Chapter 273 Dating

"It's the new China now, so be more casual. The sooner you write, the sooner you can earn money."

"Alright, you stay put, I'll talk to you later."

"Hey, you little rascal." The third uncle shook his head, and seeing that Wang Shouren didn't seem to be in any trouble, he ignored him.

Wang Shouren slowly walked into his house; the weather was getting colder and colder.

Actually, he really enjoyed going outside in the winter, bundled up in thick clothes, from the warmth of the house, and shivering in the cold wind. For some reason, he found it incredibly comfortable. He disliked summer; it was too hot.

I pushed open the door to my home, accompanied by a biting wind.

It was three in the afternoon, the sun was warm, and Qin Huairu was sitting in the hall. A document was on the table in front of her, and she was writing something with a pen in her hand. She wasn't dressed too warmly inside; her well-fitting sweater accentuated her shapely figure. A slight breeze seemed to have warmed her.

Looking up, she saw Wang Shouren standing at the door, staring straight at her.

She rolled her eyes: "If you're back, come in quickly. Don't just stand there like an idiot. The heat in the room will dissipate in a moment."

Wang Shouren walked in, but he didn't close the door. Instead, he turned around, picked up Qin Huairu's coat, walked over, and draped it over her shoulders.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"Come for a walk with me."

"Where are you going? I'm busy right now," Qin Huairu said, puzzled.

"Come on... Sister." Wang Shouren gently blew a warm breath into her ear.

Qin Huairu shuddered suddenly, her body went limp, and he pulled her up.

I put my clothes on and he pulled me out of the room. Once outside, the cold wind woke me up.

However, there's a Chinese saying: "Since we're already here."

Now that I'm out here, I don't want to go back.

Moreover, that "sister" made her feel wonderful.

"I haven't taken my gloves yet."

Wang Shouren did not turn around to get the gloves, but instead took her hand, led her outside.

This action made Qin Huairu pause for a moment, and she tried to break free.

Holding hands, a perfectly normal gesture between many couples, was something Qin Huairu had rarely experienced in her many years of life. As for the Jia family, it goes without saying; every day awaited her endless housework and constant complaints and insults. And in the more than ten years she had been with Wang Shouren, the only time they had truly spent together was on dark and windy nights.

Later, as everyone found out, she went to Qin Family Village and became its village chief.

There's no time for that now.

Suddenly, Wang Shouren took her hand. She felt a little uncomfortable, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

She followed behind Wang Shouren with her head down, seemingly afraid to look up. She didn't dare to face the neighbors nearby. From the perspective of current universal values, she wasn't exactly honorable; otherwise, she wouldn't have gone to Qin Family Village.

With his head down, Wang Shouren stopped. Before she could even look, the two of them bumped into each other.

"Hiss." Wang gasped. "Sister, don't you watch where you're going?"

"Stop pretending," Qin Huairu said irritably. "How are you feeling? Don't I know you're not going to hurt me. I didn't even use any force."

"Then you have to watch where you're going. Come on, your husband will take you out to play today." Wang Shouren happily took Qin Huairu's hand again.

Qin Huairu was taken aback. This time, she didn't lower her head, although her eyes still darted away. Sometimes, she actually resisted chatting with people she knew well. Ever since people found out, she had been subconsciously avoiding certain things.

However, today, Wang Shouren led her outside.

He walked out openly, holding her hand, looking exactly like the loving couple she had imagined.

"Hey, you're going out again so soon after you get back?" the third uncle greeted him cheerfully.

“Yes, Third Uncle, let’s go out for a stroll with my Huairu,” Wang Shouren replied cheerfully.

He took Qin Huairu's hand and they didn't go to any tourist attractions or restaurants. They just strolled around the neighborhood slowly. Qin Huairu had walked this road many times, but she had never stopped to take a good look at it before.

Whenever Wang Shouren came to a spot he thought was beautiful, he would stop and share with her the fun things there.

“Do you remember this tree? Back then, when I came out of that alley, I hugged you, and you were quite startled.” Wang Shouren pointed to a tree at the entrance of the alley, of unknown species. At this moment, the branches were bare, and the twigs were covered with snow. With the slightest shake, a large amount of snow would fall off with a clatter.

Qin Huairu certainly remembered this road; it was one of the few times she and Wang Shouren could walk together outside.

Wang Shouren gets off work late, while she gets off work early.

Wang Shouren always took the small path, while she took the main road. Every time Wang Shouren came out of the small path, she would walk a short distance along the same road as Qin Huairu. That period was also the happiest time of her life.

In fact, whether it is a man or a woman, no matter what age they are, they all have a childlike heart.

She was overjoyed to have walked this path with Wang Shouren, and even more so because Wang Shouren, to this day, had walked this path with her again, hand in hand, openly and honestly in front of their neighbors. Without concealment, without hesitation, her eyes welled up slightly. Only she herself knew how much torment she had endured.

The two walked hand in hand from their home to the road leading to the steel mill, then from the mill to the nearby grove, and from there they walked step by step. Wang Shouren held Qin Huairu's hand tightly, never letting go. They stood on the small hillside beside the grove, watching the last rays of the setting sun.

Wang Shouren turned his head and looked at Qin Huairu's rosy cheeks in the afterglow.

He opened his mouth and said, "Huai Ru."

"Hmm." Qin Huairu turned her head and looked at him.

Two pairs of eyes looked at each other.

At this moment, silence speaks louder than words, and Wang Shouren slowly approached her.

Her heart was pounding, a feeling completely different from when she was sleeping.

She felt as if she had returned to her adolescence, and the intense love she had for her lover was awakened at that moment.

Their lips touched, and they closed their eyes.

At that moment, her body trembled uncontrollably; she felt herself enveloped by an invisible, intangible warmth. She greedily craved this warmth…
