Chapter 499 Becoming a Director

Almost every TV station buys the broadcasting rights to the old Three Kingdoms series.

However, compared to the diverse range of television themes that followed, if we disregard acting skills, today's TV dramas can only be described as classics, lacking some distinctiveness in terms of subject matter.

After thinking for a long time, Lin Yifeng suddenly asked a question.

"Brother Meng, what do you think? Should I make a TV series for fun?"

Upon hearing this, Meng Ran stared wide-eyed at Lin Yifeng.

He had been feeling drowsy just moments before, but now he was incredibly energetic.

"What?"

"You're going to make a TV series!"

What type?

Lin Yifeng was somewhat surprised to see that Meng Ran did not question his suggestion.

"I haven't decided yet."

Meng Ran sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his chin and muttering to himself.

"How about we make something similar to 'Ji Gong'?"

Lin Yifeng shook his head again.

"I'm not interested in that."

"Mainly, I want to be a director once."

Upon hearing this, Meng Ran finally let out a cry of shock.

"What?"

"You're going to be a director?"

Seeing Meng Ran's reaction, Lin Yifeng didn't know what to say for a moment.

Meng Ran wasn't surprised when he said he wanted to film a TV series.

However, when he said he wanted to be a director, Meng Ran raised questions.

For a moment, he didn't know whether Meng Ran was questioning him or had more faith in him.

Lin Yifeng nodded.

He was initially quite curious about what it would be like to be a director, but he didn't have the opportunity while he was abroad, and after returning to China, he didn't have much energy left to pursue it.

Now that he's been reborn and has this opportunity, Lin Yifeng still wants to give it a try.

Thinking of this, Lin Yifeng sat up in bed and turned to look at Meng Ran beside him.

"Brother Meng, what do you think? Should I give this a try?"

Meng Ran hesitated for a moment.

"Would you like to reconsider?"

"If you're going to make a movie, it might take some time."

"And it mainly depends on what type of TV series you're filming."

"You've only just started school..."

Lin Yifeng nodded in agreement, having considered this point.

To be honest, at this point, Lin Yifeng was already starting to regret going to university.

It's really inconvenient to do anything.

But now that he's in university, Lin Yifeng is determined to finish his studies.

He put this matter out of his mind, thought it over carefully, and then decided whether to take action.

In the following two days, Lin Yifeng also seemed somewhat absent-minded.

Bai Yejin also noticed that Lin Yifeng was acting strangely, but she didn't ask any further questions.

On the third day, when it was time to eat, Lin Yifeng held his plate for a long time without touching his chopsticks, and Bai Yejin finally couldn't help but ask him about it.

"What's wrong?"

"Has something happened at the company?"

Lin Yifeng snapped out of his daze and shook his head.

"No, I'm thinking about something."

What are you thinking about?

"How about we make a TV series and I direct it?"

"you?"

Bai Yejin blinked, looking at Lin Yifeng with some curiosity.

She seemed surprised that Chet Lam was suddenly going to film a TV series.

After a brief moment of thought, Bai Yejin handed Lin Yifeng a glass of water and murmured softly.

"Go if you want to."

"I reckon you won't have a quiet time studying at this university either."

"You're just full of ideas."

Lin Yifeng smiled.

After Bai Yejin said that, Lin Yifeng's desire to make a TV series grew stronger.

That afternoon, Lin Yifeng arrived at the school's office.

"What the heck?"

"You're asking for half a month's leave?"

"Lin Yifeng, are you kidding me? It's only been a few days since school started!"

Zhou Xuelan stared at Lin Yifeng in shock.

As Lin Yifeng's homeroom teacher, Zhou Xuelan never expected that her seemingly simple job was actually anything but simple.

What gave her the biggest headache was Lin Yifeng.

"Tiger Girl, keep your voice down."

Lin Yifeng frowned and gave a reminder.

Zhou Xuelan then noticed that all the teachers in the office were staring at the two of them.

Zhou Xuelan smiled apologetically at everyone and hurriedly pulled Lin Yifeng outside.

At this moment, Zhou Xuelan was also in a very difficult situation.

It's only been less than a week since school started, and Lin Yifeng is already asking for half a month of leave. How is she supposed to continue doing her job as a teacher?

What college student can be so lawless?

Lin Yifeng, however, continued to give instructions from the side, seemingly unconcerned.

"Go and get the approval done for me."

"I reckon if things can be negotiated down."

"It may take a month or two."

Zhou Xuelan was stunned for a moment after hearing this, then rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath.

"Why don't you just drop out of school?"

"One or two months."

"Is there any point in you going to university?"

Lin Yifeng smiled and hurriedly waved his hand to urge him on.

"Tiger Girl, hurry up and go before the school leaders get off work."

"Just tell me your name."

After Lin Yifeng finished speaking, he paused, and fearing that some leaders might not recognize him, he gave them another instruction.

"If you don't agree, then look further up the list."

Zhou Xuelan looked at Lin Yifeng with disdain.

"Do you think the school is your private property?"

"You can come and go as you please."

Seeing that Zhou Xuelan was hesitant to get up, Lin Yifeng waved his hand.

"You can go."

"Enough with the nonsense."
