Grave Digging
Ye Jingan and Song Yiyu hid behind the grave next door and waited until everyone else left. Song Yiyu ran to the grave and shouted, "He Shu! Can you hear me? I'm here to save you!"
"Stop shouting, she can't hear you." Ye Jing'an lowered his voice.
"Hurry up and dig!" Song Yiyu was about to start when he found that the shovel had been taken away by the four people. "There is no shovel!"
"Hey, I have one." Ye Jing'an pulled out a folding engineer shovel from his bag. "Old Qiu, he has a lot of these when he goes out in the wild. They're all portable and very useful!"
"Anything else?" Song Yiyu asked.
"No more. I didn't expect to dig, so I brought a spare." Ye Jingan said.
"Then I'll dig with my hands." Song Yiyu rolled up his sleeves and dug up a handful of wet soil.
"Why use your hands? There's an iron basin in front." Ye Jing'an said.
The two men dug the soil silently. Fortunately, the soil was newly filled and not compacted, so it was easy to dig. After a while, they saw the corner of the coffin.
Song Yiyu dug so hard that his neck started to itch. He didn't care that his hands were dirty and just scratched the back of his neck. After a while, someone pulled his hair. Song Yiyu said in an irritated tone, "Ye Jingan! Are you done yet?! It's almost time, can you please stop joking?"
"What did I do? Are you sick?!" Ye Jing'an ignored him and continued digging.
"Hiss!" Song Yiyu was touched on the face. He was completely angry and threw the iron basin to the ground. "Are you done? If you like to be touched, go touch your boyfriend. Why are you touching me?!"
"Are you crazy? Let me touch..." Ye Jing'an looked up and saw a carbon-black thing lying on Song Yiyu's shoulder.
"What are you looking at?" Ye Jingan stopped him just as he was about to turn around. "What's wrong?"
Ye Jing'an touched his waist and remembered that he had gone out at night to avoid arousing suspicion, so he did not bring the Ye'an Sword. He took out a fire talisman from his pocket and threw it at the thing on Song Yiyu's shoulder.
A sharp scream passed by his ears, getting farther and farther away. Song Yiyu turned around and saw a black object flying out, waving its arms to put out the fire on its body. Song Yiyu said, "It's the monster I met!"
Ye Jingan threw the shovel to him: "You go dig, I'll deal with it."
A black little man crawled out from the bushes in the distance, with smoke still coming out of his body. Ye Jingan shone the flashlight over there and saw that the little man had four arms, two of which were very deformed. The injured skin was as black as charcoal, and there were several cracks that oozed black blood.
"Was this the same black thing you saw last time?" Ye Jing'an asked.
"Yes." Song Yiyu nodded.
"What is this thing? It looks like a black bear." Looking at the little monster shouting over there, Ye Jing'an took out two talismans from his pocket, ready to take action at any time.
The little monster yelled for a while and rushed towards them. Ye Jingan's thrown talisman missed, and seeing that the little monster was about to fly in front of him, he kicked it.
"Can you get away? Come and help me open the coffin lid." Song Yiyu shouted.
Seeing the little monster kicked into a tree branch and then stopped moving, Ye Jing'an ran over to help open the coffin. Inside, the woman in red lay quietly on the coffin board. Song Yiyu lifted the veil and saw Ren Heshu's pale and haggard face. Song Yiyu gently touched her face and called out, "Don't be afraid, I'm here. I'm sorry for making you suffer, but we're leaving now."
Song Yiyu and Ye Jingan carried the person out, and the little monster rushed over again. Just as Ye Jingan was about to hit it with a shovel, it was knocked away by a talisman. A dark figure ran over on the way here, and Ye Jingan smiled and said, "Brother Liu, you're here!"
"Why isn't it healed yet?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"A black bear monster has come to cause trouble." Ye Jing'an used a flashlight to indicate the location of the little monster.
"Black Bear?" Liu Muze walked over. The monster was injured by him and was lying in the grass struggling in pain. "This is not a Black Bear, it's a dead child."
"Why is it so black?" Ye Jing'an asked.
"He was burned to death." Liu Muzhe picked up the dead child. "The evil spirit in the village is all due to him."
"Whose child died?" Ye Jing'an asked.
"I don't know. Its resentment has dissipated. It should have taken its revenge. Let's keep it for now." Liu Muzhe put it in a small bottle. "Let's go."
They returned to the car. The Taoist priest was tied to the back seat. Seeing them struggling desperately, Ye Jing'an pressed the cloth stuffed in his mouth tighter and said, "Stop shouting. We'll have plenty of time to talk when we get back."
Ye Jing'an stepped on the accelerator and quickly retreated. Song Yiyu held Ren Heshu in his arms. No matter how he called her, she refused to respond. Seeing that they were already far away from the village, Song Yiyu took the cloth from the Taoist's mouth and asked, "Why is she ignoring me? What tricks did you use? Untie her quickly!"
"What do you want to do?! You are kidnapping! I will sue you!" the Taoist shouted.
"Sue us?" Ye Jingan sneered, "Then call the police."
"Let me go! Otherwise I will release ghosts to haunt you!" said the Taoist priest.
"Hey, yo, yo, just let it go. I want to see how the ghost will haunt me." Ye Jing'an said with a smile.
"You..." The Taoist priest snorted coldly. Now he was tied up tightly and there was nothing he could do to them.
