Chapter 37: The Stick Stealer

Oh my god, this smell is so tempting.

Jia Zhang looked around the room and saw that Jia Dongxu had gone somewhere after dinner, while Qin Huairu took the pasted matchboxes to the street office to deliver the goods.

Jia Zhang rolled her eyes and called over Bang Geng, who was playing with stones nearby, and said:

"Bang Geng, do you want to eat chicken?"

Bang Geng's eyes lit up when he heard this, and he said impatiently:

"Grandma, I want to eat chicken. I haven't eaten chicken for a long time."

Jia Zhang touched the stick's head and comforted him:

"Bang Geng, let me tell you something. Take a bowl and scoop out a few pieces of chicken from the casserole outside Sha Zhu's house. Let's do it secretly, and if we move quickly, no one will notice."

The old pious woman Jia Zhang was so shameless that she directly instigated Bang Geng to steal a chicken just to get some food.

In her opinion, if a child takes something out of greed, it doesn't count as stealing, and even if he gets caught, the worst that can happen is a few scoldings.

Banggeng was only five years old at the time, but he was already showing signs of going astray. After hearing what Jia Zhang said, he was not afraid, but instead was eager to try.

The two hit it off immediately. Jia Zhang immediately stood up and took a bowl from the cupboard. However, she thought it was too small, so she replaced it with a large soup bowl and gave it to Bang Geng.

Banggeng understood what he meant and ran out of the door immediately.

To say this is a great joke shows that he has the talent of a thief.

He walked all the way to the coal stove in Sha Zhu's house but didn't make any sound.

After looking around to make sure there was no one around, he quickly opened the casserole, took the ladle beside him and spooned the chicken from the casserole into the bowl one spoonful at a time.

Jia Zhang originally wanted to steal some without being discovered, but Bang Geng didn't think so and only took the ones with more meat.

Remove the wing tips, neck, claws and chicken head.

The local chicken was not big to begin with and was scooped up by the sticks so that there was almost no meat left.

After fishing it out, Bang Geng was still a little unsatisfied. He was so naughty that he spat into the casserole and then ran home triumphantly.
