Chapter 52

Chapter 52

You Mian threw the food in his arms to Yan Tingxuan.

When he saw the man come to his senses in an instant and reach out to take it, You Mian looked at him sideways and said calmly, "Is it fun to act like a pitiful victim?"

Yan Tingxuan was speechless for a while, then smiled bitterly and said, "I don't have such an idea..."

"Yan Tingxuan."

You Mian interrupted Yan Tingxuan's voice.

The boy's amber eyes seemed to be able to see through all the disguises and false words of the man in front of him.

"I know you better than you think." You Mian lowered his eyes and said coldly, "Stop pretending to be pitiful. I won't fall for it."

Yan Tingxuan took off his glasses and wiped off the raindrops on them.

Not knowing whether it was true or not, the man nodded.

Just as You Mian turned around and was about to leave, Yan Tingxuan asked calmly, "You got so close to Pei Huaiji just to avoid us, right?"

Yan Tingxuan guessed it, so he was so careless at the beginning.

Sure enough, You Mian said, "In the beginning, yes."

Yan Tingxuan immediately asked: "What about now?"

The rain was getting heavier and heavier. Not only did Yan Tingxuan not help the program team to find vegetables, but he also kept chatting with him.

The endless topics exhausted You Mian's remaining patience.

So You Mian was very straightforward. Without hesitation, with an expression that showed his impatience clearly on his face, he turned around and kicked him hard in the knee.

The man didn't expect You Mian to suddenly attack. He lost his balance and fell to his knees. He hurriedly supported his body with one hand, held the umbrella handle with the other hand, and looked up at You Mian in embarrassment.

You Mian stood in the rain holding an umbrella, and her voice was colder than the wind beside her.

"It's none of your business," he said.

Yan Tingxuan leaned on the wet ground with his head down and remained silent for a while.

Finally, he gently patted his knees with his dirt-stained hands as he looked at You Mian's back, and stood up dejectedly.

He smiled and straightened his trouser legs, picking up the black umbrella that had fallen into the mud in the rain as if he were picking up a piece of tattered dignity.

In the remaining tasks, Yan Tingxuan seemed to be making up for the time he had just lost. He concentrated on finding ingredients and soon had a pile of BBQ raw meat skewers in his arms.

You Mian was walking in front holding an umbrella. Seeing that the rain was getting heavier, the boy turned his head to look at him, then immediately quickened his pace.

It looks like we're going back to camp.

Yan Tingxuan pursed his lips helplessly, thinking that You Mian was unwilling to say even a word to him now.

But Shen Nanxiao and Pei Huaiji, who were sitting under the shed of the RV tidying up the grill, still saw the two of them walking towards them one after the other, not too far away.

And each of them held a lot of food in their arms.

Ana Shen smiled and stood up from the low stool, walked to the edge of the shed and waved, “Thank you for your hard work!”
