Chapter 117 You're Not My Husband?! (28) "From beginning to end..."
After a fierce battle, Fu Li lay limply on Alpha's body, beads of sweat clinging to her skin, her eyelids slightly closed, utterly exhausted.
Luo Ze gazed contentedly at the person in his arms. A rich cedar scent pheromones filled the air, carrying a sharp, aggressive undertone that warned those around them not to approach. This was why no one had disturbed them for so long.
Of course, Fu Li couldn't sense pheromones and therefore didn't know this. The shame and tension of potentially being seen at any moment during the act had overwhelmed him, giving him even more mental stimulation, making him even more exhausted now.
After resting for a while, Luo Ze tidied up the scene briefly, then wrapped the person in a clean towel and took them back to the villa to wash up.
Later that evening, Fu Li and Luo Ze went to the terrace for dinner. Dinner was grilled steak, the meat was fresh, and it was delicious with seafood sauce.
During the meal, Luo Ze did not follow the principle of "not talking while eating," and kept chatting with Fu Li about interesting anecdotes he knew. He always had a gentle smile on his face.
Because he had just taken a shower, his hair looked a little messy, with his sideburns slightly curled up. Coupled with his gentle and clear smile, Fu Li almost mistook him for Luo Ran for a moment.
He couldn't help but say to the system, "They really look alike. But how could this be? I examined Luo Ze's body before, and even the location of his birthmark is exactly the same as Luo Ran's. Even the features on his hands are similar. But Luo Ran is a painter, while Luo Ze works in an office all year round. I really can't understand how these characteristics can be the same. Apart from temperament and pheromones, there is no way to distinguish them."
"Is it scientifically possible for twins in this world to be this perfect?"
However, the system cannot answer this question either.
So, is it possible that...?
Fu Li narrowed her eyes slightly, her gaze revealing scrutiny and contemplation, but only for a moment. She quickly regained her attentive listening expression in front of Luo Ze.
However, Keluozhe still caught the fleeting abnormality in his eyes and guessed that Fu Li might have been looking at someone else through him.
The moment this thought crossed his mind, a raging fire suddenly rose in Luo Ze's heart, instantly generating a murderous intent and a murderous aura that seemed capable of destroying everything.
The words he was saying came to an abrupt halt. But he paused for only a moment, then continued speaking as if nothing had happened, his voice still warm and clear.
"What... happened to you just now?" Fu Li couldn't help but ask.
Luo Ze smiled faintly and said, "It's nothing, I just got distracted for a moment and forgot what happened next."
His face wore a gentle and relaxed smile, revealing no sign of anything amiss.
Fu Li said "Oh" and continued eating the food on her plate. She didn't see the man's tightly clenched fist on the table, nor did she feel the strong killing intent emanating from the cedar trees in the air.
That night, Fu Li went to the bathroom to take a shower first. During this time, Luo Ze remotely connected with his secretary.
He opened his mouth with a cold question: "What has Luo Ran been doing lately?" His voice was so sharp that it made the secretary on the other end of the phone shudder.
This tone usually indicates that President Luo is unusually angry. Isn't he on his honeymoon with the boss's wife? Could their relationship be sour again?
He answered Luo Ran's recent actions cautiously.
Finally, the report stated, "A company under the Vili family is acquiring shares in a subsidiary of the Luo family, and this may be the work of the second young master. Mr. Luo, should we intervene to stop it?"
On the other end of the phone, out of his sight, Luo Ze's brows furrowed sharply, his eyes revealing an icy chill as he coldly said, "Since he wants it, of course we have to give it to him. Tamper with it inside, and it would be best if we could drag Luo Ran down with us and send him in!"
The secretary hesitated, not answering immediately, but instead wondering, "What does 'send him in' mean? Is President Luo planning to send Luo Ran to prison? What kind of grudge do these brothers have? They're brothers, after all, is it really necessary to be so cruel?"
But he could not disobey Loze's orders, so he quickly replied, "Yes, I understand."
After hanging up the phone, Luo Ze walked to the balcony outside the bedroom, looked at the silvery moonlight on the sea, and slowly let out a sigh of relief.
His hands remained clenched into fists.
Sure enough, as long as Luo Ran was around, Fu Li would always think of him. Whether in the past or now, Fu Li came to the Luo family and met him because of Luo Ran, and even when she was by his side, she still looked for Luo Ran's shadow on the same face.
Ironically, he didn't dare to get angry and question Fu Li about it, since Fu Li's attitude was very clear from the beginning: it was just a transaction, except that the content of the transaction was his love and his docility.
Right now, things are just getting started between them. Luo Ze doesn't dare to break anything that's already happening, even though he knows it might just be a mirage.
However, the fact that he didn't retaliate against Fu Li doesn't mean he wouldn't dare to attack someone else.
As long as Ali never sees Luo Ran again in this lifetime, then his feelings and sorrows can only be entrusted to himself. In that case, it doesn't matter who he looks at.
