Chapter 216 Jade Hairpin

"Chief Gu, your pack of dogs has truly opened my eyes today. I never expected that even one of your dogs would be so powerful. I am ashamed to admit that I am no match for them," the Qingyun Sect disciple praised.

I thought only that one dog was powerful, but I never expected that they were all so powerful. It's unbelievable.

My God, do these dogs have some kind of special constitution? They are all incredibly powerful. I just can't figure it out.

That's so enviable! I'm not even as well off as a dog. Dogs have such good lives!

"No need to be envious. If you want, you can too. I'll pass on some of my skills to you when I have time," Gu Changqing said nonchalantly.

"Is Chief Gu saying he's going to pass on his skills to me? I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my ears," the Qingyun Sect disciple said with a puzzled look.

"Yes, you heard me right. Just don't forget how hard I've worked. And if there's anything good, just don't forget me." Gu Changqing said with a faint smile.

"Then I thank Chief Gu in advance. However, I don't have any treasures to give you at the moment, but I will definitely remember Chief Gu if I do in the future," the Qingyun Sect disciple replied sincerely.

"Okay, let's go back first," Gu Changqing said casually.

“Alright,” the Qingyun Sect disciple replied.

The two of them, along with the dogs, then quickly headed towards the sect.

Before long, they returned to their sect and headed to their respective residences.

Gu Changqing led the dogs back to the courtyard.

"You must abide by the sect's rules while you are in the sect. When I am not here, you must practice diligently in preparation for any eventuality," Gu Changqing instructed solemnly.

"Rest assured, Master, we will certainly not fail in our mission," the dogs replied.

Gu Changqing nodded in satisfaction after hearing this, and without saying anything more, he left the courtyard to find Qingcheng.

I hadn't gone far when I saw a slender woman walking towards me from afar.

Upon closer inspection, Gu Changqing realized that the woman was none other than Lady Qingcheng.

"Husband, you're back so soon? Did you have fun taking the dogs out to play?" Jiang Qingcheng walked up to Gu Changqing, smiling, and asked with great concern.

"They had a great time this time, but there were too many dogs. I was like a mother hen, worrying about them a lot," Gu Changqing said with a faint smile.

"If I had known it would be like this, I would have gone with you. I could have helped take care of things. But let's not talk about this anymore. I just finished cooking, let's go eat dinner quickly," Jiang Qingcheng said sincerely.

"Alright, oh, by the way, Qingcheng, I got something nice during my trip and I specially prepared it to give to you," Gu Changqing said with a slight smile.

As he spoke, a crystal-clear jade box appeared in his hand, looking exquisite and beautiful.

"Wow, this jade box is so exquisite. The contents inside must be even better. Thank you, my husband," Jiang Qingcheng said with great delight.

"Open it quickly and see if you like it," Gu Changqing said with a smile.

Jiang Qingcheng opened the jade box carefully yet impatiently.

A beautifully crafted jade hairpin appeared before my eyes, looking extremely noble and elegant.

Jiang Qingcheng held it in her hand and looked at it carefully again and again. She liked it very much and was reluctant to let go.

Seeing this, Gu Changqing smiled and inserted the jade hairpin into Jiang Qingcheng's hair.

In an instant, Jiang Qingcheng seemed like a completely different person. She looked radiant and full of energy, even more beautiful and captivating.

This jade hairpin is really nice; wearing it immediately makes me look different.

"Is it beautiful, my husband?" Jiang Qingcheng asked shyly.

"Beautiful, gorgeous, Qingcheng, you are so beautiful!" Gu Changqing couldn't help but drool when he saw you, and a flutter of excitement was stirring in his heart.

Without saying a word, he picked Jiang Qingcheng up and carried her into the house.

"Husband, we haven't had dinner yet," Jiang Qingcheng reminded him shyly.

"I'm not hungry, I won't eat, business is more important," Gu Changqing said with a mischievous grin.

This made Jiang Qingcheng even more shy. She buried herself in Gu Changqing's arms, her face flushed and hot, her heart pounding wildly.

A short while later, Gu Changqing carried Jiang Qingcheng into her boudoir.

That night, the moonlight shone before the bed, and two pairs of shoes lay on the floor. The two were intimate, pouring out their hearts to each other, like a young couple who had been separated for a long time. Their love needed no further explanation.

Several hours passed by, and the next morning, the clear and melodious chirping of magpies could be heard outside the window.

When Gu Changqing opened his eyes, Jiang Qingcheng was no longer on the bed.

"Where did Qingcheng go?" Gu Changqing murmured to himself.

So he lost his sleepiness, got dressed and got up, only to find that Jiang Qingcheng had already prepared a steaming hot breakfast.

"Good morning, my husband. I've just finished cooking. Come wash up and come eat," Jiang Qingcheng said with a gentle smile.

Gu Changqing nodded and obediently did as instructed.

The two then enjoyed a pleasant breakfast.

"We have nothing to do today, and it's so boring at the sect. How about we go out for a walk?" Jiang Qingcheng suggested after breakfast.

“Okay, we’re just killing time anyway, might as well go out and relax.” Gu Changqing smiled and agreed.

So the two of them flew freely through the clouds, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the world as they flew.

Looking into the distance, one sees that the towering clouds are actually composed of mist and fog, creating a mysterious and ever-changing atmosphere. Looking further down, the mountains below appear insignificant through the layers of mist, and the people seem as tiny as grains of sand or ants, not worth mentioning.

After an unknown amount of time, the two grew tired of flying and randomly landed in a city.

As soon as they landed, they saw that the streets on both sides were lined with small vendors. This was not unusual in itself, but what puzzled them was that they were all selling the same type of things, namely weapons and the like.

"Husband, this place is so strange, so deserted. There are hardly any passersby. All we've seen along the way are weapons for sale. There aren't many restaurants. It's a good thing people need to eat, otherwise we probably wouldn't even have a restaurant," Jiang Qingcheng said sullenly.

"I'm also puzzled, but since we're here, let's just wander around and ask around to find out what's going on," Gu Changqing said calmly, seemingly unconcerned.
