Chapter 29 Why don't you guess?

Under An Ning's deathly gaze, Wang Dahu mustered his courage and repeated what he had just said, "There are... there are still nineteen people buying water..."

After saying that, he quickly lowered his head, not daring to look An Ning in the eye.

I was terrified that I would be killed by An Ning the next second.

An Ning's expression had completely vanished. She stared blankly at the burly man opposite her, mentally calculating her chances of winning.

Twenty against two, if you go easy on them, they might cripple you.

Oh, she's the one who's half-crippled.

"Why did you call me over at a time like this? Don't you know how to run? Are you legless or brainless? Can you even beat the people on the other side?" An Ning looked ahead, but her words were directed at Wang Dahu.

Wang Dahu asked in a serious tone, "Boss, can't you beat twenty people at once?"

"If I could beat twenty people, why would I be acting? Wouldn't it be faster to make money by robbing them?" An Ning gave him a cold look, and finally couldn't stand it anymore. She kicked Wang Dahu in the kneecap. "If you don't run, you're finished."

After hearing his boss tell him to run away twice, Wang Dahu finally believed him. While touching his knee, which was numb from being kicked, he reluctantly turned his head to look back, "Boss, be careful—don't get hurt—!"

Even after he left, he didn't forget to curse her a couple of times. What a good little brother of hers!

Almost the instant Wang Dahu's figure disappeared, the scene where he was facing off against only one person changed instantly.

The person opposite her had turned into a huge group, a dark mass. An Ning didn't know exactly if there were twenty of them, but she knew she couldn't beat them.

Therefore, Anning, who was good at seeking help from others, decisively decided to make a call for help.

She had already typed "110" into the call screen on her phone, just waiting to press the dial button. Anning glanced at the other person, then at her phone screen, and gave a bright smile. "I'm just a little trash. I don't know how to fight. I only know how to call the police."

The moment the word "alarm" left his lips, the emergency call was successfully connected. Lin Hang, who was standing next to the operator, couldn't help but twitch his eyebrows when he heard that familiar voice.

What's going on?

Didn't she just finish recording a show?

Why call 110 so late at night?

Lin Hang's doubts were all answered in the next second. "Hello, I need to call the police. I'm on Binhai West Road right now. After you see Shaxian Snacks, walk ten meters to the left and you'll see me. Someone is going to kill me. I'm terrified. Can you please ask a police officer to come and save me?"

Before the operator could even speak, Lin Hang, who had been eavesdropping, vanished in a flash, as fast as a rocket launch.

Anning was finally relieved after hearing a positive reply from the other party. All she had to do now was wait for the police to arrive.

While she was calling the police, the twenty burly men just stood there, staring blankly as An Ning finished her call.

"I called the police. Let the police handle our conflict." An Ning put her hands in her pockets, showing no fear in her eyes.

"Even if the police come, they can't save you." The other side remained arrogant.

"Really?" "Really?"

Two voices rang out simultaneously, and the roar of a motorcycle came rushing towards them. Lin Hang rolled off the motorcycle, holding a gun in one hand and his police ID in the other. "You mean, you're going to shoot me too?"

Anning had seen Lin Hang far too frequently in the past few days. Upon seeing him, she instinctively said, "It's you again? Is the police force in Jinghai so scarce? Do you have to do everything?"

Lin Hang rolled his eyes at her. "If it weren't for me, you would have been hospitalized for at least seven days today."

"If I look at it from another angle, I could earn at least 100,000 yuan." She habitually changed the subject.

"Brother, there's only one cop. Should we retreat or keep going?"

The conversation across from her reached An Ning's ears, and without a moment's delay, she repeated it to Lin Hang, "These people look down on you, thinking you can handle things on your own."

Lin Hang sneered, "But I have a gun."

"I have one too."

As she spoke, she pulled out a silver pistol and twirled it twice in her hand. "A prop for the show, it's not illegal, is it?"

Lin Hang didn't answer, but said, "My companions have come too."

"The fastest police response in history... Didn't you know the Jinghai Public Security Bureau was just 100 meters ahead?"

He said this to the group of burly men opposite him, his eyes filled with disgust as he spoke.

The sound of hurried footsteps grew louder as they approached. An Ning frowned slightly, turned around, and walked in the opposite direction. "This has nothing to do with me, Officer Lin. You can take your time with your work."

"You need to go back and give a statement! Quick, bring her here!" Lin Hang said to his colleague who had arrived late, watching her hurried departure.

Because she left too late, Anning was still arrested, completing the feat of being arrested four times in three days.

This time, however, she was treated better; she was questioned while sitting outside, unlike the previous times when she was questioned entirely in the interrogation room.

It was very late when she left the police station. The sky was pitch black and there weren't many vehicles on the road. After thinking for a long time, she decided to take a taxi home.

Perhaps because it was a quiet time and few people were taking taxis, Anning's car arrived very quickly. Because she was quite sleepy, she didn't even look at the license plate number carefully. As soon as she saw a car parked in front of her, she got in.

She only realized it when her phone suddenly rang.

When she checked her phone, she saw that the taxi she had booked had just arrived, while she had been in the car for five minutes.

Upon closer inspection, the surrounding roads appeared completely unfamiliar.
