An Ning was the one who went in first, with Qi Huan following behind her. The light for the two of them came from An Ning's cell phone with its flashlight on.
The phone's built-in flashlight wasn't very bright, barely illuminating the way ahead. Anning looked around with her phone in hand. There wasn't much unusual behind the wall, but there was a staircase leading to an unknown destination.
The staircase looked stained, as if it had never been cleaned since it was built, and was already in a state of patina.
This didn't attract An Ning's attention. She glanced at Qi Huan and asked, "Do you dare go down? The dean is probably inside."
She asked casually, in a tone that suggested she would go down even if Qi Huan didn't want to.
Qi Huan twitched the corner of her mouth. "Go ahead."
Seeing that Qi Huan agreed so readily, An Ning did not hesitate and immediately went down the stairs.
The staircase was very long; it took Anning and Qi Huan a full two minutes to reach the ground. Judging by the time it took, they were probably already deep underground.
This is a Tibetan settlement built underground.
It's estimated that Ji Yan and her group are inside.
Her personality has changed a lot in this episode.
The person who came was definitely not a good person. He was the director of this place called Angel Sanatorium. He was plain-looking and unremarkable, and would have been lost in a crowd in an instant.
The incense burner remained completely still.
Hoping for a miracle.
As he said this, he pointed to the spot where he had just been standing, and what he was pointing to was the large iron barrel.
Yes, Jiang Yu was hiding behind that iron barrel. After hearing Qi Huan's voice, he was completely certain of An Ning's identity. He stopped hiding and stepped out to quietly watch An Ning.
Just as An Ning was thinking this, she heard a sound coming from not far away. The sound was very soft, and it sounded like footsteps that had been deliberately lowered.
Moreover, it was packed in such a large iron barrel; even a fool could tell that what was inside couldn't be anything good.
Lin Hang sensed something was wrong and frowned, "You guys?"
Bai Qinian originally didn't want to come up and embarrass himself, but he had no choice since Jiang Yu had already made those remarks. Even if he didn't want to go up, he had to.
Then came what Ang Lee saw on the camera.
It's okay if An Ning didn't recognize it, but Qi Huan did.
However, his gloomy and cruel temperament is something that ordinary people rarely possess.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Bai Qinian took the lead and was the first to walk inside.
After he came out, he realized that he hadn't been able to see Qi Huan because the spot where Qi Huan was standing was too dark.
Anning asked, puzzled, "What's wrong with it?"
No one objected. Since they couldn't get out anyway, there was no harm in taking a look, and they wouldn't lose anything.
Shortly after they went inside, they heard someone open the door again.
At first glance, I thought it was an earthquake, but after listening carefully, I realized it wasn't an earthquake at all; it was clearly someone banging on the door.
Ji Yan stared blankly at the scene, unsure how to react for a moment. After a long pause, she finally said, "This... do you want to go in and take a look?"
When An Ning asked about his situation, Jiang Yu didn't hide anything and honestly told her what had happened.
Formalin is a medical solution commonly used to preserve cadaver specimens.
Because he had been climbing the stairs for a long time, Jiang Yu's hands were slightly weak, and he accidentally dropped the iron bucket. This was the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground that Li An heard.
There was no response.
It's as difficult as climbing to heaven.
The man in the lead shook his head and said only, "Officer, you should go in quickly."
It looked like they had been robbed.
While An Ning and Qi Huan were talking, Jiang Yu stood aside without saying a word, as if he was thinking about something very important.
That is peace.
Jiang Yu had no way to deal with the incense burner, so he turned around and called over the others, "Xiao Bai, why don't you give it a try?"
An Ning's answer was too decisive, and even though the voice was familiar, it still didn't reassure Jiang Yu to leave, until he heard another voice, "Brother Yu?"
An Ning didn't want to get involved in their ridiculous conversation, so she walked ahead on her own for a while, putting some distance between herself and the two of them.
The key clicked as it was inserted into the lock and fiddled with the lock cylinder. Ji Yan, who was walking at the back, felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing the sound.
Everything started to go wrong after they entered the room.
An Ning didn't know what he meant by looking at her, and only asked, "What's your situation now? Were you locked up here?"
The moment the person entered, the door, which had been wide open, was suddenly slammed shut, leaving not a single crack.
Unless you smash the door down, there's no way you can get out.
Hiding behind the barrel?
The unexpected happened when he let go and prepared to replace him. Because his hands were quite weak, Bai Qinian used the incense burner to wipe the sweat from his hands. As a result, the incense burner, which had been unresponsive before, was moved by him.
This thought persisted until the sound of the iron gate hitting the ground rang out, at which point Jiang Yu suddenly realized that his jinx had finally come true.
The opening was so large that even Jiang Yu, the tallest among them, could stand upright and pass through it; it looked exactly like a door without a door.
He had instructed Feng Lin to do it. He originally thought the security guards would resist, but they didn't. They just stood there obediently, waiting for the police to come up and handcuff them.
