Wind and rain
The "Who is the undercover agent?" game lasted for nearly five minutes amidst a bunch of nonsense.
Fortunately, Yu Nianxi finally encountered a bottleneck.
Personally, I think the red one tastes better?
Xi Ai immediately nudged Chu Yiqi's arm, and the two looked at each other, unsure who would burst out laughing first.
"Who is the undercover agent? It's so hard to guess."
"I don't know either?"
Nie Chuiying dropped the pretense and said, "Please, little Yu Nianxi, leave!"
Yu Nianxi laid her cards on the table, standing up angrily: "I knew someone was coffee, but I didn't dare bet!"
“It’s okay, baby, you can go heat up the grill first.” Meng Yike tried to comfort Yu Nianxi, but her words sounded harsh no matter how she spoke.
Yu Nianxi pursed her lips, something felt very off about those words, but the gentle and kind-hearted Yu Nianxi never held it against them, especially when a formidable enemy was at hand.
We must unite all forces that can be united.
"Captain, you must defeat Xi Ai and Chu Yiqi!"
"I'll try my best, goodbye baby."
After Yu Nianxi left, Chu Yiqi said with a smile, "Xixi is just a baby."
"At an age where you can't keep secrets," Xi Ai said with a smile, resting her chin on her hand. "Make up some more nonsense."
"Alright, alright, stop talking, even though Xixi can't hear you anymore." Nie Chuiying didn't let her off the hook either.
After eliminating the three undercover agents, Lina finally let them go and led the three survivors into the courtyard.
"This time it's simple, whoever fails to catch it goes back."
Chu Yiqi, holding the pink wooden stick, asked Lina, "Can you give me a spoiler about what happens next?"
“Of course.” Lina’s smile was particularly malicious. “We all like small animals, so…”
"All right."
Xi Ai finally stood there, forming a perfect equilateral triangle.
Meng Yike: "I'll call out the numbers and then release them all at once."
"OK."
Lina said ominously, "No, we've already found some music."
"Lina, you..."
"How can someone with a body temperature of 37 degrees Celsius say such a thing?"
Lina threatened, half-jokingly: "Now I'm the director."
"Okay, okay."
"Okay, we can begin."
The music started with two very tight drumbeats, and the three of them were in a flurry of activity. Xi Ai almost missed the catch, but luckily she managed to pull herself back from the brink.
There was no sound for a long time, but the three of them were unusually tense, staring intently at the hand of the person in front of them, as if they were about to rush up and snatch it at the first sound.
"I feel like I'm fighting for the Tiger Seal." Chu Yiqi spoke very quickly, as if afraid that saying even half a word more would distract him.
Meng Yike said, "Three sons vie for the throne."
"My God, what a primitive way to steal!" Xi Ai sometimes has an exceptional talent for making jokes, "They fight covertly, and you just openly rob them?"
Chu Yiqi: "The finest ingredients often require only the simplest cooking methods!"
Chu Yiqi almost didn't finish his sentence.
A rapid drumbeat sounded, and Chu Yiqi quickly reached out to grab it, but Meng Yike grabbed it back at that moment. Then, just as Chu Yiqi panicked, she suddenly let go and gave him a hard push.
Chu Yiqi: "..."
Xi Ai looked over and saw that the wooden stick she had just gotten her hands on had inexplicably slipped out of her grasp.
Clang...
Both sticks landed at the same time.
"Meng Yike, you've changed..."
Meng Yike said, "All warfare is based on deception."
And just a moment ago, she did have the same thought as Yu Nianxi, wanting to see them both leave the field together.
While it wouldn't be a bad thing if Meng Yike were eliminated, it would mean they wouldn't be able to observe the scene firsthand.
Chu Yiqi stood listlessly next to Xi Ai and said, "I'm fed up."
"Then you're not a good soldier."
Chu Yiqi: "Is this the kind of word you're supposed to use?"
Xi Ai spoke calmly from the side, her tone completely devoid of any negative emotions from losing the game, but rather with an inexplicable schadenfreude: "What a pity, Teacher Chu, it seems we have no choice but to leave together."
"You're not..."
Xi Ai lied with exceptional skill and without batting an eye: "My hand slipped; I was a little nervous."
Chu Yiqi remained silent for a long time: "You know that it will be exposed when it airs, right?"
