Chapter 50 The War Begins (Part Two)

Zhao Qian is a man with a lot of underhanded tricks, and he certainly doesn't want listening devices and miniature cameras in his car.

After finishing these tasks, it was already broad daylight, and the sound of a truck roaring could be heard not far away.

He then remembered that the medicine he bought last night was due for delivery.

The driver and unloaders unloaded all the medicine into the yard. He paid the remaining balance and sent Qin Yuezhao a message:

"The medicine has arrived. Get ready to receive it."

Qin Yue Zhao had just finished setting up traps and arranging archers, and was about to send someone to scout the whereabouts of the Northern Barbarian army, when she heard a huge explosion coming from the mountain road ten miles away from the main gate.

Like a bolt from the blue, it shook the entire city of Liang.

Huo Tingye looked into the distance through the telescope attached to his crossbow and saw flames reaching the sky and mountains collapsing. He immediately shouted, "Your Highness, it's done!"

Almost simultaneously, the spy rushed to the city gate, shouting and laughing, "Your Highness, it's done! The Northern Barbarian army sent Mog ahead, but they were blown to bits by our army!"

"Bang bang bang!"

Several more explosions rang out, and the canyon ten miles away was completely blown apart.

As planned, nearly 160 explosive charges were buried in that area, with the explosives stretching for more than ten miles. Judging from the sound, the main force of the Northern Barbarians had all entered the deployment range.

Looking at the warhorses fleeing in all directions and the falling banners of the Northern Barbarian army in the distance, Huo Tingye shouted excitedly, "They're all dead! The entire vanguard of the Northern Barbarians has been killed!"

"Judging from this situation, we've killed at least tens of thousands of people. Our chances of winning are getting bigger and bigger!"

The soldiers on the city wall were moved to tears upon hearing this.

Good heavens, this is probably the most satisfying battle we've fought in over a year!

Huo Tingye also wiped away tears with emotion.

The Huo family army finally got to hold their heads high for once!

Qin Yue Zhao nodded as she watched everyone gesturing excitedly.

"That's wonderful! We have to thank the gods for their help! I'll tell them this good news right now!"

As soon as she finished speaking, a piece of white paper floated out of the treasure bowl.

The note said the medicine had arrived and told her to prepare a big event.

She immediately picked up the treasure basin, rode back to the military camp, and sent a message back to Chu Xiao once she arrived at the camp.

Upon receiving the message, Chu Xiao immediately used his mind to transmit all the medicines to Qin Yue Zhao.

Upon hearing that war was about to break out, the military doctors were already waiting outside the general's tent.

Seeing the medicine raining down from the sky, the group knelt down on the ground, kowtowing and praying to the treasure basin, chanting words of thanks for the divine intervention.

Qin Yue Zhao wrote a message and sent it to Chu Xiao:

"By the gods above, Yue Zhao has received what you sent. Thank you for the explosives! The vanguard of the Northern Barbarian army has been completely wiped out, greatly boosting the morale of the soldiers. Liang City has a good chance of breaking through!"

Chu Xiao quickly replied: "Was the commander of the Northern Barbarian army killed in the bombing?"

Qin Yue Zhao replied with a smile: "Given Mog's personality, he would definitely be eager to avenge yesterday's incident in the cave, so I think he should have been blown up."

However, this is not the case.

Although Mogg was injured by the explosion, he was not killed.

Having witnessed the explosion at the North Mountain cave, he had the foresight to not walk ahead of the main force, but instead led his strategist behind.

When the explosion occurred, his warhorse heard the sound and carried him out of the blast radius.

He was injured in the eye by flying sand and stones, becoming a one-eyed man.

When the strategist saw that he was injured, he ordered the main force to stand in front of him under the pretext of protecting the commander-in-chief.

The two groups fought fiercely, with Zheng Hu and Ling Tianen charging forward recklessly.

"Kill them! To catch the thief, catch the king first! Whoever kills Mog will be rewarded with 100 catties of rice and 50 catties of meat!"

"For every head of a Northern Barbarian soldier, you'll be rewarded with a pound of rice and a pound of meat! For Liangcheng, kill them—"
