Chapter 57 Summer Desserts

"Not going out with them for the next few days is inhuman work," Xu Lin wailed in her room while taking a bath. She planned to sleep in until she naturally woke up tomorrow.

She slept until 11 a.m. the next day. Sure enough, waking up naturally was the most comfortable. She stretched and turned up the almost extinguished charcoal fire in the stove. Xu Lin hummed a song as she went into the space to wash up.

After washing up, Xu Lin took out a scallion pancake. The room was warm and cozy. If it were before the apocalypse, with snowflakes falling outside, Xu Lin would probably have ice cream.

Ice cream? Yes, it's so cold that we can't cook elaborate dishes, but we can stock up on ice cream and desserts for summer! There are also plenty of dessert-making tools and ingredients in the space!

Xu Lin took out sago, milk, mango, coconut milk, and condensed milk from her space to make sago pudding. She put the finished product in a large bucket and also divided it into dozens of disposable cups like those in milk tea shops before storing it in the food storage room in her space.

After making the sago pudding, I took out mung beans, rock sugar, and other ingredients to make mung bean soup. After that, it turned into a shaved ice at room temperature.

Take out lemons, kumquats, passion fruit, oranges, and rock sugar from the space. Wash the fruit thoroughly, pour it into a pot of boiling water, add the rock sugar, cook until done, pour it into a mold, and then place it outside the kitchen window. It will freeze solid in a while. Unmold it and put it back into the space.

Xu Lin makes succulent grapes with grape juice, grapes, honey, yogurt, and ice. She actually has quite a few milk teas in the space, but she still wants to make her own to pass the time. She feels anxious whenever she has free time, and she feels uncomfortable if she doesn't stock up on supplies.

Xu Lin busied herself preparing iced porridge, jelly, ice cream, plum juice, and other desserts in an orderly fashion. Watching each dessert being packed into storage boxes and moved into her space, Xu Lin felt incredibly satisfied.

Busy times always fly by. It was already dark when I finished making the plum juice. I took out a boxed lunch from my space and ate it. Since it got cold, Xu Lin stopped cooking. I have to ask Zhou Pin to go to a farmhouse restaurant another day and make some more boxed lunches.

After dinner, I prepared a fruit platter for myself and ate it while watching TV.

Xu Lin felt that she had some psychological problems. Perhaps it was because she had experienced an apocalypse. She was always very anxious and had a hoarding habit. If she didn't hoard things, she felt like she would starve to death.

So when she's not busy, she watches TV series and reads books to calm her mind and let things settle down.

In the apocalypse, most people have psychological problems to some extent, and Xu Lin can only try her best to control and guide herself.

After watching two episodes of "Empresses in the Palace," Xu Lin put down her tablet and prepared to rest. She had already skipped practice today, and she couldn't afford to take another day off tomorrow.

Speaking of sparring, the results over the past month have been remarkable. He can now hold his own against Zhou Pin for a dozen or twenty moves, and given time, escaping from Zhou Pin's clutches will not be a problem.

After observing him for a while, Xu Lin found Zhou Pin to be a good partner. They worked well together, and he was able to remind her of things she hadn't thought of. Xu Lin felt that Zhou Pin was her biggest gain since her rebirth, besides her space.

It's unclear what Zhou Pin himself would think if he knew Xu Lin's evaluation of him. At this moment, he was taking a shower, having just finished training with the two kids and was covered in sweat.

Water droplets dripped from his hair down his chest and then meandered down his abdominal muscles. Years of training had given him exceptionally well-defined muscles that would make anyone's nose bleed.

Xu Lin had already fallen asleep while holding her tablet. Although she hadn't gone out to find supplies, making desserts all day was still very tiring.

At 7:30 in the morning, Xu Lin stretched her hands out of the quilt, then went to her space to wash up, get dressed, and knock on the door of 801.

"Let's go to the timber processing plant today," Xu Lin said to Zhou Pin while eating.
