Chapter 101 Breaking the Stalemate (Part 3)

"So the fruit in my orchard wasn't eaten by cattle and sheep, but stolen by your Wang family?"

"I said your apples and winter pears looked so familiar, and you were giving them away to customers like they were free. You're shameless, doing something wrong and then blaming others?"

When accused in front of the entire village, Wang Jianguo and Wang Jianjun panicked.

"Nonsense! Would we be short of something like that? Would we steal it from your house?"

"That's right! Shouxin has been minding the shop these past few days, how could he have come up the mountain? Stop talking nonsense!"

Chu Xiao smiled, but his eyes were filled with murderous intent.

"Whether it's nonsense or not, we'll find out by going to your father-in-law's house and taking a look."

Before going to the village committee, Chu Xiao made a phone call to Mu Zhicheng.

Given Mu Zhicheng's decisive and efficient nature, he must have already successfully captured Wang Shouxin, who was hiding at his mother-in-law's house.

Sure enough, the phone rang at that moment.

He deliberately turned on the speakerphone in front of everyone.

Then came Wang Shouxin's heart-wrenching screams and Mu Zhicheng's cold laughter:

"Chu Xiao, you guessed right. This kid hid your cows and sheep at your mother-in-law's house and was just about to slaughter them."

"Chu Xiao, do you think I should call the police, or chop off one of his hands first?"

Wang Jianjun screamed in fright upon hearing the voice on the other end of the phone:

"No! You can't lay a hand on Shouxin. We bought those cattle and sheep ourselves; it has nothing to do with you!"

Chu Xiao knew he wouldn't admit it, so he simply opened his phone and shoved the shopping list in front of him.

"See? The cattle we raise are branded and marked. This is to prevent them from being lost or to facilitate random inspections before slaughter."

"Besides, so many people can testify that your son did it. If you don't admit it, we'll call the police."

Wang Jianjun panicked completely.

"No, don't call the police! I, I'll just give the cattle and sheep back to you, and I won't bother you about the strawberry field."

Chu Xiao was amused by him.

"Oh, so according to you, should I thank you?"

Wang Jianjun's face turned pale and red.

"So what exactly do you want?"

"Make Wang Shouxin personally kowtow to me, admit his mistakes, compensate for the losses, and guarantee that he will never set foot on the Chu family farm again!"

"You can stop coming to the Chu family farm, but you can't make him kowtow and apologize to you!"

Wang Jianjun is a man who cares a lot about his reputation, so he refused without even thinking.

Chu Xiao suddenly moved closer to him, a smile on his face, but the murderous intent in his eyes surged like a tidal wave.

"I'm not negotiating with you right now, I'm giving you a notification, understand?"

Wang Jianjun's breath hitched, and he felt his whole body stiffen.

Just then, a heart-wrenching scream came from afar.

"Dad, save me!"
