Zhou Xuelan looked at Lin Yifeng in front of her and didn't know what to say.
Bai Yejin was also dumbfounded.
Only Meng An'an, sitting in Lin Yifeng's lap, was quietly asking Lin Yifeng a question.
"Uncle, is it appropriate for us to eat barbecue at Shaolin Temple?"
A brief silence fell over the car after these words were spoken.
Lin Yifeng scratched his head.
"It doesn't matter."
"Anyway, these monks ring the bell during the day and return to secular life at night."
An An tilted her head and looked at Lin Yifeng.
What does "returning to secular life" mean?
"It's about returning to normal life."
"Oh, do they get married and have children?"
"Maybe."
Zhou Xuelan, sitting in the back seat, finally couldn't stand Lin Yifeng's explanation and scolded him.
"Alright, stop corrupting An'an."
"It's not that mysterious."
"Don't listen to your Uncle Lin's nonsense."
Lin Yifeng shrugged, unsure of what to say.
Anyway, he was telling the truth, but most people in this era don't really believe it and still have great respect for the Shaolin Temple.
The distance from Shangdu to Shaolin Temple is not far, and these days there are very few private cars; it's mostly tour buses that take you to Shaolin Temple.
The journey on the highway was smooth and unobstructed until we exited the highway in a nearby county and headed to Songshan.
After driving for about two and a half hours, the group finally arrived at the foot of Mount Song.
After making a phone call for a while, Xu Qingyi waited at the intersection for about half an hour before a farmhouse owner came out on a motorcycle.
The boss was dressed simply and had a mustache.
The boss was startled by the way the group was acting.
"So many people!?"
Xu Qingyi looked at the boss and teased him with a smile.
"What's wrong, boss?"
"Aren't there enough beds prepared?"
The boss waved his hands repeatedly and hurriedly explained.
"How could that be?"
"The money has been paid and everything has been arranged for everyone."
"All the meat and vegetables are prepared over there; you just need to skewer them yourselves."
Everyone looked at each other and got into the car happily.
After driving for about twenty minutes, the group arrived at a farmhouse.
This place is usually reserved for pilgrims who come to Shaolin Temple to pay homage. They usually stay here for a short time, so there are definitely enough spaces.
Xu Qingyi booked the entire courtyard for two whole days and two nights, basically all ten rooms in the courtyard were available for their use.
Inside the courtyard, two barbecue coal stoves were lit in advance, along with a kitchen and a shower area, making it fully equipped.
The boss also turned to introduce the items to everyone.
"Though small, the sparrow has all the vital organs."
"Every room is ready. As for water, there is a water room and water cart over there. You can use it yourselves."
"The keys are on the door. Have fun, everyone."
Lin Yifeng told Xu Qingyi to get the boss a cigarette and a bottle of wine, and then led everyone to carry their luggage back to their rooms.
As for accommodations, they have been arranged in advance.
Zhou Xuelan was responsible for taking care of the two little ones in one room, while Meng Ran helped take care of Lin Chongfeng.
The Donglai couple, Xu Qingyi and Miao Rou shared a room, and the rest of the people were basically assigned to their own rooms.
After things were mostly settled, Donglai's wife, Ma Li, was the first to rush into the kitchen to get busy, followed closely by Lin Cuilan and Xu Wanxia.
After Zhou Xuelan and Bai Yejin finished cleaning up, they also joined in the work of washing vegetables and skewering meat.
As for Meng Ran, he didn't need much explanation. He didn't have much luggage to begin with. After putting his things away, he went to the yard, picked up an axe, and started chopping firewood and coal to prepare for the barbecue that night.
In no time at all, everyone was busy.
When Lin Yifeng went out, everyone started to busy themselves with their own things, preparing everything before nightfall.
Lin Yifeng was also prepared to help, but he suddenly realized that he was not needed anywhere.
Go to the kitchen, where there are already enough people. Several women are chatting and working together. When they see Lin Yifeng, a grown man, arrive, they quickly shoo him out.
Lin Yifeng originally wanted to go to the yard to help, but Meng Ran had basically done all the work by herself, leaving the rest of the group sitting on the steps in the yard smoking and spacing out.

As soon as they stepped outside, they saw Lin Yifeng sitting on a small stool with his back to the two of them.
Zhou Xuelan looked at Lin Yifeng's leisurely appearance and scolded him with dissatisfaction.
"Boss! Look at you, all you have to do is have nothing to do!"
We're all incredibly busy!
"So you're here on vacation, right?"
Lin Yifeng shrugged and turned to give Zhou Xuelan a disapproving look.
"I said I was helping out, so why won't you let me go?"