Xi Ai's words carried a hidden meaning: "So you knew?"
"cough……"
"Your screams were just too scary."
Xi Ai chuckled, making up excuses for herself in a very half-hearted way.
Chu Yiqi didn't want to speak at all.
"Why didn't you just give Meng Yike a push?"
Xi Ai didn't want to tell the truth, so she started talking nonsense again: "It's already been sent out, and it can't be brought back."
"Alright."
"And if the whole army is wiped out, we have to start all over again."
Chu Yiqi thought about it and realized that it would indeed be more interesting to prepare something for someone like Xi Ai who was a little afraid of cats.
Lina gathered the sticks together and said, "That's fine then. Would it be alright if Teacher Meng could take the little ones to play by herself for a while?"
When Meng Yike saw another assistant leading several cats and dogs over, she suddenly stopped what she was doing, and her mouth twitched.
One, two, three, four...
Who's outmaneuvering whom?
Chu Yiqi and Xi Ai exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes full of smiles, and ran into the house without saying a word.
"Meng Yike wishes you good luck."
"Go, Captain! The only survivor!"
The two shouted and laughed. Meng Yike shook her head and took the four tow ropes.
"Chu Yiqi, could you pass me the food?"
Which dish?
Xi Ai looked over there and said, "Mushrooms, I guess."
"Okay." Chu Yiqi sliced lotus root and handed over a small bowl.
Our fingertips touched briefly; both were cool and wet.
Do you need my help?
Chu Yiqi looked at her and said without ceremony, "Come and wash the vegetables, let's eat noodles."
"Okay, Teacher Chu."
After washing the vegetables, Xi Ai didn't even bother to dry her hands. She calmly turned around, then suddenly turned to splash water on Chu Yiqi's face. Chu Yiqi, however, seemed to have anticipated this, and cheerfully grabbed Xi Ai's wrist.
Xi Ai's plan failed, but she didn't think much of it. She just laughed along with Chu Yiqi, then lowered her eyes, glanced at Chu Yiqi's hand, and kissed Chu Yiqi's wrist.
A touch of warmth fell on the old scars, causing a slight itch, but thankfully it had long since outweighed the pain.
Chu Yiqi paused for a moment, then withdrew his hand and said, "Alright, Teacher Xi, go and put the vegetables in."
"Okay."
"Could you please take this out for me as well, thank you."
Xi Ai took it casually, and the sound of her fingernails tapping on the basin was particularly sobering.
"Who should I thank?"
Chu Yiqi glanced at the camera. In that fleeting moment, she did think of some strikingly similar scenes, but she quickly suppressed them without leaving a trace. She said, "Thank you, sub-vocalist."
“This is not good.” Xi Ai pressed her advantage.
"..."
Chu Yiqi, in a good-natured manner, switched off another form of address: "Thank you, Teacher Xi."
Goodbye, Teacher Chu.
Yu Nianxi was secretly texting Meng Yike.
[West Coast: So who lost first?]
[Sleepyhead: I tricked Qiqi; Xi Ai deliberately lost.]
[West Coast: Are you okay?]
[West Coast: Cat Peeking Out.jpg]
[Sleepyhead: I'm not feeling well at all.]
Yu Nianxi glanced at the camera, then turned her back to slack off.
[Sleepyhead: Lina's husky is walking me.]
[West Coast: ? Good luck to you. I love the kitchen, I love preparing food.]
[Sleepyhead: You'll never get enough to eat.]
[West Coast: I'd rather be a stuffed glutton; even as a ghost, I'd be dashing, better than being worked to death.]
[Sleepyhead: Goodbye, I'm going to sleep now.]
When Xi Ai returned, she stood by the door looking at Chu Yiqi.
Chu Yiqi changed into this outfit after returning today. It was an off-the-shoulder dress with ruffles hanging down, and the long sleeves were folded twice but still loose and casual.
Xi Ai's gaze lingered on Chu Yiqi's seven-centimeter height-increasing shoes for a moment before she said, "Teacher Chu, why are you secretly wearing height-increasing shoes?"
"I've already covered it up with wide-leg jeans, just pretend you didn't see it."
“I have already seen it.”
