When Xu's father saw the expression on Deputy Director Li's wife's face, he knew that she was complaining that the things she brought were not high-class enough.
"Huai De, these are the parents of Xu Damao, whom you always call your right-hand men. Talk to them properly and tell them to stop with this nonsense. We don't need this little bit of food and drink!"
After saying this, Li Huaide's wife, who had just come out of the bedroom, gave Li Huaide a big, big eye roll.

Xu Damao knocked on the door of Deputy Director Li's office.
"Come in!"
Deputy Director Li's office is a suite; the outer area is for working and receiving guests, while the inner area has a bedroom where he sleeps when he's not home.
When Xu Damao entered, Deputy Director Li was looking at documents at his desk.
"Hey, Da Mao, didn't you stay home and rest for a few more days?"
"Deputy Director Li, how could I possibly stay home? I've just recovered, so I'm back to work!"
As Xu Damao spoke, he took out the pearl necklace.
"Director Li, look."
"These are wonderful things! Look at these pearls, each one is plump, translucent, and of excellent quality. Da Mao, where did these come from?"
As soon as Deputy Director Li took it over, he knew that this pearl necklace was definitely not an ordinary necklace.
