Lou Xiao'e turned to Wang Qiang beside her and said.
"You go back first, it won't be good if others see us later. I'll go by myself."
Wang Qiang said to Lou Xiao'e:
“This place is too remote. How about this, I’ll take you to the entrance of the alley.”
Lou Xiao'e couldn't resist Wang Qiang's insistence, so she had no choice but to agree and let Wang Qiang take her to the entrance of the alley.
On the way, Wang Qiang rode his bicycle, with Lou Xiao'e sitting behind him, holding tightly to his waist.
"What should we do? I don't want to work as a nanny at the factory manager's house."
As she spoke, Lou Xiao'e's body swayed involuntarily with the movement of the road.
"Don't worry about this. Just follow my instructions when the time comes."
When they reached the alley entrance, Wang Qiang pretended to kiss Lou Xiao'e.
"Oh dear, what are you doing? What if someone sees this?"
Lou Xiao'e was so embarrassed that she quickly pushed Wang Qiang away.
"Go find a photo of yourself."
Wang Qiang smiled and urged Lou Xiao'e to hurry home and get the photos.
"What do you need the photos for?"
Lou Xiao'e looked at Wang Qiang with some confusion.
"Just go when I tell you to."
Wang Qiang waved his hand, urging her to hurry up.
Although Lou Xiao'e didn't understand Wang Qiang's intentions, she still obediently ran home.
...
"for you."
Lou Xiao'e handed Wang Qiang a full-body photo of herself taken before her wedding.
"Alright, go home and wait."
To be honest, Wang Qiang turned to leave, but Lou Xiao'e stopped him.
"There's one more thing. I just passed by my second uncle's house. I saw his three sons acting suspiciously, looking in the direction of Qin Huairu's house."
"I hope nothing bad will happen?"
Lou Xiao'e was unaware that the three Liu brothers were planning to sneak into Qin Huairu's house that night and steal back the 200 yuan.
"It's okay, just take care of yourself."
Wang Qiang gave a brief instruction and then rode away on his bicycle.
Watching Wang Qiang walk further and further away, Lou Xiao'e felt a mix of emotions. Now, Wang Qiang was the only one she could rely on.
Wang Qiang returned to the factory first.
It's almost noon now.
Wang Qiang stepped into the factory director's office.
I saw that Deputy Factory Director Li was also there.
"Oh, you're in a meeting? I'll report back later."
As he spoke, Wang Qiang tried to back out.
"Ah, it's alright, we've finished here. We'll leave the matter of Deputy Factory Director Li as is. You can go now."
After the factory director finished speaking, Deputy Factory Director Li got up and left, looking at the two of them with some suspicion.
After confirming that Deputy Factory Director Li had left, Wang Qiang closed the door.
"So? Did she agree?"
At this point, the factory manager was already quite impatient.
"This? She has some requirements."
Wang Qiang looked troubled.
"She has requests? If she has requests, just say so. I'm not afraid of her having requests, I'm afraid of her not having any."
The factory manager knew that she had agreed to the request, so he didn't care what it was.
"That's right, didn't she divorce Xu Damao? Now she has nowhere to live and is still living in the house that Xu Damao used to live in."
"Oh, she can stay at my place from now on, it's no big deal."
The factory manager was surprised to hear such a request. He immediately offered his own solution.
"No, factory manager, please listen to me, she wants Xu Damao's house."
Wang Qiang's words stunned the factory director, who secretly thought to himself, "This Lou Xiao'e is indeed no ordinary person."
"This yard isn't factory property," the factory manager said, somewhat embarrassed.
"You're such a big factory manager, can't you even handle this little thing?"
Wang Qiang's words put the factory director in an awkward position, but then he thought about Lou Xiao'e's appearance.
The factory manager felt a little itchy to try it again.
"Hey, will this work?"
The factory manager seemed to have thought of something and strode over to Wang Qiang.
"Didn't she divorce Xu Damao?"
"Yes, we just finished it this morning."
Wang Qiang pretended not to understand.
"How about this, we divide the house in two, giving one half to Lou Xiao'e and the other half to Xu Damao? What do you think of this plan? Would she agree?"
"That's a good idea, but will Xu Damao agree to it?"
Wang Qiang pretended to be thinking and seemed somewhat troubled.
"Xu Damao isn't so easy to control?"
Wang Qiang reminded him.
"It's alright, it can't possibly cause any major upheavals."
The factory manager waved his hand dismissively, signaling Wang Qiang to stop talking.
"Okay, you go and handle this right away, and explain it to Lou Xiao'e. Giving her everything is unrealistic, but half should be fine."
Wang Qiang agreed, stood up, and turned to leave.
"Hey, I'll have to trouble you to come over later. I have two bottles of good wine here. Could you take them to my house?"
The factory manager took two bottles of wine from a small cabinet next to him and handed them to Wang Qiang.
"Okay, no problem. I'll bring you the wine first, and then we'll get on with that."
Wang Qiang carried the wine out of the office.
"Just when I was feeling sleepy, I found a perfect excuse to come to your house."
Wang Qiang muttered something to himself and then rode his bicycle toward the factory director's house.
"It's Xiao Wang."
The factory manager's family lived in a detached villa. When he knocked on the door, his wife, Cai Hong, came out.
I recognized him immediately; he was Wang Qiang, the purchasing agent from the factory, who often delivered things to my home.
"Come in."
Wang Qiang went in and casually handed two bottles of wine to Cai Hong.
"Sister-in-law, the factory manager asked me to bring this back."
"It's very precious; this is what the top leaders drink."
Cai Hong quickly put the wine away.
Wang Qiang seized the opportunity to say, "It's too tiring for you to clean such a big house by yourself. I heard that we've found a housekeeper for you, and she'll be here in a couple of days."
"Ah, yes. He told me that I haven't met her yet, and I don't know what the nanny looks like."
The factory manager couldn't possibly hide the fact that he was hiring a nanny from his wife. However, he didn't tell her what kind of person he had found.
"I heard she's the wife of Xu Damao, the projectionist at the factory. Her name is Lou Xiao'e."
"Really? Oh, it's a pity I've never seen her. What does she look like?"
Cai Hong wasn't against hiring a nanny, but she was worried that if she found a young and pretty one who was always around her husband, it would be dangerous.
"You know what, I live in the same hospital as her."
At this point, Wang Qiang paused deliberately.
"Hey, come sit here and have a drink of water."
Seeing this, Cai Hong asked Wang Qiang to sit down and poured him a glass of water.
"This Lou Xiao'e comes from a capitalist family. She was spoiled since childhood and never did any work. Her skin is so tender, just like a peeled egg."
Wang Qiang's words sent a chill down Cai Hong's spine.
"She's never done any housework before, how could she possibly be a nanny?"
"That's all in the past. Maybe she can still do it now. Besides, isn't she Xu Damao's wife?"
Although Cai Hong was unwilling to accept this fact, she still tried her best to explain.
"Oh, you didn't know? They got divorced."
Wang Qiang's words were like a bombshell, leaving Cai Hong completely bewildered.
What's going on?
