Li Zhi asked with a stern face, "Why did you take He'er outside?"

"Yes," the butler replied.
Li Zhi walked up to Su Yuexing and asked, "How old is your younger sister?"
Su Yuexing bowed her head respectfully and said, "Twelve years old."
He murmured, "Twelve years old is still a bit young."
Su Yuexing frowned, a bad feeling creeping into her heart.
"Master, the young master has arrived," a servant announced as he entered.
Li Zhi's face lit up with joy. He glanced at Su Yuexing, then stepped forward to greet her, asking anxiously, "Child, are you alright?"
Li Jinghe said calmly, "He won't die."
"Father, what brings you to Xinning Garden?" he asked.
Li Zhi's eyes dimmed as he said, "So you're protecting her now? You've really forgotten your father after marrying a wife."
He tossed his hands behind his back and said, "Alright, I have something important to tell you."
"Besides discussing business, I also found you a renowned doctor during my trip to the capital."
"He is still on his way. I believe he will arrive at the Li residence soon."
Over the years, Li Zhi has consulted countless doctors in order to treat Li Jinghe's illness.
“You don’t need to do all this useless work,” Li Jinghe said casually.

Xie Xuanye came in from outside and saw the person standing in the courtyard. He immediately hid in the shadows, his brows furrowing slightly. Why was he here?
Could they be here to treat Jinghe's illness? Thinking this, Xie Xuanye's heart sank.
He saw a white figure walk in. Why was she here too?
When Li Jinghe saw Su Yuexing enter, his eyes involuntarily curved into a smile. She must have heard that a famous doctor from the capital had come to see me, so she came specifically to inquire about my health.

Su Yuexing said without fear, "It was him who killed my brother!"
Li Jinghe frowned slightly. "It was him?" His eyes were filled with suspicion.
Sai Taxue ran into Li Zhi on the way out of Changshou Garden.
"Doctor, what happened to your face?" Li Zhi asked.
Could it be that He'er did it? He wondered.
Sai Taxue said through gritted teeth, her face stern, "You'll have to ask the young mistress of the Li family about that."
He placed his hands behind his back, straightened his body, and said, "I will return to the capital in three days." With that, he turned and left.
Li Zhi was furious; how dare she offend Doctor Sai! He rushed towards Changshou Garden.
Xie Xuanye was just about to emerge from the shadows when he saw Li Zhi walking towards him from a distance. He immediately shrank back and watched him walk towards Changshou Garden.
It seems that woman is in trouble.
"Su Yuexing!" Li Zhi called out.
Su Yuexing turned around and respectfully called out, "Father."
Seeing Li Zhi raise his hand, Li Jinghe immediately shouted, "Stop!"
Li Zhi paused, his raised hand still, and said, "You want to protect this woman, don't you?"
Li Jinghe met his angry gaze and solemnly said, "She is my wife. No one but me is allowed to lay a hand on her, including Father."
Su Yuexing looked at him with surprise, as did Li Zhi.
Unexpectedly, he was already deeply infatuated with this woman.
Li Jinghe explained, "The reason Yuexing took action was because this doctor had treated her younger brother and caused his death."
Upon hearing this, Li Zhi asked in disbelief, "Impossible. Everyone in the capital praises Doctor Sai's medical skills."

Besides, it was someone from the Duke's mansion who asked me to bring her back; he would never harm He'er.
