Chapter 35 The Fake Young Master's Dog Taming Guide (11) Illegitimate Child...

Chapter 35 The Fake Young Master's Dog Taming Guide (11) Illegitimate Child...

It was a beautiful, sunny morning. All the servants of the Yan residence waited respectfully at the gate for their master's return.

Yan He came to inform me that he would be bringing two important guests back with him this time.

Fu Li also changed into neat clothes early in the morning and waited eagerly at the gate. He hadn't seen his father for a long time, and couldn't help but feel excited and expectant.

Jing Qibai stood quietly beside the young master, his face calm and his eyes deep, as if he were the next butler.

A limousine smoothly pulled into the parking lane, and a tall, middle-aged man stepped out—the owner, Yan He. Although she already knew that she and he were not related by blood, Fu Li still felt a deep affection and respect for this father figure.

Before I could even greet him, I saw Yan He standing gentlemanly in front of the open car door, extending his hand with a rare tenderness in his eyes.

Then a slender, delicate hand reached out and rested on the back of Yan He's hand. The sunlight reflecting off the gemstone bracelet on her wrist almost dazzled the eyes. It was slender and elegant, clearly a woman's hand.

Then the owner of the hand revealed her true face: an exceptionally well-preserved woman, dressed in the attire of a noblewoman, exuding elegance and charm. Stepping out of the car and standing beside a mature and handsome man, they appeared as a match made in heaven.

Fu Li opened her mouth slightly, not having time to say anything, but saw a slender young man step out of the car from the other side. He was dressed simply, with slightly curly hair, and had a delicate and cute appearance. He smiled slightly in the sunlight, revealing two small tiger teeth on his lips, bright and gentle.

"Fu Li, come and greet your Aunt He. This is your younger brother, Yuesheng. You two should get along well from now on," Yan He said to Fu Li in a deep voice, holding the woman's delicate hand.

Before Fu Li could process the news, she saw the young man step forward. His eyes, which resembled Yan He's, seemed to hold a gentle, spring-like depth. He reached out and smiled tenderly at Fu Li.

"Brother Ali, can I call you that from now on? My name is Yan Yuesheng. We may not have met before, but we'll be brothers from now on. Brother Ali is so handsome."

Yan Yuesheng's sweet tone made Fu Li feel physically uncomfortable.

He then asked the system, "Is this Yan He's illegitimate son? He's already showing up in the house so early?"

The system replied: [Yes. Just a friendly reminder, he's only one year younger than you and Jing Qibai.]

Fu Li glanced at Yan He with a complicated expression.

After being reminded by the system to pay attention to her persona, she immediately put on a cold and disdainful expression as she looked at Yan Yuesheng's outstretched hand. Her eyes seemed to be filled with anger as she said in an extremely indifferent tone, "Yan Yuesheng...you also have the surname Yan?"

The tone was as if to say, "You think you're worthy?!"

Yan Yuesheng seemed oblivious to Yan Fuli's dislike for him, and replied in a light tone, "Yes, I am also Father's son. From now on, we can live together. You're looking forward to it too, aren't you, brother?"

The word "brother" evoked mixed feelings in Fu Li. She felt both uncomfortable and strangely guilty.

Ever since learning his true parentage, he had been worried about being replaced. Before this, he was afraid that Yan He would recognize Jing Qibai as his son upon his return, but he never expected that the other party would bring back an illegitimate child. The number of blood relatives had suddenly doubled; if that were the case, wouldn't his status be even lower?

Seeing the woman beside Yan He also reveal a gentle smile, Yan Fuli felt that the scene before her was extremely distorted.

It was as if the three of them were a family, and Fu Li was the superfluous one.

He couldn't afford to lose his temper in front of Yan He, so he could only suppress his anger, put on a stern face, and give a mocking sneer, saying, "Heh, I know."

Then, without calling out to anyone, he turned around and went back into the house.

Yan He frowned, as if he was very dissatisfied with Fu Li's performance. He turned to Yan Yuesheng and said, "Your brother is just like that. He has some flaws, but after all, he is the product of a marriage between two families. You should try to build a good relationship with him."

The fact that he said that shows he doesn't have much affection for the child Fu Li.

Yan Yuesheng returned a standard smile and obediently replied, "Yes, Father, I know." However, his gaze thoughtfully surveyed the mansion, especially sweeping over the seemingly respectful servants of the Yan family.

Fu Li didn't come out of her room during dinner either. It was as if she was protesting against Yan He bringing his mistress and illegitimate child back.

When Yan He heard the servant report that the young master did not intend to come down to dine with them, he merely frowned, casually instructing, "Remember to make sure he eats," and then said nothing more.

An hour later, Yan He sat down to eat with his mistress and son, looking like a happy family of three.

But then Yan Yuesheng suddenly asked in a curious tone, "Dad, do you know whose that thing in the corner of the living room that looks like a doghouse is?"

Yan He saw it when he entered, but didn't pay attention to it, so he said, "It's probably for Fu Li's pet."

Yan Yuesheng smiled faintly and said, "But the whole mansion doesn't look like it has any pets. And even if they used those kennels, they would be for large dogs. How could we not see them or hear a single bark when we came in?"

