If the attitude isn't good, will the price double?
The Chinese restaurant is decorated like a Western restaurant and will be open for limited hours.
Their first thought was that the shop was doomed to fail sooner or later.
Lin Yifeng looked at their bewildered expressions with a faint smile on his lips.
Although he doesn't understand the management of Chinese and Western restaurants, he understands the needs of Shanghai!
This business model, which has been advanced for almost 30 years, would be a complete disaster in Shanghai. But what can you do when they just love this kind of business?
Sun Lixin still thought Lin Yifeng was joking, so he laughed and teased him.
"Alright, Yifeng, stop teasing me."
"If I keep doing this, the Bianyifang brand will eventually be ruined in my hands."
Lin Yifeng shrugged and did not respond.
He had already given Sun Lixin the lead; whether the other party believed him or not was another matter entirely.
After chatting for a while in the office, Sun Lixin learned that Lin Yifeng was going back to Shitou Village, which piqued his interest.
I absolutely have to find a place to use the kitchen so I can show off my skills to Lin Yifeng.
When the group arrived at the small restaurant downstairs, the owner, upon discovering that the visitors were Sun Lixin, whom he only saw on television, naturally made room for them on the stove.
Putting aside other issues, which of them, as chefs, hasn't heard of Sun Lixin's name?
What's more, being able to learn a few tricks up close, without even having to pay tuition, makes the boss even more delighted.
Sun Lixin was quick-witted and, as expected of a master of state banquets, he managed to organize the kitchen of a temporary restaurant very well.
Before long, he prepared several dishes for Lin Yifeng, asking him to take them home for his family to try.
Lin Yifeng thanked Sun Lixin and instructed Donglai to treat Master Sun well before returning to Stone Village with two boxes of marinated roast duck.
Having just returned home, Lin Xiuxiu and An'an were diligently doing their homework in the yard, bathed in the still-sunlight.
Upon seeing Lin Yifeng return, An'an was even more excited than Lin Xiuxiu, rushing to the door in two strides.
"Uncle Lin!"
Lin Yifeng affectionately patted An'an's head and led her back to the courtyard.
Outside, Lin Jinshui had just returned from working in the fields and was smoking at the door.
Feng Cuie and Bai Yejin were preparing dinner by picking vegetables, while Zhou Xuelan sat on the edge of the stone mill in the courtyard, looking at the documents in her hand with a melancholy expression.
"Big brother, you're back?"
Lin Chongfeng smiled as he helped his family wash vegetables.
All eyes turned to Lin Yifeng.
Lin Yifeng, carrying the food in his hands, was also calling out to Feng Cuie.
"Mom, I brought back some food from the city. Let's have some steamed buns for dinner, no need to cook."
Feng Cuie glanced at Lin Yifeng and rolled her eyes at the half-basket of vegetables that remained.
"Look at you, you didn't even say you were coming back. What am I supposed to do now?"
"That's such a waste."
Feng Cuilan picked up the vegetable basket, not forgetting to give Bai Yejin some instructions.
"Xiao Jin, after you get married, you'll have to keep an eye on my eldest son."
“You never know when you’ll cook a meal and he’ll want to eat out again.”
"He really does things on a whim."
Lin Yifeng scratched his head awkwardly and smiled slightly at Bai Yejin.
Inside, the wood-fired stove was replaced with a steamer, and Feng Cuilan took out several bags of prepared steamed buns from the freezer in the cool room and started steaming them.
Lin Yifeng also took advantage of the time to heat up the pancakes for the roast duck.
Soon the table at home was packed with people.
Originally, it was just the family of five, but now there are Zhou Xuelan and Bai Yejin, and An'an has also come.
Eight people were crammed around the small round table.
Lin Yifeng was also thinking that if he had some free time in the next day or two, he would go to Shuiyun Town to get a bigger table.
It must be said that Sun Lixin put in a lot of effort. In order to make sure Lin Yifeng's family had a good meal, he made eight dishes and a soup, a total of ten dishes including roast duck.
Everyone picked up their chopsticks and quickly began to eat.
Sun Lixin's cooking skills are undoubtedly excellent, and An'an and Xiuxiu, those two little gluttons, ate with their mouths full of oil.
The roast duck, in particular, made Lin Jinshui's eyes light up, and he insisted on having a couple of drinks to enjoy it.
While he was eating, he kept asking Lin Yifeng questions.
"Son, where did you buy this food? It smells so good!"
"This craftsmanship is really good."
"It tastes much better than your mom's dark, mushy stir-fried dishes."
Feng Cuie glared fiercely at Lin Jinshui, and continued to hurl insults at him relentlessly.
"Even though it's dark, it didn't kill you."
"Just eat! Why are you so talkative!"
Having just finished scolding Lin Jinshui, Feng Cuie turned around and put on a kind expression, rolling up a roast duck pancake for An'an.
"Here you go, Auntie! Eat this. Grandma made it especially for you!"
An'an smiled as she received the gift, and sweetly called out "Auntie!"
This made Feng Cuie smile from ear to ear.
But Lin Yifeng then began to speak.
"I guess we'll be hard-pressed to get to eat this kind of food again next time."
"Try to finish everything, don't leave any."
"This is a meal prepared by a master chef specializing in state banquets. In Kyoto, only national leaders would be able to afford such food."
The entire room fell into a deathly silence instantly.
Lin Yifeng picked up a piece of food, chewed it, and looked up to see that everyone's eyes were focused on him.
Bai Yejin and Zhou Xuelan both looked dazed.
Feng Cuie and Lin Jinshui had vegetables in their mouths, but dared not swallow them.
Lin Yifeng then realized how impactful his words had been.
The family members had spent their entire lives working in the fields when one day their son brought home a meal and told them that it was food only national leaders could eat.
