Chapter 73 Sunshine Building 4

The 26th floor is the branch of a major international personal care brand in Gangcheng. Xu Lin set aside enough supplies for everyone for three years and took the rest.

The two arrived at the 25th floor, where Zheng Ming and Wang Jing had already finished collecting and left. Xu Lin checked to see if any items had slipped through the net. To get downstairs as quickly as possible, Zhou Pin went to the 24th floor to find what he needed in advance, so he could collect it directly when Xu Lin arrived.

The two worked together to reach the 8th floor. Everyone sat down to rest on the restaurant chairs. Xiao Zhi had also woken up. Xu Lin glanced at her watch; it was four o'clock in the afternoon.

"Is there a lot of stuff up there? You two were gone for a long time," Wang Jing asked.

"No, the top three floors are all science museums. Some of the things there are quite interesting, and I spent a little time looking at them," Xu Lin explained.

"You have amazing stamina, I'm exhausted," Wang Jing said while massaging her legs.

"If you exercise more regularly, at least you can run away if you can't win a fight. Things aren't very peaceful right now."

“Aunt Ji is right, we should exercise more to improve our physical fitness,” Sun Wei agreed.

The collected items were all piled together; there was everything imaginable: toiletries, pet supplies, children's products, thermal wear, outdoor gear, snacks, and more—it was quite a sight.

The people, who had been starving for a long time, were overjoyed to see so many supplies, but their smiles quickly faded.

“There’s a lot of stuff, all sorts of things, but how to get it back is a problem. There’s bound to be robbery along the way,” Li Jingjing pointed out the key issue.

“There’s a newly developed vacant building nearby. We can store the supplies there and slowly transport them back,” Xu Lin said.

"That's a good idea. Should we stock up on more now?"

"We can split into two groups, one to continue searching for supplies and the other to transport them back, that would be safer."

"To prevent disputes, each household can send one person to transport the supplies back, while the rest of the people search for supplies."

Should we sort them before shipping them back or after shipping them back?

"Let's collect them all before we take them back; there's nowhere to put them all if we take them all back at once!"

Everyone discussed it animatedly, and it has to be said that three heads are better than one; they came up with what is currently a complete solution.

First, the supplies were divided up. The women from each household were responsible for collecting the supplies and placing them in the vacant buildings, while the men were responsible for transportation. The two children stayed here. Ms. Dai collected the supplies with everyone, and the men transported them back with her. She needed to share some of the supplies with the people who helped her transport them.

Xu Lin and Zhou Pin decided not to take the supplies back yet, but to collect them together. Everyone agreed, as Zhou Pin could also protect the ladies' safety.

The restaurant has small trolleys, probably for receiving goods and taking out the trash. It's convenient for the men to each carry one, saving them energy.

Actually, there are small trolleys on each floor, but since everyone has to use the stairs to move supplies, the trolleys aren't very useful. However, Xu Lin doesn't care about this issue and just stores them in her space. She can never have too many tools.

After discussing the division of labor, they started distributing supplies. It was basically distributed per person, and if there were not enough people, they would distribute according to the actual situation. For example, Zeiss and Lao Liu would receive more children's products if they had children at home, and more health products if they had elderly people at home. Everyone discussed and agreed on the arrangements, which is why Xu Lin was willing to team up with everyone and help them occasionally.

After dividing the supplies, the group decided to send a batch back overnight. Darkness was the best cover, and they would feel safest with so many supplies at home.

"Don't take the same route every time, or you'll attract unwanted attention," Zhou Pin advised.

“You’re right. I almost forgot. Also, we leave one person to guard the place every time we go back, just in case our hideout gets raided,” Old Liu said.

“That’s right, it’s a good opportunity for you all to take turns resting,” Zhang Min said.