Then, adopting a mysterious tone, as if he had discovered something new, he said, "Father, you won't believe it, but I just heard a servant say that the doghouse is actually for a person to sleep in, the boy who followed my brother upstairs. Apparently, my brother rode on him like a dog, so they let him sleep in the doghouse."

His expression was innocent and naive, as if he were simply sharing a magical experience. His next words were: "Brother, you really know how to play. I didn't know you could do that."

Upon hearing this, Yan He was agitated and immediately summoned the butler to inquire about the matter. The butler, unaware of how the master had come to know, had no choice but to admit it, explaining that the boy was the child of the nanny the master had taken in a year ago, and was now an orphan.

Yan He was furious upon hearing this and ordered Fu Li to be brought down. He then gave her a severe scolding in front of everyone.

Fu Li was still somewhat bewildered as he stood in the restaurant, head down, being scolded. He never expected his father to bring up this matter on his very first day back. However, when he caught a glimpse of the ambiguous smile on his illegitimate younger brother's face, he immediately understood.

He couldn't help but mentally complain to the system, "Wow, this is some serious tactic. Could Yan Yuesheng be some kind of 'green tea bitch' or 'white lotus' character?"

His face, however, wore an expression of grievance and anger: "It's not fair! I'm clearly the young master of the Yan family, why can't I do this? Besides, it's not like he didn't want to!"

He thought, since Xie Qiuchen could accept him doing such a thing and even take the initiative to teach him, why couldn't Yan He?

Little did he know that Yan He was not angry about how he treated Jing Qibai, but rather that Yan Yuesheng had discovered it on his very first day back, as if he, as a father, had failed in his duty of discipline, making him lose face.

The head of the Yan family valued his reputation above all else, whether in front of outsiders or his youngest son. Therefore, an expression of extreme disappointment appeared on his face as he said:

"You don't need to eat dinner either. Tomorrow you'll stay in your room and reflect on your actions. Also, throw away all that filthy stuff! What kind of example are you setting as an older brother?!"

At this moment, the woman sitting next to Yan He's eyes flashed, and she stood up, took the man's hand, and advised, "Oh dear, why are you so harsh on the child? Children like Ali's age often misjudge the situation, and Yue Sheng is the same way. It's only because I, as his mother, am there to guide him that he doesn't make mistakes. But Ali is different; it's only right that we be more tolerant of him."

It sounded like advice, but the underlying meaning was a roundabout way of cursing Fu Li for being born without a mother.

However, her tone was gentle, and Yan He was still angry with Fu Li, so he didn't immediately notice. Even if he had, he probably wouldn't have thought anything of it. Just as he had no feelings for Xie Xia Hong, he also had no feelings for their child.

The woman's words ignited the young master Yan's long-suppressed anger and resentment. He had long felt lost because of his background, and hearing these words only broke his defenses further.

His expression immediately changed, and redness rose around his eyes. He shouted, "Shut up!"

The woman seemed startled by his imposing manner, covering her mouth and taking a step back. Yan Yuesheng also hurriedly went to check on his mother's condition, as if that shout posed a tremendous threat.

Yan He was furious at Fu Li's rude behavior. With a "slap," he slapped Fu Li hard across the side of his face, leaving a red mark on the boy's porcelain-white cheek.

"Shut up! Look at yourself! You have no manners at all! Is this how I raised you?!"

All the bitterness in the boy's heart instantly surfaced on his face, a hint of anger reddening his eyes. He shouted angrily, pushed over the lamp next to him, and then turned and ran upstairs.

The fragments were scattered all over the ground, and Yan He's expression was gloomy.

After dinner, he called Jing Qibai down and told him that he no longer needed to obey Fu Li's orders. He felt his son was too willful and needed to be disciplined. He then introduced Yan Yuesheng to him.

Jing Qibai gazed at Yan Yuesheng's bright and delicate face, and at the friendly outstretched hand, and symbolically extended his own to shake it. Beneath his calm gaze, however, lay a deep scrutiny of the other man.

Fu Li had stormed upstairs in a rage, her face still bearing the marks of her injuries, yet she refused to show herself and instead cried bitterly under the covers. This must be related to the person in front of her.

He was aware of Yan Yuesheng's illegitimate child status, and originally had no intention of doing anything, but if the other party's purpose in coming here was to cause the young master distress—

With a bright smile, Yan Yuesheng reached out his porcelain-white hand and grasped Jing Qibai's palm, saying in a crisp voice, "I know you. You won the gold medal in that famous physics competition. You're really amazing. I need to learn a lot from you. Can I call you Brother Qibai from now on?"

Jing Qibai smiled faintly and asked, "Do you like to call everyone 'brother'?"

His tone carried a hint of sarcasm.

Yan Yuesheng's expression changed slightly, but he didn't say anything more.

Yan He, standing to the side, didn't notice anything amiss, and his gaze towards Yan Yuesheng held a hint of satisfaction. It was clear that he favored this illegitimate son more than Yan Fuli.

Jing Qibai saw all of this, and after exchanging a glance with Yan Yuesheng's now indifferent eyes, he left.

Author's Note: Should we set the moon as a slice? Ugh, this is such a dilemma.
