Sheep Eye Soul

Sheep Eye Soul

"If he won't tell you even if you beat him to death, use your bug to bite him until he tells you." Ye Jing'an said.

"I really don't know anything. What do you want me to say?" The Taoist priest was in tears and lay on the ground throwing a tantrum.

"Did you see that? You're still being stubborn!" Ye Jing'an said.

Qiu Zimu sat on the sofa with his eyes closed and didn't respond. Ye Jingan thought he was asleep and pushed him away. Qiu Zimu said, "I'm thinking about what kind of insect to use. Wait for me to get it."

Qiu Zimu yawned and staggered upstairs. It seemed as if he was going to go back and not come out again.

After a while, Qiu Zimu came downstairs carrying a small wooden jar and opened the lid at the Taoist's feet. Several insects the size of fingernails scurried out of the jar, their bodies gleaming with a metallic sheen. They moved so quickly that Ye Jing'an couldn't even see what they looked like before asking, "What the hell did you put there?"

"It's the bug that was released to bite you when you were a child." Qiu Zimu said.

Ye Jingan's thigh muscles tightened. He had suffered a lot from this bug back then. It was so small and so fast that it was impossible to catch it. It would run to a place that it found meat that suited its taste and take a bite.

Ye Jing'an had been bitten on the thigh before, probably because the flesh was so delicious that the bug refused to let go and continued to eat. Ye Jing'an grabbed one by the trousers. The bug had a big head, with two big eyes protruding from its head. From the front, it looked like an alien. Its blue and red body reflected the colorful golden luster, and the back was streaked with white spots, like a gem. It appeared different colors when viewed from different sides, and the luster was even brighter in the sun, which was very beautiful.

At that moment, Ye Jing'an felt the insect was sinister. Beneath its large eyes lay a massive pincer, which seemed to have smaller pincers within it, and its mouth was surrounded by a series of moving tentacles. Ye Jing'an had already grasped its body tightly, but it continued to grind its large teeth and stir its tentacles. Ye Jing'an was terrified by the sight of it moving its mouth; its tiny bite was incredibly painful, and the deep cut on his thigh was bleeding profusely.

Ye Jingan's thoughts were brought back by the Taoist priest's screams of pain. The Taoist priest lay on the ground and struggled, but still insisted that he knew nothing.

Qiu Zimu used to have three of these alien-like bugs, and he was quite kind to them, only letting one bite him at a time. Now he has caught more, and there are eight in the jar, and they are the elite ones that Qiu Zimu carefully selected.

Ye Jing'an could tell Qiu Zimu was a little upset at being woken up, but since Brother Liu sat on the sofa with a sullen expression, he didn't dare to make a sound either, as his anger was directed at the Taoist priest. Qiu Zimu was used to never releasing all the bugs, no matter what happened or who they were dealing with. He would always keep at least one or two, but today he released all eight of them.

Ye Jing'an was stunned. This insect also had several other colors. They waved their long legs and scurried around the Taoist priest, biting him. Ye Jing'an was so engrossed in watching that he noticed a bug standing on the Taoist priest's face, looking at him. The color of the bug was blue and red. Ye Jing'an felt familiar with it and had a bad feeling in his heart. Just as he stood up to leave, the bug flew towards him.

"Ahhh! How can it still fly!?" Ye Jing'an slapped it to the ground and hid behind Liu Muze. "Qiu, are you secretly using insects to take revenge on me?"

"I didn't, don't blame me. I didn't control them. They are just your old friends who came to play with you." Qiu Zimu hooked his fingers and called the bug into his hand.

"Brother Liu, he bullied me. He has been letting bugs bite me since I was a child!" Ye Jingan said.

"Do you have any shame?" Qiu Zimu looked at Brother Liu with grievance and said, "Brother Liu, it was Ye Jing'an who messed with me first. Don't believe him."

Liu Muze had already figured out what kind of people they were. He ignored them and asked the Taoist priest, "Will you tell me?"

"I say! I say... take the bug away." The Taoist priest shouted weakly.

Qiu Zimu put the bugs back into the jar. The Taoist priest took two breaths and said, "The person controlling that girl is a foreigner. I don't know how to control him."

"Where is he?" Liu Muzhe asked.

"I don't know." The Taoist shook his head.

Liu Muze said to Qiu Zimu: "Continue."

"No, no! I really don't know where he is! We only contact each other by phone!" said the Taoist priest.

"My patience is limited, so I urge you to tell me everything you know. I have plenty of ways to get you to talk without using a talisman, so don't ask for trouble." Liu Muzhe took out the jar containing the monster child and placed it on the table. "What are you and that foreigner doing?"

"I'm just a charlatan. I go around reading Feng Shui for people and performing rituals to exorcise ghosts to cheat people out of money. That foreigner came to me and said there was money to be made. He asked me to find some humble orphans who could sell their organs or die for them. He gave me a lot of money, so I agreed..." The Taoist's voice gradually weakened, as he was afraid that the child would pester him.

Song Yiyu grabbed his collar and yelled, "How dare you do something so illegal! Buying other people's organs, don't you feel guilty?"