"Tell me quickly! What did you do to her?" Song Yiyu shouted.
Seeing that the Taoist priest closed his eyes and refused to speak, Song Yiyu got angry and punched him in the face. After a few punches, the Taoist priest begged for mercy: "I'll tell you! She's been controlled."
"Nonsense, how do I release the control?" Song Yiyu asked.
"I don't know." said the Taoist priest.
"Are you going to tell me or not?!" Song Yiyu raised his fist to hit him again.
"No, no! I really don't know!" cried the Taoist priest.
"I advise you to tell me everything you know." Liu Muzhe said coldly.
"I really don't know. I'm just a charlatan who cheats people out of their money," said the Taoist priest.
Ye Jingan clenched his fists and smiled, "What are you talking about? We know you're a charlatan. Tell us something we don't know."
Liu Muze took the child out of the bottle and questioned the Taoist priest: "What's the matter with this child?"
"Ah?" The Taoist priest stepped back in panic, trembling, "I... I don't know, I don't know anything!"
"Don't want to tell?" Liu Muzhe sneered and let go of his hand. The child crawled towards the Taoist priest.
"I say! I say! Take it away!" the Taoist shouted.
"Go ahead." Liu Muzhe put the child into the bottle.
"It was those villagers who did it, not me! They killed the child." The Taoist saw that the dead child was easily caught by Liu Muzhe, and he knew that these people were not easy to deal with, so he didn't dare to hide it anymore.
"What happened?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"When the child was born, he had four hands and two faces. The villagers said he was a monster and asked his mother to throw him away. But the mother refused to do so and insisted on raising him. A month later, she died suddenly at home, while the child was still playing and smiling beside her. The villagers thought he had killed his mother and was a disaster who would kill more people in the future, so they burned him to death." The Taoist sighed.
"What era is this? People still kill and burn such young children to death because of these feudal superstitions!" Ye Jing'an said.
The Taoist priest continued, "Later, people in the village who were involved in this incident died one after another. The villagers said that this evil had returned for revenge. Someone in the village knew me and knew that I was in this business, so they asked me to help."
"Is your solution to this problem ghost marriage?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"Yes." The Taoist nodded.
Liu Muzhe seemed to have heard a huge joke and couldn't help laughing out loud.
Ye Jingan cursed, "Did your head get hit by a door?! Are you marrying a child after death?"
"It's been more than ten years since the incident, and he has grown up. It's not normal for him to marry a girl to calm his temper," said the Taoist priest.
"It's not because of this reason. Your ghost marriage is not in accordance with the rules. Tell me honestly, where are the people who are in my group?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"I just cheated some money!" No matter how the people asked, the Taoist priest insisted that he had no accomplices.
"Brother Liu, we're home. It doesn't matter if he refuses to talk. Qiu Zimu's precious bug can always make him talk." Ye Jing'an took the man back and kicked him to the floor in the living room. He said to Song Yiyu, "Go to the second room on the second floor. Take Ren Heshu to the room to rest first. We'll come here."
"Okay, thank you." Song Yiyu said.
Ye Jingan poured a glass of water and handed it to Liu Muze. He sat on the sofa and breathed a sigh of relief: "What's the matter? Did you say it yourself, or did we force you to say it?"
"She picked up the hundred yuan out of greed, so she has to accept it." The Taoist said with a bitter face.
"Do you have any shame? Is it written next to your money that you want to use money for a ghost marriage? If so, how about I put a hundred dollars in your pocket and sell you for a ghost marriage?" Ye Jing'an sneered.
"The person with you is a foreigner, right? Where is he now?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"What foreigners? I don't know." The Taoist priest didn't open his mouth, and his attitude made it clear that he would never tell you.
"You don't want to tell me, right? Brother Liu, use your talisman!" Ye Jing'an said.
"No, that talisman is used to deal with celestial demons. Mortals cannot withstand the strength of the talisman and can only last for a few minutes at most. Even if they use it, they can't answer a few questions. Instead, they have to sleep for half a day, which wastes more time." Liu Muzhe said.
"How many minutes?" Ye Jing'an asked, "What happens if the time is exceeded?"
"Die." Liu Muzhe said.
Ye Jingan was stunned: "Then it took at least twenty minutes for me to apply this talisman to you last time. How come you are fine?"
"How come you're okay?" Liu Muzhe got a headache when he thought of the scene. "You almost killed me!"
"You pressed me and were mean to me at that time!" Ye Jingan said.
"I'm an earth immortal, and my physique is much better than that of normal people. Besides, I had no strength left at that time, and you pinned me down and bullied me, and I slept for a whole day. What else do you want?" Liu Muzhe retorted.
"You can't use it indiscriminately, and you used it on me!" Ye Jing'an complained.
"It was you who kept me from sleeping, so I let you try. If you keep talking, I'll let you go in less than two minutes." Liu Muzhe said.
Ye Jingan: “…”
When the Taoist heard them say that the talisman was useless, he was delighted and lay down on the ground, relaxed.
"Laughing secretly? You think I can't make you speak, right?" Ye Jing'an walked to Qiu Zimu's room and pulled him out.
"What are you doing? Why are you disturbing me instead of sleeping with Brother Liu in the middle of the night?" Qiu Zimu drooped his eyelids and was pushed away by Ye Jingan impatiently.
