the more you learn, the better. You absolutely cannot leave early..."

"So we'd rather stay in the classroom a little longer than leave a few minutes earlier..."

Following her train of thought, Gu Keke continued.

As if some keyword had been triggered, the system's mechanical voice suddenly popped out.

[Hidden rule triggered.]

4. The school clock is not properly adjusted; students should determine the end time of class themselves. Students should love learning and should not leave early without a valid reason.

Liang Jun and Gu Keke were both stunned for a moment.

They looked at each other with a hint of shock in their eyes. Without needing to talk or discuss it, they knew that the other had also received the notification of the hidden rules.

They glanced around at each other, and found that everyone was still having a lively discussion, without anything unusual happening.

"Then let's do as we say."

Gu Keke nodded to Liang Xuan.

The players in the classroom remained seated in their places.

A few impatient students stood up and paced around their desks, but still dared not step out of the classroom.

Does anyone know what time get out of class ends?

Some players had little patience and couldn't stand it anymore, so they shouted at the other players.

Everyone paused their actions for a few seconds, their faces flashing with various emotions, but no one chose to pay attention to the helpless player.

When a person's feelings of helplessness accumulate to their peak, they will completely collapse and disintegrate.

12:20.

In a corner where no one paid attention, the player rushed out of the classroom in one breath, and then vanished the moment his feet stepped out of the door.

Nobody noticed.

12:30.

The noise in the classroom grew louder and louder, and more and more people began to get restless.

Gu Keke gestured to Liang Xun, "Shall we go?"

Liang Jun shook her head. "Wait one more minute."

12:32.

Amidst the surprised gazes of the crowd, Liang Xun and Gu Keke stood up together and walked out through the back door.

Nothing unusual happened.

12:33.

After a one-minute buffer period, the remaining players went crazy and rushed toward the classroom door.

The teaching building was empty.

At first, Liang Jun and Gu Keke found it strange. But before long, players began to pour out of the entire teaching building in droves.

Feeling a premonition of a stampede, Gu Keke grabbed Liang Jun's hand and ran ahead to the open area outside the building.

“Our next step is to go to… the dormitory building.” Liang Jun calmed herself down, recalling the information Lina had provided. “Should we go back to the bulletin board to check the map? I can’t quite remember where the dormitory building is…”

“No need,” Gu Keke laughed heartily, “I’ve got it.”

She raised her hand and pointed to the building southwest of the teaching building, "That's the dormitory building."

It was a six-story building with double connecting corridors. Beyond the teaching building, one could see its weathered red bricks and tiles, a style quite different from that of a European aristocratic school.

Two middle-aged women were standing at the entrance of the dormitory building.

The middle-aged woman put her hands on her hips and shouted, "Girls, come in! Boys, stand here and line up in class order!"

Liang Jun and Gu Keke then walked to the building further inside.

Another middle-aged woman raised an eyebrow when she saw the newcomer. "Which class are you in? What's your advisor's name?"

“Lina,” Gu Keke replied.

Upon hearing the name, the woman's eyes held a hint of enigmatic jealousy.

She vented her anger on the two of them, shoving them quite forcefully.

"Stand here! Don't wander off!"

Not long after, all the girls in the class lined up behind Gu Keke.

The dormitory supervisor counted the names on the roster several times to make sure everyone was present, then forcefully pushed open the dormitory building door.

A gust of cold wind rushed towards them.

Liang Jun noticed a small plaque hanging in the upper right corner of the gate.

It is engraved with the words "B2 Dormitory Building".

The dormitory supervisor led them to the lobby on the first floor and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Line up in order of your entrance exam scores from highest to lowest!"

She pulled out a ruler from somewhere and hit the wall with it.

"Hurry up!"

The crowd moved quickly, and the girl named Di Qing was at the front of the line.

She turned around and greeted the two puzzled people politely, "Hello, my name is Di Qing."

"If it's possible, can I live in the same dormitory as you?"
