As soon as An Ning stepped out of the greenhouse, she saw the staff waiting outside. They were wearing uniforms and had cold, expressionless faces. When they saw An Ning walking over, they reached out to grab her arm, but An Ning dodged them.
After evading their capture, An Ning darted to the two men in black and asked, "Can I come back later?"
Her tone was very certain, as if she was absolutely sure of her guess.
But the two men in black ignored An Ning and just stared at her expressionlessly. When An Ning turned back to the greenhouse, they ignored her attempts to stop them from grabbing her arms.
However, their ignoring Anning's reaction didn't make her feel uncomfortable; she continued to give her analysis.
“When the director pulled me into the small room, I could hear clearly that Director Li said I was infected. But after the game officially started, I found a blue information card with very clear information. So for the first time, I doubted my identity. But I didn’t doubt whether I was infected or not. I doubted whether I had two identities.”
Upon hearing this, the men in black paused slightly, but they still didn't respond to An Ning's words and continued to lead her to the place where eliminated guests were supposed to go.
An Ning kept a close eye on their movements, and when she saw the man in black pause slightly, she became even more certain of her guess.
She continued, "So when I found the second information card marked in red and saw that its contents were exactly the same as the information card marked in blue, I was certain of my guess."
"And the blue identity card that everyone just saw with their own eyes further confirms my guess."
Her pace appeared slow, yet she managed to stay ahead of the two men in black. An Ning walked with her back turned, looking directly at them.
“I think the reason my identity card was marked as ‘Traveler’ instead of ‘Infected’ is because I directly received the information card highlighted in red, which was the most specific. Without that information, no one else could confirm my identity, which is why the blue identity card appeared. Don’t you agree?”
As soon as they finished speaking, they had successfully arrived at their destination. Anning stood at the door, quietly watching the two men in black, waiting for a positive response.
But she failed. The man in black, who was conservatively estimated to be 1.9 meters tall, looked at her with a calm expression. "Miss An, you are very smart, but the rules were not made by us. Your questions will be answered inside."
He gestured for her to follow, and Anning looked at him for a long time before laughing, "Okay."
He then walked inside.
Upon entering, she saw an old acquaintance with whom she had a misunderstanding, and the old acquaintance's clothes still had the tear she had left on the shoulder.
An Ning blinked. "Haha, after being eliminated, will everyone be sharing a room?"
As she spoke, she walked towards the innermost part, simply because that was where Ji Yan was furthest away.
"Anning, this was your doing, wasn't it?"
Ji Yan didn't let her off the hook, looking at her with a faint smile, but the smile in her eyes didn't reach her heart.
An Ning pretended to be deaf and dumb, completely ignoring Ji Yan.
She sat down and started taking fruit from the long table in front of her, stuffing it into her mouth non-stop, as if she had never eaten fruit before.
Actually, to be honest, she hadn't eaten this in a long time.
The tens of thousands of yuan she had weren't enough to pay off her debts, and that was just what she earned yesterday. A few days ago, her meager savings were barely enough for basic necessities like food and shelter; if she spent even a penny more, she would starve to death.
It's truly pitiful that a celebrity like her has fallen to such a state.
So she really hasn't eaten fruit in a long time, let alone these out-of-season fruits that cost tens of yuan per kilogram.
Looking at the big, plump, and juicy red strawberries, she didn't care at all, even though she knew they were all grown with pesticides. She grabbed a handful and put them into her mouth one by one.
No one else could be wronged, but her cherry-like lips could not be wronged.
Seeing that An Ning didn't answer her, Ji Yan got a little angry. She got up and walked to An Ning's side. Seizing the moment when An Ning threw the strawberry, she quickly and accurately caught one and held it in her hand. "You're a traveler, why did you use a dart to eliminate me?"
She originally wanted to use the word "kill," but the word was on the tip of her tongue and she just couldn't bring herself to say it.
It wasn't because she thought the word was bad, but because Anning hadn't reached that level.
The two were nearly four meters apart. An Ning threw such a large dart at her, yet it didn't even graz her skin. She herself couldn't believe that she hadn't deliberately controlled it.
That's why Ji Yan changed her wording at the last minute.
Seeing Ji Yan approaching, An Ning realized she couldn't escape anymore and had no choice but to patiently explain, "Isn't it because I think I'm infected?"
Ji Yan scoffed, "You're infected, do you think I don't know?"
She looked down at Anning and said, "The Director of the Rules has already told me that the reason your identity card is blue, which represents a traveler, is not because you are actually a traveler, but because you were originally a traveler and only became an infected person later."
"In other words, you weren't the first one infected by the pathogen; you became an infected person after being infected by the initial infected person."
An Ning listened attentively, tilting her head slightly to meet Ji Yan's gaze. Seeing that Ji Yan was no longer going to say anything more, she made a reasonable deduction, "In other words, I really do have two identities. The traveler is just my camouflage, while the infected is my true nature."