The ferocity in Luo Ze's eyes was like that of a vengeful ghost from hell, and his whole body was filled with killing intent.
Just then, the bathroom door made a sound. The young man, having finished his shower, was drying his hair with a towel while glancing towards the balcony. He asked in confusion, "What are you standing there for? It's your turn to shower. Come in."
The man turned around, his expression softening and becoming handsome again. He went back into the room, put his arm around the person who was about to blow-dry his hair, and whispered in his ear, "But I don't want to wash alone. I'll trouble you to come in with me again, Ali."
Fu Li was taken aback, then began to pry his hands off her waist, saying irritably, "I don't want to. Didn't we agree on this? We were on the beach this afternoon... and we said we couldn't do it after tonight!"
Luo Ze, however, acted like a rogue, his fingers gripping Fu Li's waist tightly, as if it were made of iron and he couldn't move it. His voice was soft, almost like he was pleading, as he whispered in Fu Li's ear, "But that was what we agreed on this afternoon. And it was Ali who wanted it then, but now it's me who wants it... To be fair, of course we'll each get one time."
As he spoke, he applied a little pressure with his palm and pinched the soft flesh of Fu Li's waist. The young man immediately lost the strength to break free and was half-embraced by him as he went back into the bathroom.
Almost the entire honeymoon was filled with all sorts of sticky, unrestrained sex and lovemaking. Fu Li's hormone levels hadn't dropped yet, so she needed to release them in this way, while Luo Ze, lacking a sense of security, could only find a bit of satisfaction through such things.
This put the servants who came to the island in a difficult position. The bodyguards, being Alphas, were able to determine where to avoid based on the signals transmitted by Loze's pheromones, but the Betas could only rely on their judgment and intuition to walk around and try to avoid running into the two.
After a month, when the honeymoon ended and Fu Li returned to the capital, perhaps because of his experience on the island, or perhaps because of the trust Fu Li had promised, Luo Ze finally stopped keeping him locked up in the castle and began taking him to various social events.
So the people of the capital were finally able to see what the partner, whom the Luo family heir was so fond of, actually looked like.
When Fu Li appeared before everyone in a well-tailored dress, her entire body meticulously groomed, her figure slender and upright, her features delicate and gentle, many people were still surprised, even though they had heard that the eldest son of the Luo family had chosen a Beta as his partner.
Of course, this surprise could not be shown.
Many people came up to chat with them, mostly to congratulate Young Master Luo on his marriage, and they said all sorts of high-sounding words. Among them, Luo Ze liked to hear that the two were a good match, and when he heard it, the smile on his lips became much more genuine.
Most people in the circle are shrewd and know what he likes to hear, so they naturally choose to talk about those things.
Of course, now that Fu Li had been released, a meeting with Luo Ran was inevitable. Although Luo Ze tried to avoid her, he couldn't prevent her from having designs on him.
Then, at a charity gala, Fu Li saw Luo Ran again. He had his bangs swept back, and he looked handsome, elegant, and charming as he held a wine glass and discussed business with others.
Upon seeing Fu Li, he paused for a second, a glint of light flashing in his eyes, but quickly returned to normal and walked over calmly.
Before they could even speak, Luo Ze stepped in front of them, the furrows between his brows deep enough to crush an ant.
His tone carried a hint of coldness and hostility, but he didn't fully unleash it because he was in public. Instead, he asked, "What are you doing here?!"
Luo Ran stopped in his tracks, his eyes reflecting his brother's guarded and cold expression. He raised his glass, a faint smile playing on his lips, and said, "Of course I came at the invitation. Isn't it unnecessary for you to ask such a question, brother?"
Of course Luo Ze would ask. He was certain that Luo Ran wasn't on the invitation list before bringing Fu Li along. He also didn't want the two of them to meet at all.
At least not now.
The two were locked in a tense standoff. Luo Ran had come specifically to see Fu Li today, so he wasn't going to back down easily.
The cool scent of cedar and the intense aroma of gardenias mingled and clashed in the air around them, each presenting a subtle threat.
Others also noticed something was wrong and began to scrutinize and examine them.
The wedding was a grand affair, and many people witnessed Luo Ran's sudden intrusion. There were already many speculations, and now it seems to further confirm the discord between the two Luo brothers.
Just then, Fu Li broke the deadlock.
He tugged at the hem of the Alpha's shirt and said calmly, "The banquet is about to begin, let's go in too."
He was only momentarily stunned when he first saw Luo Ran, but afterwards he didn't show anything. Even the occasional glances he gave Luo Ran were indifferent, as if he didn't seem to have any lingering feelings for his ex-lover.
Upon hearing his words, Luo Ze turned his head, stared at him intently for a few seconds, and finally nodded. He then withdrew his overpowering and unsettling pheromones, took Fu Li's hand, and entered the arena with him.
From beginning to end, Fu Li did not say a single word to Luo Ran.
The latter watched their figures walk away side by side, his gaze fixed on Fu Li's hand, which was being held tightly by Luo Ze, and his eyes darkened.
