Chapter 337 Automobile

Then the three of them opened the front and rear doors of the car respectively.

The search of the car yielded two cans of gasoline, a box of jewelry, a box of cash, a box of gold, a laptop (out of power), some new clothes and bedding, and daily necessities. Apart from the two cans of gasoline, toothpaste, toothbrush, and toilet paper, which made Minister Sun somewhat happy, he didn't even bother to look at the rest.

Although gold, jewelry, and cash are useless in the apocalypse, they are useful to Xu Lin. Her space hasn't been upgraded in a long time and is starving.

Xu Lin and Zhou Pin moved the things to the car. Minister Sun inspected the car, determined the reason for the breakdown, and found that the problem was not too serious.

The explanation for the three skulls is now clear: the three people were fleeing and drove into the no-man's-land when their car broke down. They got out and walked, and tragically died a few kilometers from the oasis.

There are too many things like this in the apocalypse; sighing is no longer useful.

"I'd like to bring my tools next time to fix the car," Minister Sun said, crawling out from under the car.

Sun Wei and his team only had one flatbed cart. In the past few years since the apocalypse, vehicles have become extremely rare, so Minister Sun wouldn't give up on a cart that wasn't in too bad a condition.

Xu Lin and Zhou Pin certainly had no objections, since their partners had readily available tools, which would significantly reduce their burden.

The three got back into the car and prepared to return to the oasis to collect supplies.

Shuke, who had come running up panting, was completely bewildered when Xu Lin pulled him into the car and drove him back.

"Oh dear, I forgot about Shuke. He actually followed us here. Come on, let's go back." Xu Lin said, stroking Shuke's head.

Shuke: Hey hey hey, I just got here, haven't seen the excitement yet, don't want to leave yet.

The trip was fruitful; putting everything else aside, those two cans of gasoline alone were worth it. The three men beamed with smiles, except for Shuke, who had made a wasted trip.

Back at the lake, the three continued collecting supplies. The weather in the no-man's-land was unpredictable, so they had to collect as much as possible now, otherwise they wouldn't be able to risk collecting supplies if the weather changed.

Just as the three were enthusiastically collecting supplies, a strange gust of wind suddenly blew by, filling their mouths with sand. They immediately sensed something was wrong.

Having already heard about the no-man's-land from Minister Sun on the way, the three of them immediately returned to the campsite by the lake.

As soon as they entered the makeshift refuge tent, a sandstorm swept through the area.

This operation was made possible thanks to Minister Sun's experienced guidance; otherwise, Xu Lin and Zhou Pin would have had to hide in the space.

The sandstorm didn't stop for an hour, and the three of them were blown about inside the tent.

The tent was tied to the car and surrounded by several large rocks, and since all three people were crammed inside, it wasn't blown away.

Zhou Pin unzipped the tent a little, and sand immediately came in. It seemed that the only way out was through the top of the tent.

When the three of them crawled out with their mouths full of sand, they saw a tent and a car that were half buried in sand.

The collected supplies were buried under the sand long ago because there wasn't enough time to gather them together.

They were as happy when they arrived as they are now in a sorry state.

However, these things were nothing to those who had experienced the apocalypse. The three of them were busy with their own things: Zhou Pin packed up the tent, Xu Lin rummaged through the car, and Minister Sun dug up supplies.

It was completely dark by the time the three of them finished cleaning, and due to poor lighting, they had to wait until dawn to continue.

That night, the three of them squeezed into a tent and took turns keeping watch.

The next day, around 4 a.m., as dawn was breaking, the three redistributed their tasks. Xu Lin stayed behind to continue digging for vehicles and supplies, while Zhou Pin and Minister Sun went out to collect supplies.
