Yang Biaozi was stunned for a moment, blinking his eyes in disbelief.
"Brother Lin still has connections over there."
Lin Yifeng nodded.
Wei Yuxian has already helped with this.
Now, as long as you get a pass from customs, you can basically pass through normally.
This trip to Hong Kong is very important; we need to find a decent film crew so we can start looking for actors and filming.
However, before going there, Lin Yifeng had another matter to attend to.
"By the way, Biaozi."
"Does anyone know Lao Rong?"
"I need someone with more experience and seniority. Help me get in touch with one."
Upon hearing this, Meng Ran looked at Lin Yifeng with curiosity.
Having a military background, he couldn't understand what Lin Yifeng was saying at first.
His gaze quickly fell on Yang Biaozi, wanting to see how Yang Biaozi would react.
Yang Biaozi frowned and muttered to himself.
"Old Rong?"
"To recognize is to know."
"Brother Lin, what do you want with Lao Rong? Do you need them to do something for you?"
Lin Yifeng nodded.
Lao Rong's words are considered slang in this area. In other places, they might be called Xiao Lü or Mo Bao'er, but the most common and easily understood terms are thief and pickpocket.
These guys usually form cliques, each led by a highly respected master chef who sends them on errands. When they return, the master eats the most, while the errand runners get the least.
Based on Lin Yifeng's impression of this group, pickpockets these days are basically a bunch of immature kids, and most of them are a group of people specially trained by veteran pickpockets.
Yang Biaozi, who had been involved in the underworld for many years, was certainly quite familiar with this matter.
Seeing Yang Biaozi's puzzled look, Lin Yifeng smiled and explained.
"I'm planning to film a TV series that's related to Lao Rong."
"I want to find a few people to pass on the technology."
"See if there's anyone who doesn't want to continue in this line of work and wants to try working with me."
Upon hearing this, Yang Biaozi immediately understood Lin Yifeng's meaning.
He frowned and muttered to himself.
"Tsk, this is going to be difficult."
"It's a bit like losing your job."
"Doing this kind of work is easy to offend people, but it's not like no one is willing to do it..."
Yang Biaozi's expression showed some hesitation, as if he had already thought of a candidate.
Lin Yifeng looked at Yang Biaozi with some curiosity.
After thinking for a moment, Yang Biaozi shook his head at Lin Yifeng.
"I can't guarantee we'll be able to find anyone."
"But I can go and ask for you first."
"I do know an old man like that..."
Lin Yifeng didn't pursue the matter further and instructed Yang Biaozi to arrange it as soon as possible.
After dealing with this matter, they prepared to head to Hong Kong.
Of course, this was part of Lin Yifeng's original plan.
To film "The Swindlers," the most needed element is an off-set technical advisor, and Yang Biaozi clearly has that kind of connection.
After lunch, Lin Yifeng and Meng Ran returned to the hotel.
On the way, Meng Ran also asked Lin Yifeng out of curiosity what Lao Rong was.
After Lin Yifeng explained it to him, Meng Ran's eyes widened.
"Yifeng, are you saying you really want to cast a pickpocket in a TV series?"
Lin Yifeng waved his hand.
"How could that be?"
"I just need someone to give me some pointers."
"This is a technical skill; we definitely can't figure it out by just trying to figure it out ourselves."
"Shouldn't you find someone to give you some pointers? That way you can avoid taking some detours."
"Besides, if you're going to film, film it professionally. It will also help raise public awareness of theft prevention."
Meng Ran was also rendered speechless by Lin Yifeng's explanation.
However, the last vestige of justice in his heart still made him feel somewhat guilty about the matter.
After all, hiring a pickpocket to be an actor's teacher sounds rather bizarre.
After resting for two days in Fujian, Yang Biaozi also began to work hard on Lin Yifeng's matter.
He already had someone in mind, and he's been running around these past few days trying to see if he can help Lin Yifeng get it done.
Two days later, Yang Biaozi came to the door, looking at Lin Yifeng with a grin.
"Okay!"
"Brother Lin, the person will be here shortly."
"What should we say? Let's just go downstairs to the conference room and wait there."
At Yang Biaozi's invitation, the three of them went downstairs to the conference room to wait.
About half an hour later, Yang Biaozi received a phone call.
He turned to look at the two people beside him and nodded.
"The person has arrived."
"It's downstairs."
"Coming up right away."
Lin Yifeng was also a little curious about what kind of person Yang Biaozi had found.
After all, doing this job is a way of indirectly ruining one's livelihood in this industry, and it's also something that offends people.
Once these pickpockets retaliate, nobody knows what the final outcome will be.
Lin Yifeng was initially unsure about the matter, but he didn't expect Yang Biaozi to actually find someone.
A few minutes later, the sound of the elevator came.
A short while later, a sprightly old man limped in through the door.
The old man had a full head of white hair and a kind smile on his face. He was leaning on a cane with his left hand and had his right hand behind his back. At first glance, he looked like an old man taking a stroll in the park.
But upon closer inspection, Lin Yifeng inside the room gasped in shock.
Despite the old man's energetic appearance, his left hand was basically stuck on a specially made cane, his right leg was stiff and difficult to move, and he only had his index and middle fingers left on his left hand.
Of course, that's not all.
