On the dining table, Sichuan cuisine and Cantonese cuisine complement each other.
Chen Dong took out the red wine that Li Xiaoman had given him, "You two are in luck. Try the 1787 Château Lafite Rothschild red wine."
Vivian Chow asked in surprise, "Honey, did you buy this?"
"It was a gift from someone else."
The two women said "Oh," but didn't ask about Chen Dongjiu's background.
“However, I recognize this wine. I’ve seen it in wine tasting magazines before. I never expected to actually see the real thing.” Annie clicked her tongue slightly.
So she explained it to them, and they realized how amazing the wine was.
Château Lafite Rothschild, one of the five first-growth Bordeaux estates, was established in 1354. Lafite wines are known for their prominent floral and fruity aromas, smooth and elegant flavor, and are often referred to as the "Queen" of the wine world.
Château Lafite Rothschild was already quite famous in the 14th century, and its products were the favorite wines of the nobles at Versailles.
The 1787 Château Lafite Rothschild red wine, just by hearing its name and vintage, you know it's expensive.
A bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild red wine sold for £105,000 (equivalent to US$160,000 or RMB1.28 million) at Christie's auction house in London in 1985.
The most eye-catching item, attracting numerous wealthy bidders, is engraved with the letters Th.J., signifying that the bottle was once owned by one of the most influential figures in American history—Thomas Jefferson, the country's third president.
As they spoke, they took the bottle and examined it closely, but they did not find the letters Th.J. on it.
The two women were very disappointed, very disappointed!
Chen Dong just chuckled and said, "Don't be greedy. This wine is quite good, and it's not bad to drink, but the one with the engraved letters is more of a historical commemorative item."
However, being able to drink such a historically significant wine is a kind of enjoyment in itself.
Enjoy the atmosphere of time that has been preserved here, and feel the nature, scenery, culture and spirit of that era hundreds of years ago.
Among the dishes on the table were many "white meats," which were a perfect match for dry red wine.
Wine red as blood...
Chen Dong raised his glass, "The first toast is to celebrate Miss Annie's successful return!"
"Haha, I like you guys!" Annie laughed, raising her glass to Chen Dong and Zhou Huimin.
bite!
The three cups gently tapped together.
Each person took a small sip.
"The second glass is to celebrate the harmonious atmosphere of the three of us sitting at the same table for a meal!"
"Ha, what a cowardly man!" Zhou Huimin picked up her cup again and glanced at Chen Dong.
"Haha, boss is so cute. So, you have fears too?" Annie laughed as well.
Chen Dong smiled faintly.
The three clinked glasses again.
After Chen Dong's words, the atmosphere gradually became warm and relaxed.
They ate and chatted.
Chen Dong inquired about Annie's company in the United States.
Anne replied, "Everything is fine. Except for the fact that you're not here with me. By the way, Mr. Jobs asked me to ask you when he will be able to take office."
Chen Dong chuckled lightly, "Don't rush, let him wait for a while, probably within the next few months. Just tell him that I've almost integrated the supply chain for mobile phones and computers, but it will still take some time."
Anne nodded. "I understand. I'll get back to him later."
Chen Dong reached out and lightly flicked her forehead. "Let's eat first. We can talk about work later."
“You’re hitting me again…” she said, looking at Zhou Huimin and pouting, “Sister Min, the boss only knows how to bully me… you don’t even help me.”
Zhou Huimin rolled her eyes at Chen Dong, "Annie just got back and you're already bullying him. Be careful, or we'll team up."
Chen Dong grinned, "Alright, then let's all stay tonight and deal with me!"
Zhou Huimin immediately fell silent, her face flushed. She could already imagine what would happen that night.
Annie looked around, then asked slowly, "Big sister, why is your face red? Is it an alcohol allergy? Are you alright?"
"Speak less and eat quickly." After saying that, Zhou Huimin also lowered her head to pick up some food.
“Oh.” Annie looked aggrieved.
Chen Dong chuckled inwardly, but his thoughts had already wandered far away.
He realized that Soros's operation would only officially begin in July, but the funds were already in place and the relevant work had been assigned; all that was left was for the opponent to enter the fray.
Perhaps I should take advantage of this time to go to Europe and see if the wineries and football clubs there are worth investing in.
He then asked the two women for their opinions.
Anne naturally clapped and cheered.
Vivian Chow hesitated, "Honey, Huaxia Star is making its way into Hollywood. Would it be a bad idea for me to leave at this time?"
Chen Dong smiled and stroked her hair affectionately, saying, "Remember, you're the manager. If you have to do everything yourself, what's the point of having subordinates?"
Anne chimed in, "Exactly! The most important thing for a manager is to learn to be lazy. As long as you can find talent, discover talent, and put them in the right positions to do the right things, instead of having the manager make all the decisions about every project, or even doing everything yourself."
Zhou Huimin then made up her mind, "Alright, let's go then."
"Great! Let's go on a wonderful trip to Europe."
"Didn't you just come back from abroad? You're going out again. Don't you find it annoying?"
“It’s not bothering at all, it’s actually quite good. Especially since I’m going out with you guys. As long as I have my boss and you, I’m happy!” Annie said. “Of course, it’s not that working abroad is bad. Being able to use my abilities and earn money makes me feel that everything I’m doing is worthwhile.”
