I've flipped the fluffy ball over the years and tried to control it, but I've found it's impossible.
It is clear that even if one knows the method of manipulation, it is impossible to control the device unless one is the Pavilion Master.
The number of Gods of Happiness in the Happiness Pavilion is enormous, and among them are many top-notch experts.
If all these gods of joy could participate in the battle, they would indeed be an extremely powerful and terrifying force.
Without a doubt, this will become Bian Lang's trump card, and it should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
Bian Lang picked up his teacup, drank it all in one gulp, and urged Mao Qiu to take him to see the classics.
Several days later, a scout came to Xishen Pavilion and reported that the imperial army would arrive at Tongtian River in five days.
The Empress's imperial carriage was heading towards the Xishen Pavilion.
Bian Lang had always felt regretful that he hadn't been able to meet the Empress in the capital.
The empress had been searching for a corpse-sewing man, and specifically for a corpse-driver from Justice Fortress, which reminded Bian Lang of an old acquaintance.
If the Empress is truly that old friend, why does she remember Justice Fortress and the Corpse Driver, but not his name?
Bian Lang did not rush directly to the Empress as he had done before to confirm the truth, simply because after countless disappointments, it was difficult for him to bear the pain of another disappointment.
Liu Yi and Dugu Qiusheng arrived at Xishen Pavilion one after the other.
Several large armies were also advancing towards Xishen Pavilion.
"Master, are you sure you want to start a war here?" Maoqiu asked, her face full of worry.
Bian Lang laughed and said, "The terrain here is high, overlooking the Tongtian River, which makes it easier for us to defend against the enemy."
"But it could also destroy the Xishen Pavilion," Maoqiu warned.
Maoqiu still hopes that Bianlang, as the head of Xishen Pavilion, can think more about the interests of Xishen Pavilion.
However, in Bian Lang's heart, nothing in this world is so important that it cannot be given up.
If Xishen Pavilion is destroyed in this battle, then it is Xishen Pavilion's destiny to disappear into the long river of history.
Several days later, a figure appeared on the opposite side of the Tongtian River.
Those people were all dressed in silver armor and draped in blood-red cloaks. Even across the wide Tongtian River, one could feel the domineering aura emanating from them.
Those soldiers were clearly scouts; as soon as they appeared, they dispersed to both sides of the river.
They would plant a flag at regular intervals.
“They must be setting up a formation,” Liu Yi said.
The Empress wanted to surround the prison, but this was difficult to do by manpower alone; she could only rely on a powerful formation.
"Once they successfully form their formation, we won't even have a chance to escape," Maoqiu warned.
Bian Lang said, "Don't you want to show your skills?"
"I don't want to at all." Maoqiu shook her head vigorously.
Liu Yi and Dugu Qiusheng didn't want this to happen either, but it was a sudden event, and they had no other choice.
Faced with the powerful empress, they had no choice but to fight.
A moment later, the Empress's imperial carriage also appeared by the river.
The soldiers built a large wooden palace by the river, making it seem as if the empress intended to reside there permanently.
"I'm going to meet the Empress," Bian Lang said with a smile.
Just then, someone threw a magic gourd into the river. The gourd quickly grew larger and then sped towards them.
Bian Lang's eyes were sharp, and he immediately recognized the person standing on the treasure gourd as Shen Sanmu.
Shen Sanmu crossed the river alone without any guards, presumably temporarily acting as an envoy.
After leaving Xishen Pavilion, the group arrived at the edge of the cliff. They watched as Shen Sanmu crossed the river and then appeared before them.
"Master Bian, how have you been?" Shen Sanmu asked with a smile.
Bian Lang laughed and said, "Lord Shen, you're not here to inquire about me, are you?"
"Haha, I'm here on behalf of His Majesty to negotiate with you," Shen Sanmu laughed.
Dugu Qiusheng asked in surprise, "The enemy is already at the city gates... by the river, can we still talk?"
“His Majesty is benevolent and cannot bear to kill innocent people indiscriminately. Therefore, as long as the bandit leader commits suicide and is executed, the rest can be exempted from all crimes,” Shen Sanmu said.
The so-called bandit leader undoubtedly refers to Bian Lang.
Bian Lang laughed and said, "Let me die in exchange for the lives of thousands. This deal sounds pretty good."
"If I were you, I would sacrifice my own interests for the greater good," Shen Sanmu advised.
Bian Lang said, "If it's just to take my life, there's no need for the Empress to come here personally, is there?"
"Only His Majesty knows the location of Mount Ling, and only His Majesty can dispel the protective array that guards Mount Ling," Shen Sanmu said.
The implication is that Bian Lang and the others are not important enough for the Empress to make a personal trip.
However, if she wanted to mine the spiritual minerals on the prison land, the Empress had to make this trip herself.
"That woman is indeed vicious. She can spare everyone else, but she won't let Brother Bian go," Dugu Qiusheng complained.
Shen Sanmu corrected, "It's not about letting everyone go, but about exchanging Bian Lang's life for yours."
“I’d rather not do that kind of work,” Liu Yi said.
Dugu Qiusheng nodded in agreement.
“Bian Lang, I think His Majesty has already shown great favor, you really shouldn’t hesitate,” Shen Sanmu advised.
Bian Lang chuckled and said, "Lord Shen, there is actually another way. I can marry your Empress, or I can become an adopted son-in-law."
Shen Sanmu shook his head slightly. Bian Lang was just unreasonable.
"Brother Bian's idea is truly excellent," Dugu Qiusheng praised, giving a thumbs-up.
Liu Yi laughed and said, "What if the Empress is an ugly monster?"
“It could also be an old woman,” Dugu Qiusheng said.
A woman who has lived for ten thousand years probably wouldn't have much to offer in terms of appearance, skin, or figure. (Reading Dirty)
Bian Lang sighed, "In order for you to live, I have no choice but to compromise myself."
"Brother Bian, your righteousness is admirable," Dugu Qiusheng said, clasping his hands in praise.
