River Street
Ye Jingan looked at the dense crowd and shouted to Qiu Zimu: "Separately search and contact by phone."
He glanced around and joined the crowd on the street ahead. He hadn't walked far when a familiar figure appeared before him. His white clothes and long black hair were ruffled by the river breeze, and his otherworldly demeanor, against the backdrop of the night lights, made him look like a banished immortal.
Ye Jingan secretly ran over, jumped in front of Liu Muze, held up the candy man and said, "Brother Liu, here's the candy man for you."
"Huh?" Liu Muze had been lost in thought and didn't notice Ye Jing'an and the others were gone. He was startled by Ye Jing'an's sudden appearance. Coming to his senses, he looked at the candy rabbit in his hand. It was exactly the same as the one Ye Chenyi had given him that year.
In a trance, the figure in front of me overlapped with the figure in my memory.
"Amu, here's a candy man for you."
"Ye..." Liu Muzhe pursed his lips and felt a lump in his throat.
How could it be him? He just happened to buy the same one.
"Ye...Jing'an, is this for me?" Liu Muzhe forced a smile.
"Brother Liu, what happened to you just now?" Ye Jing'an saw that his face looked a little strange.
Liu Muze took the candy man and said with a smile: "It's okay, I'm just surprised that you bought this for me."
"Don't you like it?" Ye Jing'an asked.
"I like it." Liu Muzhe looked at him with a smile in his eyes.
"That's good." Ye Jing'an chuckled and called Qiu Zimu to agree on a meeting place.
"Qiu Zimu said he'd never seen you eat candy before, so he thought you wouldn't like it." Ye Jing'an laughed, "Actually, this thing is just white candy, it's not that delicious, but holding it always reminds me of my childhood."
There were many old craftsmen setting up stalls on the street selling all kinds of snacks. Ye Jingan bought them from beginning to end and fed them to Liu Muze as soon as he got the food. Liu Muze would take a bite regardless of whether it was his favorite or not.
Qiu Zimu was like a little child. When he saw the stall selling small animals made of palm leaves, he refused to leave. He squatted beside it and watched the master weaving grasshoppers, wanting to learn the skill.
"Look at the time. Haven't you seen enough?" Ye Jing'an had finished all the snacks he bought, but Qiu Zimu was still squatting there watching intently.
"Oh, I haven't watched it yet, waiting a moment!" Qiu Zimu stared intently at the movements of his master's hands.
The master craftsman who made palm weaving liked him very much and patiently taught him how to do it.
"Take your time to learn. Brother Liu and I are going to eat!" Ye Jing'an was too lazy to wait for him and just wanted to spend some time alone with Brother Liu. Seeing him carrying the candy along the way without even bothering to lick it, he asked him why he didn't eat the candy.
"It looks good, but I don't want to eat it." Liu Muzhe turned the sugar figure in his hand. When Ye Chenyi bought it for him, he was reluctant to eat it.
"Eat it. If you like it, I'll buy you more." Ye Jing'an bought it as he said and stuffed another big candied haws into his hand.
Qiu Zimu came over after learning how to weave palm leaves. To thank the master, he bought all six of his weavings. On his way over, a few tourists mistook him for someone who was buying palm leaves and wanted to buy one.
"Are you here to buy some goods?" Ye Jing'an teased Qiu Zimu, calling him a middleman. He stared at the green dragonfly for a long time and was about to reach out to grab it, "Give me one to play with."
"You said I was a middleman, give me money!" Qiu Zimu put the palm braid behind his back to prevent him from snatching it.
"No, I support the genuine product." Ye Jing'an said with a smile.
Qiu Zimu didn't bother to pay attention to him and gave Liu Muzhe a grasshopper.
At this moment, Liu Muze looked at the sugar figurines and candied haws on his left hand, and the grasshopper in his right hand that was always hanging in the air and bouncing. He said with a smile: "You really treat me like a child. I don't even know how much older I am than you."
"Who says that when you grow up, you can't be a child anymore!" Ye Jingan said as a matter of course.
Ye Jingan was particularly happy today. He was carefree and thick-skinned by nature. His joy made him even more unbridled, and he shouted to the bustling crowd, "Let me tell you one thing: my Brother Liu will always be eighteen!"
All eyes around gathered together, looking at Ye Jingan and the other two with laughter, and some were taking pictures.
Liu Muze was stunned by his shout. Holding the candy and grasshopper in his hand, he froze in place, wishing he could just disappear right there.
Qiu Zimu wasn't in a much better condition either. He stood stupidly beside Liu Muzhe, holding five brown braids.
They both knew Ye Jing'an was crazy, but they didn't expect him to act so crazy in front of so many people! After standing there for a while, they exchanged glances. They decided to cover their faces and run, run to their death, to escape from this place of trouble!
"Hey, why are you running?" Ye Jing'an chased after them with a smile.
Liu Muzhe and Qiu Zimu ran to a riverside where there were few people before stopping to catch their breath.
"Liu...Brother Liu, why is Ye Jing'an so scary?" Qiu Zimu squatted on the ground.
"Haven't you been playing with him since childhood?" Liu Muzhe didn't expect Ye Jing'an to shout like that.
"He used to like causing trouble and fighting, but he wasn't that crazy!" Qiu Zimu said with a bitter face.
"Are you talking about me?" Ye Jing'an quietly walked behind the two of them, put his hand on Qiu Zimu's shoulder, and said softly.
