Chapter 378 Benefactor Becomes Master

"But I haven't figured out where to make a living. We, a widow and her child, don't know if we can survive," the woman in white continued.

"I do have an idea," Gu Changqing said with a faint smile. "If you don't have a suitable place to live, you can become my disciples and come with me to my Qingyun Sect. As long as I'm here, no one will dare to bully you anymore."

"Yes, that's a good suggestion." Jiang Qingcheng nodded in agreement.

"Can my son and I also become your disciples? If you are willing to take us as your students, that would be wonderful. Thank you so much for taking us as your students," the woman in white said with a face full of gratitude.

She felt like she had won the lottery today, with surprises coming one after another; it was truly incredible.

"Of course, besides, I have already passed on my skills to you today. Strictly speaking, you are my disciples. You should know that I don't usually pass on my skills to just anyone. I only pass them on to my disciples or people from my Qingyun Sect," Gu Changqing said seriously.

"Moreover, I have a connection with the two of you. I also like this little fellow very much. He is sensible, and I would be very happy to take you as my disciples," Gu Changqing continued.

The mother and son were very excited upon hearing this, so without saying a word, they knelt down on the ground and said, "Disciples pay respects to Master."

"Haha, get up. I've gained two more disciples." Gu Changqing said with a faint smile, pleased with himself.

"Husband, you're so quick to take on disciples! Congratulations on successfully taking on another disciple," Jiang Qingcheng said with a slight smile.

"No problem. If your husband wanted to take on disciples, it wouldn't be long before we could catch up with the number of disciples in the Qingyun Sect," Gu Changqing said with a faint smile and a hint of pride.

“Of course, my husband is very capable,” Jiang Qingcheng replied, going along with his words.

"Alright, let's not talk about that anymore. By the way, is it alright for you two to go back to your hometown? Do you want your master to go back with you and show you what's what?" Gu Changqing changed the subject and asked his two new disciples.

“Master, you are very busy and your time is precious, so let’s not take up any more of your time. Let’s go back on our own. We can’t always rely on you to stand up for us,” the woman in white said seriously, politely declining her master’s offer.

"Sigh, don't talk about trouble. Although your cultivation is sufficient, your foundation is not stable. I'm still a little worried. Why don't I go back with you?" Gu Changqing sighed and said with great concern.

"Thank you, Master. With you backing us up, we have nothing to fear. We weren't entirely confident before, but now that you're here, we're completely at ease," the woman in white said excitedly.

"Yes, yes, Master, you're so kind to us," the little boy said happily.

"Of course I'll treat you well, you're all my disciples. If I don't treat you well, who will I treat well?" Gu Changqing patted the little boy's hair and said with a doting expression.

"My lord, let's set off immediately without delay," Jiang Qingcheng suggested with a faint smile.

"Alright, let's get on the flying boat and head back to your hometown." Gu Changqing said without hesitation.

So the three masters and disciples, along with Jiang Qingcheng and her companions, boarded a flying boat and left the place in the blink of an eye.

After flying for about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, Gu Changqing and his group arrived at the small town where his apprentice was from.

Xingyue City.

Gu Changqing stood amidst the clouds, looking down at the city below. It was an ancient city with a long history, its thick walls covered with all sorts of strange and unusual runes, exuding an aura of vicissitudes.

This city is a magnificent capital, incredibly prosperous, a land of outstanding people and abundant resources. The streets are bustling with pedestrians, and shops from all walks of life are as numerous as hairs on a cow. The ancient city seems to be inhabited not only by cultivators, but also by ordinary people of all kinds, as numerous as hairs on a cow.

Ordinary people who come here will immediately be attracted by the bustling scene.

A light drizzle is falling from the sky, and people below are walking back and forth with their oil-paper umbrellas, creating a picturesque scene.

When Gu Changqing and his group entered the city, they happened to stumble upon the opening of an auction house, which had invited more than ten dancers to perform.

These dancers, dressed in thin gauze that subtly revealed their jade-like white skin, swayed their slender waists and danced gracefully on stage, a sight to behold.

Thinking it might be a waste not to watch, Gu Changqing stood below the stage and watched for a few seconds.

Without saying another word, he turned and left.

Without saying much, Gu Changqing asked directly, "Where do your enemies live?"

The woman in white quickly replied, "It's at the end of this street in this city."

Gu Changqing nodded, and then the group disappeared. In a short while, they appeared at the place the woman in white had mentioned, where they saw a house.

From a distance, the gate is black, and various frightening and terrifying monsters are carved on it, which is very scary and looks particularly gloomy, making people feel like they want to suffocate.

Upon closer inspection, Gu Changqing noticed two guards at the entrance, dressed in ordinary gray robes with a large black sword at their waist. They stood there expressionless and motionless, like statues. If one didn't look closely, they wouldn't be so easy to spot. Gu Changqing simply ignored these two watchdogs.

Without saying a word, Gu Changqing walked straight inside, but before he could even get in, he was blocked by two gray arms, and then two gleaming broadswords appeared in front of him.

"Halt! What are you doing here? No one is allowed to enter without our master's permission." The two gatekeepers drew their longswords and blocked their way, their faces grim.

"Go to hell, get out of here, or I'll make sure you all die a horrible death." Gu Changqing said with a cold laugh.

"Enough with the nonsense, we two aren't buying it." One of the gatekeepers sneered, speaking arrogantly.

He dared to say that because he couldn't sense any cultivation level in these people, which made him so confident.

Little did they know that the two guards were too weak; they were only at the Dragon Transformation Realm and couldn't sense the aura emanating from Gu Changqing and his companions at all.

Gu Changqing frowned, too lazy to waste words with these two trash, and without saying a word, he slapped them twice.

With a loud bang, the two men were sent flying backward, crashing through layers of walls and even the city's courtyard walls, leaving two human-shaped holes. The walls couldn't withstand the force and collapsed with a deafening roar, a truly terrifying sight.