"You've teamed up with foreigners to harm our compatriots. You've become a beast!" Ye Jing'an punched him and asked, "Where are those foreigners?"

"I really don't know where he is." The Taoist priest held his head tightly, afraid of being beaten by them together.

Ye Jingan untied the rope that bound him: "Call him and ask him, tell him there's something urgent to ask him."

"He will ask me to meet him at the old place, and he won't come out at night," said the Taoist priest.

"Beat him now! Beat him until he comes out!" Song Yiyu said.

"Okay, I'll fight you!" The Taoist priest made three calls before the other party answered. The foreigner said they could talk tomorrow if there was anything and was about to hang up. The Taoist priest hurriedly said, "Don't hang up! Something went wrong in the ghost marriage. Get out now!"

"What happened?" asked the foreigner.

"Don't ask anymore. Let's meet at the usual place. You must come, otherwise we will both die!" The Taoist priest cried and begged him to come.

The foreigner grumbled a few words in English, but eventually agreed to go. The Taoist priest took him to the place he'd mentioned on the phone, an old house on the outskirts of Huai'an. After waiting for nearly half an hour, the foreigner still hadn't arrived. Just as the Taoist priest was about to make a phone call, the doorbell rang. He went to open the door and hurriedly invited the foreigner in.

The foreigner was startled to see Ye Jing'an and the other two sitting in the room. Just as he was about to ask who they were, his eyes caught sight of Song Yiyu. Without a word, he turned and ran, but was caught by Ye Jing'an. Liu Muze slapped the talisman on his head and asked, "How did you control that girl?"

"I took her soul and placed a sheep-eyed soul inside her, using the Dark Soul Curse to control her."

Liu Muze didn't understand what the sheep-eye soul and black soul mentioned in the last two sentences were. However, when he heard that he had taken Ren Heshu's soul, Liu Muze became alert and asked again: "Where did you put her soul?"

"The soul bag in the desk cabinet at home."

"Where is your home?" Liu Muzhe asked.

The foreigner gave an address and Ye Jing'an wrote it down. It wasn't far from here and could be reached in half an hour by car.

"Who told you to collect souls? What is your purpose in collecting souls?" Liu Muzhe asked.

When the foreigner answered this question, his throat seemed to be hoarse and he couldn't say anything. Under the pressure of the talisman, his expression became painful and his hands and feet could not move. His eyes quickly turned red and his Adam's apple kept sliding up and down, as if something was about to jump out of his throat.

"No need to say more." Liu Muzhe said to Ye Jing'an, "It seems that he is also collecting souls for that mysterious person. I don't know what kind of secret sealing technique he uses. Even the talisman I used to deal with the celestial demon can't break it."

"Didn't you say that this talisman cannot be used on mortals? How can I use it on him?" Ye Jing'an asked.

"Is he a human?" Liu Muzhe took away the talisman, and the foreigner fell to the ground in a daze.

"Dead?" Ye Jing'an sniffed and found he was still alive, just unconscious. "He fainted in such a short time? He's too weak!"

"The conflict between the talisman and the mysterious man's spell just now consumed a lot of his energy." Liu Muzhe explained, "Let's go to his house first and retrieve Ren Heshu's soul."

"Okay." Ye Jingan dragged the person into the car and drove to the address.

This was also a villa complex, though not as luxurious as Sister Yuling's. Ye Jing'an took the key from the foreigner's pocket and opened the door. The living room was filled with a variety of bone, jade, and porcelain items, all of which looked quite expensive. In the southeast corner of the living room stood an altar table, upon which sat the head of an argali sheep, its horns coated with a copper-colored substance. Seven white candles were lit in front of the head.

The ground opposite the altar was covered with wooden nails, drawn in strange patterns with red and black lines. A candle was placed next to each nail. It must be a formation, but its purpose was unknown. Ye Jing'an checked other places in the room and found quite a few formations, large and small.

"What are these things?" Ye Jing'an picked up a strange glass ornament, which contained a dead mermaid.

"Don't touch his things. The West considers sheep to be demons. He must be using some Western magic." Liu Muzhe walked to the second floor. There were three rooms on the second floor, two of which were decorated with strange formations and many strange and bizarre items. One of the rooms even contained a dried corpse.

Liu Muze found his study, where the desk and cabinets were locked. Ye Jing'an stepped forward and kicked them, but the locks were of good quality and didn't break. Patiently, Ye Jing'an used a talisman to open them. Each cabinet was filled with gold, silver, and treasures. Liu Muze dug out a familiar black bag from among a pile of pearls.

Liu Muze opened the bag and saw the souls of nine people, four of whom were children. Liu Muze frowned and stared at the Taoist priest and asked, "How many people did you kill?"

"I don't know. I am only responsible for deceiving people. He did everything else." The Taoist said indifferently.

Liu Muzhe snorted coldly and kicked him to the door.

"My brother Liu usually doesn't hit people. If you can make my brother Liu angry and kick you, you should go to reincarnation." Ye Jingan said coldly, "Your girlfriend has been found, don't endure it, hit her."
