Chapter 42
After the little girl left, the man came in.
"What do you want?" I asked him.
"You killed our young master, and you still ask me what you want?" he said with a gloomy face.
"He killed so many people, he deserved to die," I said.
The man in front of him sneered and said, "When we catch that girl, I'll show you what it means to deserve death."
Then he pulled a dagger from his shirt and cut my finger. I was powerless to resist, and could only watch as he collected half a bowl of my blood. He drank it all in one gulp, even licking the corner of his mouth.
"Such a rich Yin energy, it's really delicious." He said reluctantly, "It's a pity that you didn't enter the Xuanmen, wasting your Yin body."
I didn't understand what he was saying, I just felt it was perverted. At the same time, I was hoping that Erma could come to save me, but I was also afraid that she would be caught too. I felt very conflicted.
After he finished his recollection, he looked at me and said, "If you accept me as your master, I will release you and your friends. How about that?"
"I would rather die than be like you," I said.
He put the dagger to my neck and said, "This is not up to you."
I didn't want to look at him and closed my eyes.
He dropped the dagger and walked out of the house, smiling.
I don’t know if it was because I had just bled, but I felt more and more dizzy, and then my eyes went black and I knew nothing.
When I woke up, I saw the little girl. She first fed me some food, then let me smell her small wooden stick. The rich aroma hit me, and I woke up a little, but I felt dazed again, and my mind was a mess.
I looked at her and pricked my finger with a needle. My blood dripped into her bowl. When it was half full, she left.
Now, I have become their blood-making machine.
For the next day, no one came in again. Not even the little girl, and she didn't bring me food. My mind was clear now, and I tried to break free from the ropes around my wrists. After a long struggle, I curled up as best I could and used my bound hands to push through my legs from behind. With some effort, I finally got them around my thighs and out in front.
I tiptoed to the door of the house and looked out. It was dark and torches were lit outside.
Seeing no one around, I thought of running away. So I nervously walked out of the house, looking around as I searched for a way out.
I don't know where this is. The house is like a yurt, but made entirely of grass and wood.
There was no one around, so I ran away.
Just as I was wondering why there was no one guarding me, I heard the familiar sound of a truck coming from the front. I quickly hid by the roadside and waited for the truck to pass before running away.
It was so dark at night that I couldn't see the road clearly without a light source. Not far ahead, a ball of blue-green flame appeared. Without thinking, I ran straight towards it. But where did the flame come from in the middle of the night? It was only when I got close that I realized this.
The reason was simple: a grave appeared before me. A blue-green flame danced on the grave—a will-o'-the-wisp. I could clearly see the grave in the light of the will-o'-the-wisp. While most graves are built of stone with a small gate at the front, this one was different. It was made of wood, and strangely, a wedding couplet was affixed to it.
Just as I was wondering, I saw the lights of a large truck behind me.
Oh no, that person must have noticed me running away and is now driving after me. I turned around and continued to run, but the bumpy mountain road was full of rocks, and I couldn't see clearly where I was stepping, so I tripped and fell to the ground.
A large truck appeared behind me. I had been in darkness for a long time, and when the headlights hit me, I involuntarily covered my eyes with my hands.
He got out of the car, then was grabbed back without a word. He pushed me into the house, and in front of me was a man scratching himself all over. He was lying on the bed, and even with his hands tied, he couldn't stop himself from scratching himself all over. Looking closely at his face, I saw a striking resemblance to the man who had grabbed me. It suddenly dawned on me that they were brothers. No wonder I was caught in the alley the same day Erma went to catch that man. It turned out to be a tactic to lure the tiger away from the mountain.
But looking at him now, he seems to be in so much pain that he wants to die.
"Your friend is really amazing. He could actually hurt my brother like this." he said.
It turned out that he was injured by Erma.
At this moment, I didn’t know whether I should be happy or not, and my hope grew.
He took advantage of my inattention and cut my finger. This time, because I didn't smell the incense, the pain was particularly strong. He put my finger directly into the bowl, this time catching a whole bowl, and then fed it to his brother.
I feel completely drained, a symptom of excessive blood loss.
After his brother finished drinking my blood, he carried me out. When I was confused, he came in again. This time he not only tied my hands, but also my feet.
It seems that there is no hope for me to escape this time. I won’t be bled to death by them.
A day later, he came in and fed me some food. This was supposed to be done by the little girl, but today he did it instead.
Later, another person opened the door and came in. It was his younger brother. He was completely different from the day before and looked like a normal person.
"When will mom come to pick me up?"
"Tonight."
"It's a pity that she has such a yin body. Her blood tastes so delicious." His brother showed an infatuated look.
"Don't try to hit on her. If you ruin Mom's good fortune, you know what will happen."
“What a pity.”
I listened to their conversation in confusion.
His brother came over, cut my finger with a knife, and collected half a bowl of blood. Over the past two days, I felt like they had drained all my blood.
"Alright, stop it. She doesn't look like she can hold on much longer."
I really couldn't hold on much longer; I couldn't even open my eyelids. I drifted off into the night, and they both lifted me up and dragged me out of the house. A man was waiting for us outside. I don't know if the bleeding had made me unconscious, but he looked very similar to the two men who were dragging me.
They pushed me into the car and locked it shut. This time they sat next to me, and there was a light bulb in the car that swayed with the movement of the truck.
After a bumpy ride all night, when the car stopped, they pulled me out.
I looked around and saw a village. The whole village was decorated with lights and colorful lanterns, but no one was in sight. The three of them dragged me to the village square. In the middle stood two blood-red coffins, with the word "longevity" written on them.
They pressed me into the coffin and closed the lid, leaving only a gap.
I don't know what they're going to do, but I have a feeling something terrible is going to happen tonight.