Qiu Zimu was so frightened by his sudden slap that he fell to the ground.
"Hahahahahaha...why are you running so fast." Ye Jingan walked in front of the two of them.
When Liu Muze and Qiu Zimu were stared at by so many people, their faces flushed. Coupled with the fact that they had just been running, their faces were now completely red.
"Damn, what's wrong with your faces?" Ye Jing'an didn't realize how much damage the incident had just caused to both of them physically and mentally.
Liu Muze: "..."
Qiu Zimu: "..."
"Are you embarrassed?" Ye Jing'an understood immediately after seeing their expressions. He laughed and said to Liu Muze, "No, they don't even know who Brother Liu is. What are you embarrassed about?"
Liu Muze: "..."
He turned to look at Qiu Zimu, "And you, I was the one calling out, talking about Brother Liu. What does this have to do with you? Why are you blushing?"
"I can't change my habit of embarrassing others." Qiu Zimu put his hands on his face, and he still hasn't gotten over the embarrassment.
"Hahahaha, I was wrong. I won't shout next time." Ye Jing'an put his arms around their shoulders and walked forward. "Someone is flying a Kongming lantern up ahead. Let's go fly one too. I heard that wishes written down will come true."
After buying the Kongming lanterns, Ye Jingan secretly hid aside to write his wish. After quickly finishing, he walked quietly behind Liu Muze and carefully poked his head out to peek at what he had written.
"What are you doing?" Liu Muzhe noticed him stealing glances and covered his eyes with his hands.
Seeing that he had been discovered, Ye Jing'an did not hide anything and asked him directly what he had written.
"What did you write?" Liu Muzhe raised the corner of his mouth.
"I won't tell you." Ye Jing'an also covered his wish like him.
"Then why should I tell you?" Liu Muzhe laughed.
This guy is so nonsensical!
Ye Jingan rolled his eyes at him and turned to look at Qiu Zimu: "You?"
Qiu Zimu hugged the Kongming lantern tightly to his chest: "I won't tell you either!"
"You can say it or not, who cares to know!" Ye Jing'an said.
The three people released the Kongming lanterns, which flew higher and higher. After they left, the people watching cheered. In the sky, two Kongming lanterns flew together, their faint flames illuminating each other's wishes.
“I hope he comes back.”
“I hope his wish comes true.”
It was already late, and people on the street gradually dispersed. Ye Jingan and the other two were also planning to go home. Liu Muze paused when he passed a stall selling osmanthus wine.
Ye Jingan caught a glimpse of his movements from the corner of his eye, smiled knowingly, walked over to the wine stall and said, "Boss, give me two jars of your best osmanthus wine."
"You can't drink, why did you buy so much?" Liu Muzhe asked.
"You like to drink it, so I bought them all for you." Ye Jing'an replied with a smile.
Liu Muzhe was stunned after hearing this.
"Why are you in a daze? Hold one jar for yourself." Ye Jing'an held the other jar and nudged him with his elbow. "Let's go home."
I had a really great time today, but once the excitement wore off, sleepiness overwhelmed me. When I got home, I had only one thought in mind: sleep!
Ye Jingan slept soundly, but for some reason he suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. Looking at the big, round moon outside the window, a strange thought popped up in his mind: Brother Liu, drinking on the balcony.
Ye Jingan shook his head, feeling baffled. Brother Liu was such a sleepy person, how could he not sleep after a tiring day? He ignored it and continued to sleep. But he couldn't fall asleep no matter how hard he tried, so he decided to go and take a look.
Arriving at the third-floor balcony, Ye Jingan saw Liu Muze sitting there drinking, and his mind instantly cleared up. He was really there!
Ye Jingan walked over and saw two cups on the table. He guessed why he was drinking here instead of sleeping, and asked, "Can I sit here?"
"Huh?" Liu Muze seemed surprised that Ye Jing'an was here. "Why aren't you sleeping?"
Ye Jingan said: "I still want to ask you?"
"Look at the moon." Liu Muzhe pointed at the moon with his wine glass.
Ye Jingan sighed, sat next to him and asked: "Can I drink this glass of wine?"
"No, you can't tell the difference between men and women when you're drunk, so you'd better not drink." The last time Ye Jingan appeared drunk in the sea, Liu Muzhe smiled faintly.
When he first met Ye Chen, the drunk mistook him for a girl. He was so angry that he even called Ye Chen a scoundrel...
"Oh, that was an accident. I didn't have any idea about drinking with others the first time, but I won't do that this time." Ye Jingan smiled awkwardly and took a small sip. It had that faint sweet-scented osmanthus fragrance that he really liked. "Hmm! It tastes good."
He took another big sip and looked at Liu Muze. The smell on Brother Liu's body must be left by drinking this kind of wine.
"Drink less!" Liu Muzhe grabbed the cup.
"Don't worry, I know what to do!" Ye Jing'an said.
At night, the moon was bright and clear, its silver light shone on the ground. The moonlight shone on the two of them, like a layer of veil that was barely visible. They both remained silent, drinking wine and looking at the moon. The villa was very quiet, so quiet that Ye Jingan could clearly hear his own heartbeat.
After a few drinks, Ye Jingan's face began to feel hot and his head felt dizzy. He asked softly, "Brother Liu, did he accompany you to drink and watch the moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival in the past?"
