The arrival of Grandma Wu and Li Jingjing was both a sweet surprise and a burden for Xu Lin.
It would be great if someone could help take care of the child and share their childcare experience, but Xu Lin had to hide the diapers and change them into cloth diapers.
They told them the milk powder was left by Wang Jing. They had also collected a few buckets of it when they were collecting supplies, which barely managed to fool them. Otherwise, Xiao Youyou would have had to drink rice cereal.
Wang Jing had previously told Xu Lin when the baby was born, and Xu Lin calculated that Xiao Youyou would be a month old soon.

At the dinner table, three men discussed current events, while Grandma Wu held little Youyou with obvious affection. Xu Lin and Li Jingjing chatted about everyday things, discussing what foods were suitable to grow in the current cold weather. Shuke and Beta dozed off on the sofa, creating a harmonious scene.

As the meal was drawing to a close, Shuke and Beta suddenly jumped up and rushed to Xu Lin and Zhou Pin's side. Having survived the apocalypse for several years, they reacted quickly and stood up from the table.
“It’s a cold wave!” Sun Wei said.
"Zhou Pin, go check the stove. I'll go to the storage room to get some warm clothes. Aunt Wu, you and Jingjing hold the baby tight. Sun Wei, you and Uncle Sun, close the doors and windows tightly. Shuke and Beta, go stay in your nests." Xu Lin gave a series of instructions.
After listening to Xu Lin's words, everyone went their separate ways. Because there were more children in the house, a stove was lit in the living room, and Zhou Pin continued to add firewood to it. This firewood was the one that Han Liu had exchanged for with points before.
Li Jingjing and Grandma Wu carried Xiao Youyou to the stove, Sun Wei and his uncle checked if the doors and windows were closed tightly, and Xu Lin went to the storage room on the first floor.
The storage room was just a smokescreen. Xu Lin quickly took out bedding, military coats, and masks from her spatial storage and then went to the living room to distribute them to everyone.
The group acted quickly, and as soon as they put on their military overcoats, they felt a chill instantly wash over them, as if their faces were covered with a layer of ice—warm on the inside and cool on the outside.
Xu Lin and Zhou Pin couldn't go to the space, so they wore military coats, masks, and gloves just like everyone else. The moment the cold wave hit, Zhou Pin pulled Xu Lin into his arms.
Even so, Xu Lin still felt as if she had been doused with cold water.
About 20 minutes later, Xu Lin heard Zhou Pin's voice from above.
"Are you alright?"
"It's alright, not bad," Xu Lin said.
The two slowly separated. Grandma Wu was holding Xiao Youyou, Sun Wei was holding Li Jingjing, and the funniest one was Minister Sun, who was wearing a military overcoat and holding two Shuke and Beta, who were almost as big as him and wrapped in cotton blankets.
This scene is a bit too much for my eyes.
Seeing Xu Lin and Zhou Pin make some movements, everyone stretched out a bit as well. As they did so, they felt a chill emanating from within, and they all gasped in shock.
Xu Lin quickly went to check on Xiao Youyou.
