Xu Lin served the last dish, and Zhou Pin returned home from get off work.
"You got off work a little late today, were you very busy?"
"Fortunately, I recently took on a project."
"Take care of yourself. We don't live off a salary."
"I don't want to rely on my looks to make a living!"

The next day, Zhou Pin went to work, and Xu Lin took out the soaked seeds and started planting them. They were planted in one morning. The temperature was around 45℃, which most people could bear, and wearing a temperature-controlled garment had no effect at all.
In the afternoon, Xu Lin planted vegetables in the space again, keeping one pound of seeds and planting the rest.
Zhou Pin came home late again that evening. The two of them had dinner and sat on the second-floor terrace chatting. There were two chairs and a small coffee table on the terrace.
"Have some watermelon to cool off." Xu Lin handed Zhou Pin a slice of watermelon.
"What have you been busy with today?" Zhou Pin asked, taking a bite of watermelon.
"I've planted vegetables in the backyard and in the space, and I've also fed the farm animals."
"You had a lot of work to do today. What are your plans for tomorrow?"
"Let's continue farming tomorrow. We agreed before that we'd develop the space once we've settled down at the base. The wheat grown in the space is almost ripe; you should be able to harvest it during your next break." Xu Lin took out a bag of hand-shredded duck necks and started eating.
"We'll use combine harvesters to harvest it, and it'll be done quickly."
"After this harvest, we can plant peanuts, sorghum, red beans, mung beans..." Xu Lin started counting on her fingers.
Over the next few days, the two went their separate ways. Zhou Pin went to work while Xu Lin stayed home to raise chickens and farm. The dogs would leave before dawn and return after dark.
While Zhou Pin was resting, the two harvested the wheat and corn in the space. Looking at the piles of grain in the space, Xu Lin showed a happy smile.
Space preservation means that even if the newly harvested grain hasn't been threshed, it can be threshed when needed.
That day, Xu Lin was inside eating half a watermelon when Beta came in, grabbed Xu Lin's trouser leg, and tried to pull her outside.
"What's wrong?" Xu Lin followed Beta.
"Woof! Woof woof!" Come quick, there's something good.
Xu Lin followed Beta all the way to a small mound not far from the base. She hadn't noticed it from a distance, but as she got closer, she realized that there was a strange stone on the mound.
Where is this?
"Woof woof woof!" Let's go inside and take a look.
Xu Lin moved the stone aside and removed the steel plate underneath, revealing a hole, which should be a cellar.
Xu Lin took out a powerful flashlight and shone it inside. Shu Ke was actually inside. He was quite excited to see Xu Lin and kept gesturing for her to come down.
Xu Lin jumped into the cave, while Beta stayed at the entrance to keep watch. Shuke circled around her as if seeking praise.
"Human, look at the surprise we've prepared for you! Praise me, compliment me, and give me a hug!"
