"Brother, I..."
"Stop! At home!"
"But aren't you feeling unwell?"
A brief silence fell over the room.
Lin Yifeng might dare to do that, but he wouldn't dare to cause trouble at Bai Yejin's house.
What if he goes too far? What will his parents think of him tomorrow?
A moment later, Bai Yejin took the initiative to lift the covers.
What are you doing?
Lin Yifeng sat up in confusion, looking at Bai Yejin.
Bai Yejin reached for a hair tie from the bedside table and skillfully began to tie her hair up...
The next morning.
The two walked out of the room, still half asleep.
They were greeted by Bai Yejin's parents with bright smiles. Bai Yejin's mother hurriedly went into the room, still talking.
"I'll go help tidy up, you guys go have breakfast."
Upon hearing this, Bai Yejin and Lin Yifeng both breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, the two behaved themselves last night and did not have any overly intimate conversations. In the morning, they even made sure to check that no traces were left before leaving the room.
A short while later, Bai Yejin's mother returned to the dining room, her disappointment evident on her face.
After staying at Bai Yejin's house until noon, Lin Yifeng prepared to leave.
As several people saw them off, Bai Yejin's parents stood at the door watching Lin Yifeng's car drive away.
"Honey, what's wrong with Xiaofeng? How can he endure this?"
Bai Yejin's mother frowned, incredulous.
Bai Zhanguo looked at Bai Yejin, who had gone back to catch up on her sleep, and sighed deeply, looking like a shrewd old fox.
"I feel it's not that simple."
"Look how sleepy Xiao Jin is."
"It's not that we didn't succeed."
"I'm afraid these two have already consummated their relationship a long time ago!"
A relieved smile appeared on Bai Yejin's mother's face.
...
On the way, Lin Yifeng drank cola and enjoyed the cold wind, afraid that he might get sleepy.
Once he returned to Makino City, he immediately booked a room and took a nap.
He didn't sleep much last night, and of course, this thing also owes a debt to Bai Zhanguo's drink; its effects are much stronger than some small capsules.
To be honest, Bai Yejin's voice was probably hoarse today.
In the evening, Lin Yifeng wasn't completely idle. He first went to have dinner with Ye Wuzheng and the others. Later that night, he went back to his old, run-down apartment and told Xu Qingyi and Xu Wanxia to pack their things so they could go home with him the next day.
The next morning, Lin Yifeng, along with Guo Fengsheng and Xu Qingyi, took the red envelopes he had prepared earlier and went from Wallace to Mixue Ice Cream. After giving each employee a red envelope, he saw Guo Fengsheng off.
The purpose of giving out red envelopes was not to celebrate the occasion, but to prevent these employees from getting used to living at home after the start of spring and not coming back to work.
This is a standard procedure that every shop owner follows when opening a business.
With only two days left until the Spring Festival, Lam Yat Fung also closed its business early to give everyone a holiday to go home for the New Year.
After settling in here, they headed to Pang Donglai's place.
Inside Pang Donglai, Donglai smiled as he handed out red envelopes to his employees.
Once everything was almost done, he went into the office.
As soon as I entered, I saw Lin Yifeng and Xu Qingyi already sitting there waiting.
"Dong-ge! Happy New Year!"
Xu Qingyi stepped forward with a smile and extended her hand.
Upon seeing this, Donglai frowned, pretending to be unhappy, and jokingly scolded.
"You little brat, you even asked me for a red envelope!"
"Brother Feng has already given it, Brother Dong, aren't you going to give it to him yet?"
"Yes! Yes! We'll definitely give it to you!"
Donglai grinned and pulled out a large red envelope he had prepared, then stuffed it into Xu Qingyi's hand.
After everything was settled, Lin Yifeng asked Xu Qingyi to go out for a moment.
Only Lin Yifeng and Donglai remained in the room.
Donglai seemed to sense that something was wrong, and his expression became serious.
He cautiously inquired of Lin Yifeng.
"Brother Feng, is there something you want to tell me?"
Without saying a word, Lin Yifeng took out a bank card from his pocket and pushed it in front of Donglai.
"Donglai, there's 150,000 in this card."
"Take it first."
These words startled Donglai.
Having worked for so long, he had never seen so much money before, so he hurriedly picked up the bank card and stuffed it into Lin Yifeng's hand.
Seeing that Lin Yifeng hadn't put it away for a long time, Donglai was even more flustered.
He stared intently at Lin Yifeng, then suddenly blurted out a sentence.
"Brother Feng, you're not going to send me home, are you?"
Lin Yifeng was both amused and exasperated by Donglai's frightened expression.
"Go home, I definitely want you to go home."
"It's almost Chinese New Year, are you going home and planning to stay here again?"
"What? Are you planning to apply for a security guard job at Pang Donglai?"
Donglai still didn't understand Lin Yifeng's joke and nodded with extreme disappointment.
"Okay, Brother Feng, I got it. Thanks for taking me under your wing."
"Stop! Stop! Hold on!"
Seeing that the topic was getting further and further off track, Lin Yifeng hurriedly stopped Donglai from speaking and then began to explain to him.
"Donglai, of this 150,000, 100,000 is to pay off your debt."
"Fifty thousand is your salary for this month, plus the red envelope I gave you."
"Take this and go home to have a good New Year."
Donglai, finally realizing what was happening, smiled.
However, such a large sum of money caught Donglai off guard, and he hurriedly declined.
"The salary is too much, Brother Feng, I'll just take a little."
"I'll go back and pay off part of it. I'll be able to pay off all the money I owe gradually."
"Actually, you don't need to give me so much..."
Seeing that Donglai wouldn't budge despite his gentle approach, Lin Yifeng suddenly hardened his tone as well.
