Upon seeing Gu Yanwu emerge from the mountain stronghold, they immediately piloted their aircraft and roared over.
A flash of cold light jolted Gu Yanwu out of his daze. "Qin Yue Zhao, I am Gu Yanwu!"
Gu Yanwu?
The longsword, which had almost grazed his neck, veered off course and grazed his dark hair.
Qin Yue Zhao landed steadily, staring at him in disbelief.
The man in front of me was tall and thin, no more than twenty years old, with deep and well-defined features. Even with his stubble, you could still tell that he was very handsome.
He wore a jade pendant resembling the moon around his neck.
Qin Yue Zhao remembered that the jade pendant did indeed belong to Gu Yanwu, the son of the former Minister of Personnel.
Because the jade pendant was originally round and hung on Gu Yanwu's waist.
But when Qin Yue Zhao was sixteen, she fought him and used her spear to break his rope, causing the jade pendant to shatter into two pieces.
Gu Yanwu then found a craftsman to turn it into a pendant.
Qin Yue Zhao was also scolded by Huo Ting Ye for this, because the pendant was his mother's keepsake.
Recalling the past, Qin Yue Zhao hurriedly shouted to those around her, "Stop! All of you, stop right now!"
He strode up to Gu Yanwu, and the two looked at each other for a long time.
Suddenly, she punched the man in the chest and shouted angrily, "Gu Yanwu, you're still alive!"
Everyone was stunned by this sudden turn of events.
Chen Wan'er rushed forward with a frown.
"Your Highness, do you really know this thief?"
Qin Yue Zhao laughed heartily: "Wan'er, don't you recognize him? He's Gu Yanwu, the young master who brought you peach blossom pastries when you were little."
Chen Wan'er frowned even more deeply.
"Impossible! Wasn't Young Master Gu killed by bandits? How could this be..."
Her gaze fell on Gu Yanwu's face, and her eyes widened even more: "Really, really it's you?"
Gu Yanwu staggered back two steps after being punched to the ground by Qin Yuezhao, but he was still laughing heartily.
"Thank goodness, Princess Yue Zhao, you're still alive! That's wonderful!"
"I never imagined that I, Gu Yanwu, would be able to reunite with my friend in this desolate land in my lifetime!"
Qin Yuezhao was somewhat angry.
"If we are such good friends, why have you never written a letter to me all these years? Do you know how long your grandfather has been searching for you?"
"And you've even become an outlaw; have you forgotten your vow from back then?"
Back then, the two of them learned martial arts together at the Huo family's home and swore an oath under the peach tree that when they grew up, they would fight on the battlefield, serve their country, and never do anything immoral.
But things have changed drastically; their statuses are now worlds apart.