Chu Yiqi was being unreasonable. He turned around to look at Xi Ai, put one hand on his hip, and said, "Then you cover your eyes and shut down and restart."
Xi Ai smiled and took a few steps forward. At this moment, their positions were remarkably close to being in the same instant—
-
Xi Ai threw the washed vegetables into the pot, and then childishly buried them with noodles.
Chu Yiqi took a half step back, comfortably crossing her arms as she looked at Xi Ai. Even after spending so much time together, Chu Yiqi still had to admit that she was a complete uniform fetishist, especially fond of looking at Xi Ai in shirts and suits.
Today was no exception, but the innocent and harmless Teacher Chu would never have imagined that this was a black shirt that Xi Ai had stared at the wardrobe for a long time before deciding on, carefully tucking in the hem of the shirt and choosing the most stylish belt.
Xi Ai turned around, looking at Chu Yiqi with a half-smile: "Do I have bugs on me, that's why you've been staring at me?"
Chu Yiqi coughed lightly, turned her head away, and said, "No."
These kinds of people know perfectly well, but they pretend not to know, then expose you openly or secretly, and make you indirectly admit it too. They're so annoying.
Xi Ai followed up with, "So you're looking at me?"
Chu Yiqi turned her head away and said, "No, just spacing out."
As she spoke, Xi Ai looked at Chu Yiqi with a smile. After a moment, Chu Yiqi could no longer avoid her gaze.
So what if I saw it!
Just watch!
Chu Yiqi turned around and looked at Xi Ai's face, which was that of a social elite but also a scoundrel. Then he silently looked at Xi Ai's clothes.
For a fleeting moment, Chu Yiqi considered a possibility—Xi Ai had done it on purpose.
However, perhaps Teacher Xi was too serious and frank, and Chu Yiqi felt that she was overthinking things.
In short, Chu Yiqi watched for a while, then leaned over and kissed Xi Ai, smelling the fragrance of mugwort in her hair.
"Even if I did see it, so what?"
How it is or isn't important, anyway, Xi Ai quite enjoyed it.
She nodded and said, "Of course not, whatever makes you happy."
After dinner, Xi Ai washed the dishes. After washing them, she came back and sat down next to Chu Yiqi. The two of them set up a table on the soft, deep sofa, but Xi Ai mainly used it to set up her computer.
Chu Yiqi, holding the tablet, leaned against Xi Ai's shoulder.
Xi Ai carefully folded her sleeves twice, revealing a silver bracelet on her wrist that stood out prominently. The bracelet was a string of butterflies, representing the entire spring, as well as the irreversible storm that followed the flapping of wings.
Chu Yiqi looked at it and suddenly remembered that when this bracelet was photographed, someone said it was a token of love.
Chu Yiqi simply propped the tablet up on the table, then reached out and hooked his finger on Xi Ai's bracelet, so naturally, the heart-shaped bracelet, sparkling with light, touched the butterfly.
-
"Was the pork belly not cut?"
Xi Ai snapped back to her senses and glanced at her wrist—she wasn't wearing anything.
"No."
"Where should we put it?"
Xi Ai handed a bag of meat to Chu Yiqi: "You're welcome."
"You're welcome."
Xi Ai glanced at the ingredients and asked Chu Yiqi, "I see chicken, do you want some?"
"Nonsense." Chu Yiqi didn't even turn her head. "I heard everything. Xi Ai said she's not eating."
Xi Ai turned her head and glared at Chu Yiqi. Then she heard Yu Nianxi's laughter, sighed, and said, "Did you all hear that? Teacher Chu said he wanted to bake eggs."
Yu Nianxi said, "I didn't hear that."
"Tch, to be honest, this time is different from last time. Don't you really want to give it a try?"
Chu Yiqi turned around and saw Xi Ai pick out a yellow object.
The last time they went out to sea, on that small island, Xi Ai asked her the same question: "Really not going to give it a try?"
Chu Yiqi nodded: "Okay."
The result of nodding was that Xi Ai's skills were exceptionally poor; after baking only half of it, almost nothing was left on the wire rack.
It's especially bad for your eyes when it sticks to them.
Chu Yiqi tried it herself later. That time she put paper underneath and it still managed to take shape, but she didn't know if it was because she was missing someone or because it wasn't that person who baked it, so it didn't taste good.
The taste is a bit strange.
